ACCURACY IN MEDIA

A video on religious freedom and traditional values released a few months ago as part of an effort to highlight anti-Christian initiatives by the Obama Administration has now gone viral, generating over 2.1 million views on YouTube. The filmmaker, Jeremy Wiles, tells Accuracy in Media that the idea for the video came from a dream and that he now sees “God’s fingerprints” all over the project.

The 3-minute ‘Test of Fire’ video says voting for the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and religious freedom are of grave importance and poses the question, ‘Will you vote the values that will stand the test of fire?’ It shows a blacksmith pounding out words signifying various election issues but putting, ‘life,’ ‘marriage,’ and ‘freedom’ in the forefront and then being placed on an American flag….

There are two versions of the ‘Test of Fire’ video.  One version is intended to appeal to Catholics and the other, Protestants and Evangelicals.

Young Lady Banned from Utube by vindictive gays

The following video produced by sixteen-year-old Madeleine McAulay has been banned by YouTube because it did not meet their “community guidelines.”

McAulay is a resident of North Carolina, the state just voted down a gay marriage amendment, joining the 31 other states… the gays came out in force and utube removed her video… I’m not sure why. There is nothing in it that violates anyone’s Term’s Of Service– except possibly the TOS rules of a handful of sites the cater to homosexuals.. I suppose with Obama in Office and Eric Holder running the Justice Department– politically incorrect speech. as defined as defined by the far left is considered hate speech..

IN DEFENSE OF RUSH LIMBAUGH.

Maybe the correct title of this post should be, “As if Limbaugh’s the only one.”

As most of you already know, I tend to at times view the world through another lens which I chose to do this past weekend.  I ran my own little test, the results of which are provided below.

I showed the above video clip of the statements made by Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student, who has indicated that spending $3,000 a year for contraceptives out of her pocket for her have sex is not financially viable for her and should thus be funded by the federal government, er correction taxpayers.

I asked for reactions to Fluke’s statements and must say that the responses were far more harsh than that of Rush Limbaugh.

Not sugar coated in anyway, I must warn you that the language that came out of said results at times are quite raw and may be offensive to some.

Bear in mind that I reside in NYC, a socialist state almost by nature. Everyone who shared their opinions consider themselves Democrats and voted for Barack Obama.  In addition, only a handful of those I interveiwed are a part of the welfare state.

GROUP 1:  My son and his buddies.  The average age of these men are from their late 20’s to late 30’s.  Some of the immediate reactions were as follows:

“Ho!”

“Girl’s a f#### slut yo!”

“Ain’t that what Planned Parenthood is for?”

“Yo son, that b***** is a ho! Oh, excuse me Ms. S.”

“Georgetown huh? Where’s her dormroom?  I want to get in on this action!”

“So it’s like that huh?  Where she live Ma?”

GROUP 2:  Young Black American women, average age 18 to mid 30’s whose reactions were:

“What’s up with this b*****, she think she too good for Planned Parenthood?”

 “How she gonna go on tv and put her business out there like that? What’s up with  that”

“Ho!”

“Yo, she goes to Georgetown?  That ho’ is f***** her a*** off while she should be getting an education.  Let me go there!”

“Damn this b**** is a whore, omg!”

“She should be ashamed of herself.  Pay for your own contraceptives if you want to be out there like that.”

GROUP 3:  Mature adults (men and women) approximately ages 40 and over:

“I’m glad that’s not my daughter.  Her parents are paying for her to get a good education and instead she out there messing around all over the place.”

“That girl should be ashamed of herself going on down there and putting her business on the street like that.  That ain’t nothing to be proud of.”

“I don’t give a damn what she doing, I don’t want my tax dollars paying for her whoring around.  If she can afford to go to Georgetown, let her buy her own damn contraceptives.”

“These young girls out here are a bunch of whores.  I don’t know what their problem is.”

“Let her take her a** to Planned Parenthood, Walgreens, Duane Reade or Rite Aide like everyone else.  I ain’t paying of her to be out there f###### around.”

“She’s a ho, what do you expect?”

“She want to f### around, she can pay for her own shit.  I don’t pay for my own child to screw around there, why should I pay for someone else’s?”

“Thats why there’s so many diseases out there.”

Of course, when I recounted Limbaugh’s statement and the attacks being levied against him by the left, some folks responded “Rush Limbaugh, well he’s a racist anyway” while others agreed with the man even though they admitted that they were not Limbaugh fans.

One common denominator is that all were equally disgusted by Fluke’s statements.

For those who feel the need to lash out at me for my findings, forgeddaboudit!  They are what  they are.  I am not interested in engaging you, debating you, your attempts at baiting me or hearing from the Progressive side of the planet.

