The House Ethics Adjudicatory Subcommittee found Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-New York guilty Monday on 11 counts of breaking House rules.  The last count was not a full consensus.  The third count was a 4 to 4 vote.

The Subcommittee has recessed and will resume session this afternoon.

It is unknown at this time how long the Committee will take in its closed executive session to deliberate on the 13 charges against Rep. Rangel, but they will continue to deliberate today. When the Committee reaches their decision regarding Rangel’s guilt on each charge, they will make a public announcement and send a report on their findings to the full Ethics Committee, which would then hold a public sanctions hearing. If a violation is found, the Ethics Committee would vote on disciplinary measures and send a final report to the full House to take action.

Maxine Waters is next.  Bring it on.  Waters hearing will begin the week of November 29, 2010.  Both of these thugs are the reason we need term limits.

Reid’s Jobs Bill Includes Tax-Evasion Provisions

Maybe Harry Reid should start looking at his fellow politicians on the left and the right who have been skirting their tax paying duties.  Then I suggest he move on to the Democratic Party’s friends and special interests groups who have done the same thing.

Moreover, can’t Democrats be honest for a moment as those with money and good accountants will continue to utilize the loopholes in the IRS tax codes intended to protect the rich and famous or not so famous.

“WASHINGTON—Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid intends to use measures cracking down on offshore-tax evasion to pay for the cost of a $15 billion stimulus bill he wants to push through the Senate this month.

The tax-enforcement provisions are the main offset for Mr. Reid’s jobs-creation bill, according to text of the legislation introduced Thursday.

The White House said Friday Mr. Reid’s plan should generate bipartisan support, but added that the measure will be one of many pieces of legislation targeted at job creation.

Also helping to pay for Mr. Reid’s bill is a two-year delay of provisions that help U.S. multinationals lower their tax bills by relaxing interest allocation rules. That step would take effect in 2020 instead of 2018, under Mr. Reid’s bill.

Both of those provisions were also included to help pay for a larger jobs-creation bill introduced by Sens. Max Baucus (D., Mont.) and Charles Grassley (R., Iowa). But that $85 billion bill would have raised additional revenue by barring paper manufacturers from claiming a biofuels tax credit, and delayed pension funding rules.”
