As expected, John Boehner’s final betrayal, one of them anyway, before stepping down as Speaker of the House is the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 adding $85 billion to our national debt.

It is both Boehner and Senate Majority Leader/RINO, Mitch McConnell who delivered this gift to Barack Obama but not before 2016 Republican Party primary candidate, Senator Ted Cruz called McConnell out on the Senate Floor on Thursday.

“Now Mr. President what does it say to that a supposedly Republican majority of the United States Senate negotiates a bigger spending bill than Harry Reid and the Democrats?

When Harry Reid and the Democrats were in charge of this body, they jacked up spending they jacked up spending in our debt $63 billion.

When the Republicans take charge, oh baby we can do it better. Sum $85 billion….

The Daily Signal by Kate Scanlon

In a speech Thursday on the Senate floor, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, sharply criticized the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, a budget deal between former House Speaker John Boehner and President Barack Obama.

Cruz said the deal is yet another example of the failure of the “so-called Republican majority” to deliver on their promises to the American people….

‘Nineteen times in the last ten months this so-called Republican majority has passed legislation, has had a vote succeed where a majority of Democrats supported it and a majority of Republicans opposed it,’ Cruz added. [approx. 56:26 of video]

Cruz said that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., ‘has proven to be a very effective Democratic leader….’

Negotiated for weeks behind closed doors, the usual suspects pushed and passed another crap budget bill that bankrupts the United States, its citizens, our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with no signs of ending.

According to Melissa Quinn of The Daily Signal, “Conservative senators went head-to-head with Republican leadership before the vote….”

Case in point, in addition to Ted Cruz, remarks made by Senators Rand Paul, Jess Sessions, Mike Lee on the Senate Floor calling out this disastrous piece of legislation.

Thank You for Listening by Sarge

Senator David Vitter’s effort to challenge the “Sanctuary Cities” in Louisiana, as well as other states, was killed violently in the Senate. In a 54-45 vote against the legislation the Democrats (and some stupid Republicans) have decided “Sanctuary Cities” are more important than the safety and security of the residents of those specific cities.

Vitter pushed the legislation since a San Francisco woman was allegedly murdered by a man in this country illegally. It was determined the suspect was a repeat illegal entry offender with a long criminal record and multiple prior deportations. The legislation would have also denied such cities some federal funds.

Marjorie Esman of the Louisiana ACLU said: “A lawsuit to challenge an illegal detainer is by definition not a frivolous lawsuit. If somebody is detained illegally, their rights are being violated and they need somebody…

National Border Patrol Header

The National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers is writing today to advise all Americans that there is good news for the citizens of these United States taking place in the United States Senate in the form of new legislation currently known as Senator Jeff Sessions State and Local Law Enforcement Act.

We at NAFBPO have long advised that the true weakness in border security that must be addressed first is the lack of effective enforcement in the interior of the United States. This glaring deficiency is probably the major long term factor encouraging illegal aliens to come into the United States and remain even though they have been apprehended during the commission of other crimes subsequent to their unlawful entry by State and local officers….

Below is a Jun 22 2015 press release from Senator Sessions:

Chairman Sessions Introduces Immigration Enforcement Bill In Honor Of Officers Slain By Illegal Alien

“Congress spends too much time catering to special interests, and not enough time serving the people who sent us here. Advancing this bill would be a dramatic step towards reestablishing the severed trust between the people and their government.”

WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, announced today that he was introducing legislation in response to the planned and sustained dismantlement of immigration enforcement in America. The legislation would end the mass release of criminal aliens, return law and order to devastated communities, and ensure the consistent and uniform application of federal law. The proposal, which builds on legislation introduced by House Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee Chairman Trey Gowdy, is named after Detective Michael Davis and Deputy Danny Oliver, two local law enforcement officers who were murdered by an illegal alien with an extensive criminal history:

“I applaud Chairman Gowdy and Chairman Goodlatte for their dedicated work in carefully crafting this crucial measure. The introduction of this companion bill in the Senate is another important step towards protecting the lives and livelihoods of American citizens. The legislation is named for Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Detective Michael Davis, who were gunned down in the line of duty by a twice-deported illegal alien. Had our nation’s immigration laws been enforced, both of these slain heroes would be with their families today.

In America, tens of thousands of preventable crimes occur each year, including the most violent and heinous, because of our failure to enforce our immigration laws. Too many people are living in fear of violent gangs and drug cartels as a result.

Every single day, law officers at the state, local, and federal level are forced to release criminal aliens who pose a threat to community safety—in violation of current laws that require deportation. Additionally, in the last two years, ICE released back onto the streets 76,000 convicted criminal aliens. There are 169,000 criminal aliens at large in the United States right now who have criminal convictions and were formally and lawfully ordered deported. The Administration’s tolerance of sanctuary cities has also resulted in another 10,000 potentially deportable arrested aliens being released by local law agencies since January of last year. And, 121 of the criminal aliens who’ve been ordered deported in the last few years and were released by ICE have now been charged with additional homicide offenses.

