The Louisiana Standards are currently being reviewed and will be revised so now educrats want to drop the term Common Core because it’s “toxic.”

The Advocate reports:

Brigitte Nieland, who follows public school issues for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and backs the changes, noted that the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education calls the guidelines Louisiana standards.

“I just think most people want to get away from the phrase ‘Common Core,’ ” Nieland said. “We are all aware of how toxic that term is….”

LONDONDERRY, N.H. – Federal bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. are threatening a New Hampshire school district after it withdrew its local high school from the National School Lunch Program. School officials last year decided to remove Londonderry High School from the National School Lunch Program after nutrition regulations championed by first lady Michelle Obama resulted in a significant drop in cafeteria sales, and a significant increase in food waste, the New Hampshire Union Leader reports.

The move meant the high school forfeited federal subsidies that come with the program, but officials increased lunch prices and introduced new offerings students love to make up the difference, and then some[…]

As punishment for opting out of Michelle Obama’s National School Lunch Program, the USDA is threatening to treat the school as a processing facility, the categorization of which would “impose substantial regulatory and financial burdens.

GOVERNMENT TYRANNY is at play here. The federal government is punishing the school for opting out of the federal school lunch program even though opting out has provided the school “more leeway to design its own dining offerings,” increased student satisfaction and healthier for students.

The school board plans to contact legislators in the efforts of securing a waiver for the school. (The USDA is really going to hate the school’s salad bar.)

Parents Beware: This Might Be THE Most Invasive Survey Ever Given to a 7th Grader.

The moment America’s children return to school after a summer break that never seems long enough, out pops those invasive surveys.

Macey France of Politichicks posted a screenshot of a survey/questionnaire Texas schools (rest assured it’s not just the state of Texas) are distributing to students for completion and return to the schools.

Invasive? To say the least and none of their business.

This appeared in Texas, coming home from school with a 7^th grader.  Students were asked to ‘check all that apply toy and your fast realm of knowledge.’ A few of the questions:

‘My family has an online checking account and monitors bills online.’

‘During the holidays, my family hires a decorator to decorate the house….’

In light of the above discovery, C. J. then attempted to access Planned Parenthood to find out if PP was blocked as well.

Of course not. This is selective censorship by a Progressive educational system pushing the Progressive agenda. Indoctrination takes priority over education.

Most parents, I am sure, have no idea that their children are able to access sites such as Planned Parenthood from school computers.

All the grunting, screams and chatter meld to form an uncommon orchestra as more residents gather to eat. Then we hold hands and sing: “Bless the Lord, you, God’s servants, / All of you who live in God’s house, / Lift up your hands to the Holy Lord / Proclaim God’s greatness and the power of God’s name. Amen.”

Eating at a L’Arche house can be discomfiting if you’re a stickler for table manners. There is much spitting, spilling and gurgling. But gradually the discomfort melts away, and the residents draw you into their world, unhindered by politeness or social rank. That’s the point of the place: to understand what it means to be human in all its imperfect forms, and to mark human dignity where it is least physically obvious.
