Eight law enforcement officers have been shot and killed in less than a month with four dying in a span of 10 days so it should come as no surprise that police departments across the country would seek blessings and protection from a Higher authority.
Outraging the usual atheists suspects, one week after Houston Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth was shot 15 times a point blank range by a mad man, the police department located in Childress, Texas has placed “In God We Trust” decals on its police vehicles.

“In God We Trust” decal placed on all Childress Police Department vehicles (Facebook).
On the Childress Police Department’s Facebook page beneath the above photograph of a Black police SUV with a decal in the back that reads “In God We Trust” Chief Adrian Garcia wrote, “Please excuse the dirty unit. I had to share this with the public. Notice what I will be putting on all Childress Police patrol units. Thanks, Chief Adrian Garcia.”

‘I think with all the assaults happening on officers across the country … it’s time we get back to where we once were,’ Garcia told the Red River Sun newspaper. He did not respond to an Associated Press request for comment….
Other law enforcement agencies have cited different reasons for adding the phrase to their vehicles. Mark Nichols, the sheriff of Randolph County, Missouri, said he had it added to his department’s fleet in July out of a sense of patriotism….

To the disdain of the atheist organization, Freedom from Religion Foundation just waiting for the perfect opportunity to sue, decals have been popping up on police vehicle across the country.

Last month, Freedom from Religion Foundation sent a letter to the police department in Walton County, Florida demanding that they remove the bumper stickers from police department vehicles, a demand of which did not go over well with the County Sheriff. (See Sheriff Adkinson’s response here).

A Florida sheriff has a defiant message for atheist activists who are demanding that he remove ‘In God We Trust’ bumper stickers from official police patrol vehicles: ‘Get a judge’s order or a new sheriff.’
That bold response came from Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson after the Freedom From Religion Foundation, an atheist activist group, sent the county a letter last month demanding that the bumper stickers be taken off.
‘If the Freedom From Religion Foundation wishes us to take them off our vehicles I suggest that they get a judge’s order or a new sheriff,’ Adkinson wrote in an August 5 response letter to the atheist group. ‘I see absolutely no conflict in this matter.’

From where I stand, those who have been attacking Christians based on the church vs. state have pigeonholed themselves in that the war they wage against Christians is selective.
If a Muslim law enforcement officer or state employee were to walk around with a sticker or button that says “Allah-u Akbar” or something to that effect, the atheists attacking Christians would give Muslims a pass.
As far as law enforcement appealing to a Higher authority, I say they put their lives on the line everyday for all, regardless of ethnicity, class or ideology. Let them have their faith.
To those who would be to differ, save your breath. I’m not drinking your kool-aid.
Whether Progressives like it or not, religious persecution has entered the 2016 election. Don’t mess with us.
To be continued….for certain.
