The morale of New York’s Finest could not be lower and the crime stats couldn’t be higher and to prove my point nearly 90% of New York’s police officers believe that since Bill de Blasio took charge of City Hall two years ago the city is less safe.
According to an online membership poll by the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, a whopping 96% of the officers who took the poll felt that the relationship between officers and the public has worsened under de Blasio.
In spite of the hiring of an additional 1,300 officers, new bulletproof vests, 41,000 smartphones, 6,000 touchpad tablets, i.e., one for every squad car oh yes and slash-resistant gloves due to the increase in slashings that have been taking place throughout the City the past few months the de Blasio administration insists that crime has decreased by 5.8% over the last two years.
“These findings are highly suspect and fly in the face of the facts,’ said de Blasio spokeswoman Monica Klein…”We are experiencing historic lows in criminal activity. Murders and shootings are at their lowest in modern history. NYPD is the most effective police force in the country thanks to our officers’ dedication and commitment to their job….”
Balderdash. Slashings and stabbings alone have increased by 20 percent this year. The facts simply do not support de Blasio’s fuzzy math and lies.
Commie Bill is out of touch with NYC police officers and the people of New York, none of whom are buying the lies.
De Blasio and comrades in the NYC Council have fermented an anti-police environment throughout NYC to such a degree that for the first time in the history of NYPD, parents and family members on the force would rather their children and /or loved ones not follow in their footsteps.
Must Progressives destroy the family honored/time-honored tradition of everything they come across?

NYPD has taken into custody four of the five gangbangers who brutally raped an 18 year old female in Osborne Playground located in the Brownsville section of, Brooklyn, New York last Thursday.
The rapists now in custody range from the age of 14 to 17 years old. Two of the rapists, age 15 were turned in by their parents are 15 years old. Police are still searching for the fifth suspect.
‘…We have been working closely with the NYPD to bring the violent sexual predators who committed this horrific gang rape to justice and will not stop until every one of them is held accountable,’ said Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson….
The thugs who approached the 18 year old and her father as they walked through Osborne Park around 9 p.m. Thursday night put a gun to the father’s head ordering him out of the park after which each of the five men proceeded to brutally rape the young woman.
The father in search of help finally located two officers who returned to the park. Upon their arrival, the rapists fled on foot.
Fortunately, police was able to secure surveillance video footage of the rapists in a bodega moments before the rape.
Of course, the same politicians who for years accused NYPD of police brutality and walk hand in hand with the likes of Black Lives Matter while ignoring Black on Black crime held the usual press conference dog and pony show[i] outside Osborne Park to deny the arrest of the rapists and lambast NYPD for their alleged slow response.
NYPD refuting the allegations issued the following press statement.
“There was no delay in responding to the rape in the 73 Precinct.
A patrol car from the 73 Precinct was approached on the street and told about the attack by the victim’s father, who directed the officers to the scene. The police officers immediately responded and located the victim. The suspects had already fled. The police officers called for a supervisor and an ambulance, which responded and transported the victim to the hospital. There was no delay in the police response. There were no 911 calls associated with the attack, contrary to media reports.
There was no probative video in the immediate area of the attack. However, detectives in conducting an expanded canvas were able to find video in a bodega, after an extensive search around 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9. After review, retrieval and copying, the video was distributed to the media around 8 p.m. on Saturday to help identity the five males. The commanding officer of the precinct began contacting local community leaders preliminarily on Friday, January 8.
The department is still looking to identify the men in question in the video. Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to contact the department immediately.”

