Unified Patriots by Vassar Bushmills

If you haven’t noticed, our war with the Left has taken a turn for the better.

So, in keeping with my general opinion that ideologies that are counter to our constitutional understanding of freedom should be sent packing as unceremoniously as possible, it follows that when I find the Left down, if only for a moment, the most logical thing to do is kick them…only not in a way that sates my appetite, but rather make them hurt.

Intentions matter in this war.

So by hurt, I mean to make them despair, to make them doubt themselves. To hold them up for mockery in front of their own, for they have built-in defense shields against our mockery. I want their followers to come away so disillusioned with their rhetorical heroes that in their despair, they may actually turn to self-reflection. Then I want to be there leading their way back to the light. If leftwing leaders lose face with their herd, to the extent they can known shame, they will feel it, and they will retreat, if for no other reason than to avoid being strung up by their own mobs.

With that sort of pain in mind, at every turn we should harass them, blight their path, as much as a way as to cause them to doubt themselves as to cause them to flee. If they are going to hate us, let’s make them hate us for the right reasons, so that we have the ability to reveal to the world, their world, their weaknesses and fears.

We need to define, then undermine, the pillars they have erected themselves prop up their self-image and vanities.

Proverbs 26:12; it’s a Law

Going forward, our operating rules should be based on Proverbs 26: 1-12, the first eleven verses outlining the universally-understood deficiencies of the “fool”, all rules worth digesting as they apply to the minions of the Left; from college students to petty politicians to internet trolls..

But those eleven verses merely set up how much more degraded is the King of Fools by comparison as defined in verse 12:

“Do you see a person wise in their own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for them.”

The pillars that hold up the so-called “intellectual Left’s” self-image, Barack Obama being a prime example, are all based on an image of self that while largely false, and often funny, as in ha-ha funny, also contain the ingredients of their own self-destruction[…]

John Kasich’s presidential campaign is less than thrilled that the Never Trump movement might be pulling out of New York and Pennsylvania hoping instead to stymie Donald Trump in states that are more receptive to Ted Cruz and less so to Trump.

NBC by Leigh Ann Caldwell and Kailani Koenig

Kasich’s team insinuates that the stop-Trump effort is ignoring the delegate-rich state of New York because Cruz is polling in third place. They are also concerned that anti-Trump efforts will not enter Pennsylvania, either, another state where Kasich is also in second place.

Kasich’s chief strategist, John Weaver, tweeted his frustration.

Seems the #nevertrump movement has other motivations, not trying to stop him in NY or PA. #games

— John Weaver (@JWGOP) April 10, 2016

Two anti-Trump groups, which are also the best funded – Our Principles PAC and Club for Growth – have indicated that they will stay out of New York. Club for Growth has endorsed Cruz. Our Principles PAC has not….

What would give the Kasich campaign the idea that Club for Growth is pro-Ted Cruz?

Our Principles PAC – anti-Trump? Nah.

As for the Kasich camp, they are making their displeasure known across social media.

Coriolanus, Act V, Scene III. Engraved by James Caldwell from a painting by Gavin Hamilton Wikipedia public domain

It must be my week for posts about Trump….

Ross Douthat has written a piece for the New York Times: “The Party Still Decides” (HT LRC).

Calling on Lenin

From Ross:

POLITICAL parties are mentioned nowhere in the Constitution….

You would think this would end the conversation – well, in some countries maybe. Not in banana republics.

What did some of the founding fathers (for lack of a better term) think about political parties?

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.

JOHN ADAMS

However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

GEORGE WASHINGTON

Well, there is the “con” side of the argument. Will anyone speak for the “pro”?

A party is the vanguard of a class, and its duty is to lead the masses and not merely to reflect the average political level of the masses.

VLADIMIR LENIN

OK then.

Back to Ross:

…there will be a lot of talk about how all these rules and quirks and complexities are just a way for insiders to steal the nomination away from him…

Well, they have already said they are planning to do this, so…yeah…I guess we can talk about it.

We can expect to hear this case from Trump’s growing host of thralls and acolytes. (Ben Carson, come on down!)

Are Rubio’s supporters described as “thralls and acolytes”?

But we will also hear it from the officially neutral press, where there will be much brow-furrowed concern over the perils of party resistance to Trump’s progress….

Finally, an open admission from a writer at the Times – as we will NOT hear this from the Times, there is no reason to continue pretending that this fish-wrap is “officially neutral.”

Murder, He Wrote

Ross goes on to predict (or suggest?) Trump’s fate:

Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, for one:

Coriolanus is the name given to a Roman general after his more than adequate military success against various uprisings challenging the government of Rome. Following this success, Coriolanus becomes active in politics and seeks political leadership. His temperament is unsuited for popular leadership and he is quickly deposed, whereupon he aligns himself to set matters straight according to his own will. The alliances he forges to accomplish his own will result in his ultimate downfall and death.

He is murdered for his supposed betrayal of Rome.

George Wallace for another:

He was a U.S. Presidential candidate for four consecutive elections, in which he sought the Democratic Party nomination in 1964, 1972, and 1976, and was the American Independent Party candidate in the 1968 presidential election. He remains the last third party candidate to receive a state’s electoral college votes.

