While you may or may not be a supporter of taking over buildings to get attention to your cause, you will be shocked by what you see in this video of the killing of one of the Oregon protesters. Whether you agree with the methods or not, many believe their cause is just. You can read more here.
The Oregon protest at the Malheur Refuge ended for the most part when the FBI chased down the protesters as they left to go to a meeting. State police troopers killed protester LaVoy Finicum but the circumstances surrounding his death were not as they were told to us at first.
Investigators have announced that they believe an FBI agent fired twice at Robert “LaVoy” Finicum, missed and then concealed the shots.
We now know that LaVoy Finicum stepped out of his truck at the same moment a bullet pierced the roof of his truck and then the truck window through which LaVoy is seen. Two shots were fired.

The standoff at the Malheur Refuge hasn’t ended and Cliven Bundy is contradicting his son Ammon who urged people in the refuge to end the the protest. He is telling the protesters to stay. The remaining holdouts are David Fry, of Cincinnati; Jeff Banta, of Elko, Nev., and Sean and Sandy Anderson, a married couple from Riggins, Idaho. This entire protest needs to be called off before more people are called.
The family is raising the question of the use of excessive force and a cover up in the death of LaVoy Finicum, the only protester to die so far.
Oregon Live is reporting that LaVoy Finicum’s family is accusing the FBI and the Oregon State Police of covering up the truth. They say the shooting was unjustified. An analysis of the grainy tape and witness testimony has led the family to believe that Finicum was being shot at before he left the vehicle and got out to draw fire away from the vehicle’s other three occupants.
The family released a stronger statement than their original. They claim that he was shot while his hands were in the air.
“We believe he had already been shot before he ever lowered his hands,” the statement read. “We believe some of his hand movements were a natural reflex to being shot.”
“He appears to have been gesturing, or trying to keep his balance while moving in the deep snow. Although he may have been animated, he does not appear to have been threatening or posing any real threat or danger to anyone. The FBI claims that LaVoy had a loaded firearm in an inside pocket of his coat,” the statement read.

On Friday, an individual identifying himself as a former 23-year Indiana sheriff’s deputy told Steve Quayle that LaVoy Finicum was murdered by law enforcement authorities “for sure.”
The unidentified former deputy said Finicum appears to have been tased before being shot to death.
“If you look close, Lavoy Finicum was shot from the left by a policeman with a Tazer before he was shot with anything else,” the deputy said. “He was shot and killed laying on the ground after being rendered helpless on the ground from the wire fired Tazer”[…]
This is breaking, first-hand, eyewitness audio testimony of how LaVoy Finicum was killed by federal agents on January 26, 2016. The young lady’s voice that you’re going to hear was in the car with LaVoy, Ryan Payne, Ryan Bundy, and Shawna Cox.
The federal agents fired the first and only shots, according to this testimony. Finicum had his hands in the air when he was shot.
You’re going to likely see video testimony from this young lady in the near future. Please pray for this whole situation. This is a tragic thing that didn’t have to happen had cooler heads prevailed.

Below is an alert emailed to me from a fellow blogger with a link to an alert from the Oath Keepers updating us on the situation in Oregon, as not reported by the mainstream media. H/t Andrea.
[Following the alert, are posts and opinions some understandably more passionate than others when one takes into account the events unfurling in Oregon.]
Oath Keepers has received very credible information from an active duty source within the special operations community that at least one SOD-X (Reserve/National Guard Special Operations Detachment, see this, this, and this) unit under the command of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) has been tasked for this standoff at the Malheur Wildlife Reserve and moved to the area. Given this, we should expect that other special operations assets, such as Delta Force, will also be involved if the Obama Administration decides to give the green light on a military strike. And we should expect the presence of the infamous FBI HRT (which were present at both Ruby Ridge and Waco).
Due to this, anyone who has children there, at the wildlife refuge, needs to get them out immediately, and DO NOT take any more children there for any reason (and we do know that some children, including a baby, have been seen there). We do not need to have the risk of dead children in this incident. It is unconscionable and immoral for anyone to place children at risk of being in the middle of a firefight or military strike on the armed men holding that federal wildlife refuge. We DO NOT trust the Obama Administration to do this right, which would be to handle it like the Montana freeman standoff rather than the Waco standoff, and anyone who thinks that Obama won’t drop the hammer on Ammon and his men is a fool. We hope “the adults in the room” in the Administration and in the federal LEO and military community will keep that from happening, but hope is not an operational plan.
Get, and keep, children off the friggin X. This is not a “free speech” barbecue at Bundy Ranch with live music. This is a whole different animal. Children have no business there. In fact, there should be no non-combatants (no women and children) there at all. This is not a family event.

Militia occupation in Oregon Part II – The reactions
The reactions have begun in response to the militia takeover of a small building in the Malheur Wildlife refuge.
