“Pop singer Nelly Furtado said she received $1 million to perform for guests of the Libyan leader’s family—and now she’s going to donate the money, she acknowledged on Monday.
“In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Qaddafi clan to perform a 45 min. Show for guests at a hotel in Italy. I am going to donate the $,” Furtado said via Twitter…
Furtado is one of several American pop singers paid large sums of money by the Qaddafi family to perform.”
Other performers who have taken blood money and performed for this terrorist are Usher, Beyonce, 50 Cent and Mariah Carey.
We shall see (but I doubt it) if any of other performer returns the money paid by Gaddafi for their services.
Many performers are of the mindset that it is all about the money but then what about honor, dignity and sense of decency of oneself.
Not one of the performers who put themselves on display before Giddafi would have been ruined or hurt by saying no to this terrorist and $1 million.
When our performers put themselves on display to such horrible men, they send the message that they are for sale, body and soul.
It would be nice if American performers would remember that they are representing a nation not just themselves.

Hi, D. I was looking at your post on the daycare operator when my screen flipped & Nelly’s picture came up. For a second I thought she was the daycare operator, & I was definitely all for bringing her back to the states. Good for Nelly that she’s donating Daffy Gaffafi’s money. I’d like her even better if she gave the cash to a fund to benefit wounded US soldiers.

Good morning Bob, I too am a fan of Nelly Furtado and am equally pleased to hear that she is returning Gaddafi’s blood money. Our performers must learn to be attentive as to what they do and say. I would have liked to see her give the money to Wounded Warriors or a similar organization myself.