This legislation will ensure cooperation between state, local, and federal officials, each with their own valuable role. It will crack down on sanctuary cities. It will empower our Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to actually enforce our immigration laws—protecting the jobs, wages, and well-being of the American people. It will make sure that our immigration policies are carried out—not ignored.

Congress spends too much time catering to special interests, and not enough time serving the people who sent us here. Advancing this bill would be a dramatic step towards reestablishing the severed trust between the people and their government.”

Townhall.com by Judge Andrew Napolitano

A decision last week about NSA spying by a panel of judges on the United States Court of Appeals in New York City sent shock waves through the government. The court ruled that a section of the Patriot Act that is due to expire at the end of this month and on which the government has relied as a basis for its bulk acquisition of telephone data in the past 14 years does not authorize that acquisition.

This may sound like legal mumbo jumbo, but it goes to the heart of the relationship between the people and their government in a free society….

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) seeking the 2016 GOP presidential nomination co-sponsored the USA FREEDOM Act of 2015 along with Senators Mike Lee (R-Utah), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Dean Heller (R-Nev.), Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Al Franken (D-Minn.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.)

Cruz.Senate.gov

“A clean re-authorization of the USA PATRIOT Act’s bulk record collection program is not acceptable,” said Sen. Cruz. “It is absolutely critical for Congress to balance the privacy interests of law-abiding citizens against the public’s interest in national security. The USA FREEDOM Act of 2015 strikes the right balance by ending the National Security Agency’s unfettered data collection program and implementing other surveillance reforms, while at the same time preserving the government’s ability to obtain information to track down terrorists when it has sufficient justification and support for doing so. I am pleased to join with Senators Lee, Leahy, and others in this bipartisan reform effort, and I look forward to working with both Republican and Democratic colleagues to see that this bill crosses the finish line. Americans deserve nothing less.”

The Freedom Act Bill passed yesterday in Congress on a bi-partisan vote, 338 to 88 after “only one hour of floor debate, and no allowed amendments….” (See The Intercept, USA Freedom Act Passes House, Codifying Bulk Collection For First Time, Critics Say)

As Judge Napolitano states in the above article, “How do we know that the Freedom Act is a Band-Aid only? Because the NSA supports it.”

In addition, so does Barack Obama because the legislation passed yesterday is supposedly in line with a proposal made by the despot last March. If Obama supports it, we should all be worried.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), also seeking the 2016 GOP presidential nomination stated earlier this week that he will take a stand for liberty.

Surely to piss many in the Senate from Mitch McConnell down, Paul intends to filibuster the Freedom Act bill when it hits the Senate floor.

“I’m going to lead the charge in the next couple of weeks as the Patriot Act comes forward,” he said in a one-on-one interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader. “We will be filibustering. We will be trying to stop it. We are not going to let them run over us. And we are going to demand amendments and we are going to make sure the American people know that some of us at least are opposed to unlawful searches.”

Well that’s Rand Paul leaving Ted Cruz and other so-called lovers of liberty behind on the liberty scale.

In the November 2014 elections, voters overwhelmingly rejected Barack Obama’s draconian policies from the Affordable Care Act to amnesty to NSA spying and bulk collection of metadata under the guise of thwarting terrorism yet the Progressive Republican establishment continues to embrace unconstitutional tyranny policies.

The latest betrayal is the move to extend the Patriot Act, Section 215 spearheaded by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Intelligence Committee Chair Senator Richard Burr.

The bill numbered S1035 reauthorizes Section 215 the provision in the Patriot Act granting the NSA’ bulk data collection of Americans’ telephone records through 2020.

Washington Post

The move comes as a bipartisan group of lawmakers in both chambers is preparing legislation to scale back the government’s spying powers under Section 215 of the Patriot Act.

It puts McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.), the bill’s co-sponsor, squarely on the side of advocates of the National Security Agency’s continued ability to collect millions of Americans’ phone records each day in the hunt for clues of terrorist activity….

In addition, McConnell and Burr invoked a Senate rule enabling them to bypass “the traditional committee vetting process and take the bill straight to the floor.”

Surveillance Reform Is a Must for PATRIOT Act Reauthorization

While there may be certain sections of the PATRIOT Act that can be justified under national security grounds, we should not be so quick to surrender our civil liberties out of fear. It would be a simple task for Congress to reform Section 215 and end mass metadata collection once and for all. With this information, the government can piece together massive amounts of details about your personal life….

Even according to our own intelligence officials, Section 215 is not keeping us any safer, it’s just putting more power into the hands of government snoops.

Take a stand. Send a message now. Tell your lawmakers to reform section 215 of the Patriot Act!): Stop the NSA’s Warrantless Spying.

BeFunky_null_1 Senator Mark Pryor

Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor, a Progressive in a mostly Conservative state has been caught lying thanks to Project Veritas, James O’Keefe.

Pryor who has taken a “public” stance that he does not support gay marriage has been lying to constituents in order to be re-elected as proven in the following video in which the Project Veritas went undercover.

Members of Pryor’s campaign team revealed to undercover operatives of Project Veritas that Pryor does indeed support gay marriage as confirmed in the video by gay activist, Bailey Rae Bibb, chairman of the Stonewall Caucus.
