According to an article in the Washington Post, the Washington Cathedral in Washington, D.C. will be hosting its first “jummah” (Muslim prayer service) this Friday.
As expected the organizers have a statement to make by permitting Muslim leaders to hold midday service at this venue famously known for presidential funerals and other worship services.
‘We want the world to see the Christian community is partnering with us and is supporting our religious freedom in the same way we are calling for religious freedom for all minorities in Muslim countries,’ said Rizwan Jaka, a spokesman with the prominent ADAMS mosque in Sterling, Va., one of the co-sponsors of Friday’s service. ‘Let this be a lesson to the world.’
By the way, only those invited are welcome with their prayer rugs in tow.
In a prepared statement Ebrahim Rasool, South African ambassador to the United States and a Muslim stated
This is a dramatic moment in the world and in Muslim-Christian relations… This needs to be a world in which all are free to believe and practice and in which we avoid bigotry, Islamaphobia, racism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Christianity and to embrace our humanity and to embrace faith.”
The cathedral’s director of liturgy, the Rev. Gina Campbell and Ebrahim Rasool, worked to bring the two faiths together for the event.
The event is being co-sponsored by Rasool, the cathedral along with the usual Islamic advocacy radical entities such as the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS), Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and Masjid Muhammad mosque in Northwest Washington.
BNI in her article, NO, this isn’t the first time the National Cathedral in Washington DC has turned itself into a mosque poses the question of the cathedral, “will it become a mosque/terrorist training center EVERY Friday from now on?”
The Cathedral has welcomed Muslims in the past, often at interfaith services and events, as well as at the Interfaith Conference of Greater Washington’s annual concert and specific programs such as the 2008 Ramadan Iftar at the Cathedral College. But this is the first time the Cathedral has invited Muslims to come and lead their own prayers in a space known as a house of prayer for all people….
In addition to none of this passing the smell test, two words that comes to mind, i.e., collusion and proselytization. By the way, the service will go livestream so that Muslims all around the world can view this submission to Islam.
Moreover, how much is the Cathedral being paid by the federal government and/or from these radical Muslim groups to cooperate? How much did it cost their souls?
Islam is not religion it is an ideology and it is evil. To invite evil, one who hates God into His House is blasphemy and the church officials who have agreed to this are heeding the words of government not the word of God.