A 1972 assassination attempt left Wallace paralyzed, and he used a wheelchair for the remainder of his life.

Huey Long for a third:

Huey Pierce Long, Jr. (August 30, 1893 – September 10, 1935), nicknamed The Kingfish, was an American politician who served as the 40th Governor of Louisiana from 1928 to 1932 and as a member of the United States Senate from 1932 until his assassination in 1935.

One fictional character, two flesh-and-blood humans; this pretty much covers everything that is Trump – and about in the right ratio.

An Adolf by Any Other Name…

To add insult to assassination, Ross throws in a Hitler comparison – not directly, because that would not be “neutral.” Instead, he offers Sinclair Lewis’s Buzz Windrip:

…the novel describes the rise of Berzelius “Buzz” Windrip, a populist United States Senator who is elected to the presidency after promising drastic economic and social reforms while promoting a return to patriotism and traditional values. After his election, Windrip takes complete control of the government and imposes a plutocratic/totalitarian rule with the help of a ruthless paramilitary force, in the manner of Adolf Hitler and the SS.

Conclusion

You have to be a pretty good writer to draw on the politics of Lenin, call three times for an assassination attempt, and make a Hitler comparison – all without saying so directly even once.

Arrest Trump For “Hate Speech” Hysteria Begins – Global Elites Frantic (Video)

Since all else has failed to take down Donald Trump, the GOPe is colluding with their comrades on the far left are entertaining the thought of throwing Trump in jail for inciting to riot?????

After all, Trump is not towing the party line, saying nor doing what they want him to say or kowtowing to Communist thugs like Marxists on the left and even some on the right.

Before It’s News

In the video below, you’ll see that left-wing loons have already formed a petition to “Arrest and Prosecute Trump” for his use of alleged hate speech, and their petition can be found on the Whitehouse.gov website. The far left is insane… they really are. They are grasping at straws and trying to use the precedent set in the famous Supreme Court case Brandenburg v. Ohio as the basis for their claim.

In Brandenburg v. Ohio, a leader in the Ku Klux Klan, made a speech promoting the taking of revenge against the government if it did not stop suppressing the white race and was therefore convicted under the Act.

The issue was whether a Statute, prohibiting public speech that advocated certain violent activities, violate the Defendant’s right to free speech under the First and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution (Constitution)?

The court held YES it did violated the Defendant’s free speech. The mere abstract teaching of the need or propriety to resort to violence is not the same as preparing a group for violent action. Because the statute failed to provide for the second part of the test it was overly broad and thus in violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution. Furthermore, the Supreme Court has held that in order for “incitement to violence” speech to be constitutionally barred, Brandenburg sets a new standard. The language must:

(1) expressly advocate violence;

(2) advocate immediate violence; and

(3) relate to violence likely to occur

Liberal leadership has really stooped to a new low on this one. This once again proves what Newt Gingrich Said on Fox News About How “Trump is Not An Illuminati Member, and Because He Hasn’t Had Initiation!,” the global establishment will stop at nothing to eliminate Trump from the election.

Carly Fiorina Calls out Establishment of Both Parties for Expressing “Horror” at the Choice of Voters.

On Friday night, former 2016 Republican Party presidential primary candidate, Carly Fiorina let the establishment of both parties have it with both barrels.

Fiorina called out Progressives and the mainstream for pushing the meme that it is Hillary turn after which she nailed the GOP establishment for their vote for whom we tell you meme.

Compounding the insult is the nerve of the GOP establishment to express “horror” over the preference of voters.

Breitbart News by Alex Swoyer

At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) near Washington D.C. hosted by the American Conservative Union, Fiorina lit into the establishment for expressing “horror” at the choice of the voters.

‘The Democrat establishment, aided and abetted by the media establishment, decided that it is now Hillary’s turn,’ Fiorina said of the Democrats. ‘At last year’s CPAC, many in the media called me ‘mean’ because I said, ‘Flying is an activity, not an accomplishment. Mrs. Clinton, please name an accomplishment.’’

She then turned to her own party.

The Republican establishment thought it too knew just what to do after the 2012 election. First, they decided, we needed comprehensive immigration reform. Then, we needed to talk less about ‘the social issues’. And there were too many candidates in the 2012 primaries….

BEFUNKY Sanders New Hampshire 2015 by M Vadon Clinton CSIS Conference 2011 in Brazil_Fotor_Collage

Food for thought in this early election season.  There is much at stake.

Sons of Liberty Media by Erik Rush

Now that the Iowa caucuses are behind us, I suspect that we can count on this election season to become even more hyperbolic all the way around. I am basing this on the trends I’ve seen to date, with the increasingly bizarre deportment of all concerned. Conservative voters and pragmatists are aware that the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been, taking into account the incomprehensible damage that has been done to this nation by the current administration.

Meanwhile, the election cycle is showcasing two of the most dangerous leftists the Democratic Party could conjure up as presidential hopefuls: the larcenous, ambulating obscenity Hillary Clinton – who is probably more personally evil than anyone in the Obama cabal – and the geriatric Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders , whom the conservative press references as a socialist, though his political views are more closely aligned with communism….
