    The Art of the Deal

How Donald Trump plays cards…

President Trump trumps Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan

Donald Trump to Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan:

There’s a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, and it’s bringing me out the dark
Finally, I can see you crystal clear
Go ahead and sell me out, and I’ll lay your ship bare
See how I’ll leave with every piece of you
Don’t underestimate the things that I will do

There’s a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, and it’s bringing me out the dark
The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love, they leave me breathless
I can’t help feeling
We could have had it all
(You’re gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You’re gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it to the beat

Oh, and one more thing. On the budget and the deficit: Trump is already doing what he can do unilaterally by trimming executive departments, agencies. As in throwing DACA back in the hands of Congress, they have had ample time to cut programs, departments, agencies as well. In the end, it’s on them, not him.

‘WE’, the people, could have had it all.

If You Want A Litmus Test Question For Republican House And Senate Primary Candidates, Here It Is

Third [final] 2016 presidential debate

Speaking for myself, I am apoplectic that the Republican Party in the House and the Senate are blocking President Donald Trump’s agenda, an agenda that I voted and continue to support.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell leading the blockade have proven themselves a threat for years and it must end in 2018.

Below is an guidance manual as to how we can resolve this issue.

Please Ask Them The Question, If You Can, On Digital Video, In Front Of Others, And Get The Promise In Writing, Too

A couple of days ago a good friend from Ohio asked me which candidate he should support in the 2018 Republican Party primary election in Arizona, where I live, to take out #NeverTrump incumbent Sen. Jeff Flake. I told him I had not yet made up my mind, as there might be others who will get into the race. Currently, the front-runner is former Arizona state senator Dr. Kelli Ward, who ran against Sen. John McCain in the 2016 primary election.

My friend, Ohio precinct committeeman Rick Herron, who really, really “gets” what matters in political party politics, told me to ask this question of all of the Sen. Flake challengers, including, as set forth below, Dr. Kelli Ward:

The only question worth asking her [Dr. Kelli Ward] or any candidate for the Senate is: “Will you vote For or Against the Freedom Caucus candidate for Majority Leader?”

No other vote means a hill of beans. If she votes for Mitch McConnell, she IS Mitch McConnell.

Our candidates must be made aware that as far as we are concerned their first vote is their only vote.

It doesn’t really matter what they personally think about issues. It only matters what the Majority Leader thinks about the issues.

Let’s not be fooled again.

The same question needs to be asked of every “conservative” running against an incumbent #CampaignConservative Republican: Will you vote for or against the Freedom Caucus candidate for Speaker of the House?”

And when you do this, make sure you get them on video. Here’s why. (You can scroll to the 3:15 mark of the video.)

And why does Rick advocate this? Because . . . it is fundamental[…]

If you stop to consider the profile of James Hodgkison there is more there there than first imagined. I’m sure when the media covered the various Occupy events in 2011-2012, no one noticed the few 50+ to 60+ year old men wedged in between all the snowflakes and sonnenkinder. He was not crazy, any more than an Islamic suicide bomber is crazy. But he did decide, as the Cheyenne would say, it was a “good day to die” leaving himself open to return fire, and no avenue of retreat. He used a 1950’s era Soviet/Chinese mainline infantry assault weapon, designed to hit a target from 100-200 yards, yet tried to gun down men from around a hundred feet. From longer range, better concealment and some target training, he could have squeezed off one-two rounds in less than ten seconds, hit two targets, disposed of the gun, and walked to his van, and been back in a YMCA taking a shower before local police could have cordoned off the area. He could have, as the training manual reads, “lived to fight another day.”

Unless an autopsy shows he was dying of cancer, we may never know why he chose to die so stupidly. But we are all thankful that he was such a lousy shot.

Still, he sent a clear signal about who the Left has placed its bounty on. And maybe even more importantly, who it has not.

When it was revealed that Hodgkison carried a target list in his pocket listing only GOP Liberty Caucus members, it made Speaker Paul Ryan’s words about family morph into something less universal, since he and his leadership weren’t targets after all. In certain circles that’s a big deal[…]

The People’s Commission to the Republicans

Subject: What to do about a Republican Party that is so stockholmed with fear, fractured by ambition, tone deaf to its own people, culturally monochrome, buried in petty policy differences and sharing a personal dislike for the commander-in-chief who actually empowered them…that it cannot carry out a simple Commission given it by the People of the United States?

For the third time in American history the American electorate has taken over the political process and issued strict orders to its elected employees.

I need to emphasize this:

The first time was the Civil War, 1860-65, the second time, World War II 1942-1945, and this last time, today, moving forward, in each case to restore a survival-endangered plank of America’s existence as a nation of free people.

In each of these three cases America found itself at an existential crossroad and each of those times the American people, not the Congress, not the business-as-usual politics of the day, defined the terms of how the government would move forward and how it would all end.

For those few years, less than five, while life was changed, yet went on, in both home-town America and the political affairs in Washington, the Congress was entirely beholding to the will of the People, it’s primary duty, its directive, staring them in the face each and every day until it was over. Every other duty was secondary.

If you will look more closely at the Civil War years you’ll note that petty political life was more or less suspended for the duration. While there were still taxes to be levied and collected, businesses to run, the only purposeful business of America those four years was to build an arsenal of arms and men to fight a war with its own brethren in order to preserve the Union and, in the bargain, end slavery…which the people and the Republican Party who had won the national government in only its third try, considered an insidious evil.

And as long as Abraham Lincoln lived, he kept that mission in front of all others[…]

Always begin any analysis with a unified theory. And any unified theory about repealing, replacing, or repairing Obamacare  must begin with natural law, more specifically the natural law of politicians.

The natural law of politicians is that they are a race of cowards. All of them.

Now, politicians all have several constituencies, even Lady Nan Pelosi, Lady Disdain (Hillary) and certainly the leadership of the Republican Party. And they all fear one constituency more than the others.

Finally, as we all know, “the American people” have been sitting fairly low on the totem pole for most elected politicians as to who they fear for many years.

That all changed just a few months ago..

For years the Republican leadership has marched to the tune of their donors (more than one), who, in recent years we have learned have taken on a more ominous globalist halo, with a hint of authoritarian leanings. These are the people the GOP leadership fears and much of their time is dedicated in making what these donors want them to do to seem palatable to  the second group they fear, the voters, who allow them to stay in office[…]

SABOTAGE: Paul Ryan’s Top Aide/Former Romney Advisor Behind Leaked Trump Tape?

Below is an excerpt of my follow up to Monday’s post entitled, Both Parties are Guilty of Manufactured Outrage against Trump, which I posted on affiliate blog Grumpy Opinions earlier today.

The timing of a private taped discussion between Donald Trump and Bill Bush eleven years ago surfacing one day before Paul Ryan was due to attend a rally with Donald Trump, two days before the second presidential debate AND on the same day of two document dumps of Hillary Clinton’s emails leads one to believe that there was some major backroom plotting going on.

If true and I suspect that it is, did the Republican Party establishment who never intended to support Donald Trump to the end but just long enough to have secure their agenda, actually believe that the American electorate is so ignorant that we would not have pieced this horrible betrayal together?  Where did they get the idea that sabotage would force us to abandon Trump, a candidate chosen by the electorate not the establishment?

And did it ever occur to them that the retribution for said betrayal will be both forthcoming, swift and detrimental to the survival of Republican Party?