No amount of demonizing Rush Limbaugh will change the overwhelming viewpoints of Americans on both the left and the right in their true assessment of Fluke’s performance or the facts, which by the way happens to be that last week’s dog and pony show was exactly that thereby lacking any form of legitimacy whatsoever.

Moreover, Fluke is no victim or hero.  She is a so-called women’s rights activist close to a decade older than she stated last week before millions on C-SPAN and even worse a shameless propaganda tool for Progressives and guess whom else?  Oh yes, that never-ending campaigner-in-chief, Barack Obama, who rather than run on his accomplishments  failingss must run on distractions, misrepresentations, tainted realities and Marxist propaganda.

In other words, America, Fluke deception and participation in Pelosi’s circus last week was really about taking one for the boys.  Before Progressives reading this remark get all up in arms, note I said “taking one for the boys” not from the boys.

I refer you to The Blaze’s article referencing Sandra Fluke being a flake, fluke and propaganda tool for Marxists, primarily Barack Obama (my choice of words not theirs – excerpt below).

For me the interesting part of the story is the ever-evolving ‘coed’. I put that in quotes because in the beginning she was described as a Georgetown law student. It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women’s right advocate. In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown’s insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services,  she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy. During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed. Magically, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify. This morning, in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old,  NOT the 23 that had been reported all along….”

Obama’s War on Catholics: U.S. Army Chaplains SILENCED From Speaking Out against Obama Admin Ruling (UPDATED)

Last Sunday as Catholic priests throughout the nation read an open letter to their parishioners from their archdiocese condemning the Obama administration’s ruling to force religious employers to cover the cost of contraception and abortion-inducing drugs in its employees’ health-care coverage, chaplains in the U. S. Army were forbidden from reading any such correspondence during their Sunday service to parishioners. See sample of letter distributed by bishops here in pdf format.

NATIONAL REVIEW

“On Thursday, January 26, Archbishop Broglio emailed a pastoral letter to Catholic military chaplains with instructions that it be read from the pulpit at Sunday Masses the following weekend in all military chapels. The letter calls on Catholics to resist the policy initiative, recently affirmed by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, for federally mandated health insurance covering sterilization, abortifacients and contraception, because it represents a violation of the freedom of religion recognized by the U.S. Constitution.

The Army’s Office of the Chief of Chaplains subsequently sent an email to senior chaplains advising them that the Archbishop’s letter was not coordinated with that office and asked that it not be read from the pulpit.  The Chief’s office directed that the letter was to be mentioned in the Mass announcements and distributed in printed form in the back of the chapel.

Archbishop Broglio and the Archdiocese stand firm in the belief, based on legal precedent, that such a directive from the Army constituted a violation of his Constitutionally-protected right of free speech and the free exercise of religion, as well as those same rights of all military chaplains and their congregants.
Following a discussion between Archbishop Broglio and the Secretary of the Army, The Honorable John McHugh, it was agreed that it was a mistake to stop the reading of the Archbishop’s letter.….”

Not only were chaplains told not to read the letter, but an Obama administration official edited the correspondence.

Was the Obama administration testing the waters in this instant to see how far our military would allow them to go when it came to trampling upon the liberties of those in service?

The short of it:  these assaults by the Obama administration are a declaration war against Christians.

As reported by The Blaze, this is not the first time that religious freedom and liberty has come up in the U.S. military.

“The Becket Fund successfully sued the Pentagon over its gag order that barred military chaplains from preaching about legislation during sermons. Two military chaplains-a Catholic priest and an Orthodox Jewish rabbi-who desired to join the effort supporting H.R. 1122 (the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 1997) argued that the gag order violated their First Amendment rights under the Free Exercise Clause, the Free Speech Clause, and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, 42 U.S.C. 2000bb, et. seq.

The court agreed with The Becket Fund and held that the gag order was unconstitutional:

‘What we have here is the government’s attempt to override the Constitution and the laws of the land by a directive that clearly interferes with military chaplains’ free exercise and free speech rights, as well as those of their congregants. 962 F. Supp. at 165.’

In particular, the court rejected all of the arguments advanced by the government to support their censorship of speech from the pulpit.

For example, the government argued that it was not an important part of the plaintiffs’ religion to urge their congregations to contact Congress about particular moral or political issues. The court soundly rejected that argument, holding that it was not the role of the government ‘to determine whether encouraging parishioners to contact Congress [about a particular issue like] the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act is an ‘important component’ of the [plaintiffs’] faiths.’ Id. at 161.…”