WARNING: MAJOR RANT COMING ON….
As noted in 73rd Precinct’s statement above, not one 911 call was placed. What the hell is wrong with the people who live in this neighborhood? You cannot tell me that at least a dozen people heard this woman or her father screaming for help.
Having lived in the hood and having played handball in Osborne Playground many times after dark as a teenager when we visited my cousin’s house, I can attest to the fact that there is a residential area on two sides of this playground.
As a matter of fact, we used to climb out of her rear window and walk about 20 feet to the playground.
Outrageous but wait, it gets worse. A bodega store clerk denied the victim’s father access to the store phone because he did not believe the man.
A bodega clerk on Sunday said he turned away the victim’s father when the man asked to use the store’s phone to call 911 moments after he and his daughter were set upon in the Osborn Playground in Brownsville.
The Gaston deli staffer, who gave his name as Sammy, said he didn’t believe the man’s story.
‘He looked normal. He didn’t look nervous or desperate,’ the clerk recalled.
‘A lot of people come here asking to use the phone. I feel bad now knowing why he needed the phone…’
SIDEBAR
This crime hits close to home.
As a child, I lived next to an empty lot on the borderline of Brownsville and Crown Heights. Back then the only telephones in my neighborhood was in the candy store on the corner, which meant that once that store closed at six p.m., telephone communication was non-existent.
I was 11 years old when it started and for the next three years, three days a week, every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday night, we heard the screams of women (sometimes 2 in a night) being raped.
Horrifying for me at such a young age unable to help and no phone to contact the police. Horrifying for the victims who soon realized that no one was coming to their rescue.
It was a poor neighborhood and the men in many of the families were away at war leaving the mothers to protect and care for their children.
The victims were nurses who worked at the hospital down the street. Easy pickings for this scumbag who everyone knew lived two blocks away because of their work hours. Of course, this tells me that the police knew but chose to do nothing.
The problem was eliminated only after the men on the block returned home from Viet Nam to their families.
To know that 46 years later with all of the phones and cell phones floating around Brownsville that no one placed a call to 73rd Precinct or 911 is appalling.
END OF SIDEBAR
Moving on….
While I personally prefer policing on foot and two officers in a cruiser, instead of helicopters flying overhead as adopted under the Giuliani era, not one of the Communist bureaucrats responsible for returning the City to the Dinkins era will own up to each of their roles in the no longer visible police presence, whether it’s on foot, in a police cruiser or helicopter.
The overwhelming lack of visibility of a police presence is a consequence of the war on police as orchestrated by the grievance industry including the likes of Black Lives Matter, Revcom and the de Blasio administration on the New York Police Department, adding to that de Blasio’s cessation of STOP and FRISK.
Stand up New York and demand the return of Concealed Carry and STOP AND FRISK. DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER and AS FOR THE RAPISTS, perp walk the BITCHES and let the world see who they are.
Finally, no protective custody for any of them.
END OF RANT.
[i][NOTE: Each time a crime that catches the spotlight is committed; bureaucrats taking advantage of a good crisis come out en masse.
Candles are lit, there’s a neighborhood protest demanding the arrest of the perpetrators and calls for more government funding under the guise of providing a safe place for the children.
The circus always unfolds in the presence of the media, the intent of which is to put bureaucrats and their faux outrage on record. Then once the media disappears, its mission accomplished and elitist Commie bureaucrats return to their hole in the wall comforted with the revelations that they are on record in addition to which there is plenty of footage to use later for campaign ads.
Always omitted from the conversation is that the thugs who commit these acts have no interest in safe places except to scout out a victim.]

NYPD Officer, Randolph Holder, age 33. A five-year veteran on the force killed in the line duty.
NYPD Officer, Randolph Holder (above) assigned to NYPD PSA 5 anti crime unit in the Housing Bureau was shot in the head and killed after he and his partner responded to calls of shots fired between rival gangs near East 102nd Street and 1st Avenue in East Harlem around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
[Rumor has it that Officer Holder was killed by a member of the Black Lives Matter crew (see bottom of post).]
Officer Holder, age 33 a five-year veteran of NYPD who lived in Brooklyn was shot during a foot pursuit that escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and NYPD officers.
The suspect wounded during the exchange of gunfire has been apprehended, is in the hospital and will be charged on Wednesday.
Witnesses reported they saw suspects along the footpath heading north on the FDR Drive, adjacent to the Harlem River, according to Bratton. Responding officers were informed by a victim who had his bike stolen after one of the individuals had him at gunpoint, Bratton said.
Officers spotted one of the suspects heading northbound on the bike on E 120th Street along the FDR Drive on the pedestrian overpass.
There was an exchange in gunfire between the suspect and two other officers, when one of the bullets hit Holder in the head.
The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended at E 124th Street on the FDR Drive. He had a gunshot wound to the leg and taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center. He will be released Wednesday morning…..
Three other suspects have been detained for questioning.
NYPD Commissioner, Bill Bratton, posted the following statement on his Instagram page.
Officer Holder is the fourth NYPD officer killed in the line of duty in the past 11 months.

NOT CONFIRMED BUT Rumor has it that Black Lives Matter member murdered Police Officer Randolph Holder?
On his website Soopermexican, is reporting allegations made by former NYPD officer John Cardillo that “his police sources indicate the shooter was a “Black Lives Matter” member.”

BREAKING: Audio of the police involved shooting in NYC tonight. I want everyone to hear what it really sounds like. https://t.co/Vm77UDdbRF
Several hours before the annual West Indian Day parade was scheduled to begin on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, New York Labor Day, the insanity began.
Less than six blocks from the parade route, Carey Gaby, Esq., age 43, Andrew Cuomo’s first deputy general counsel at Empire State Development, was shot in the head by a stray bullet as he and his brother attempted to take cover when as shootout began nearby between rival gangs.
A fight broke out Monday morning shortly before 4 a.m. as Gabay and his brothers left a party and were walking down the street near Ebbetts Field Houses, located in a particular unsavory section of Flatbush known to be extremely dangerous, any hour of the day, any day of the week.
According to police, two sets of people were firing shots at each other, on Empire Blvd. and on Bedford Avenue. Police recovered a semiautomatic weapon and 16 shell casings from the scene, they said.
After the incident, which happened at 3:41 a.m. ET, Mr. Gabay was taken to Kings County Hospital, where police said he was in critical condition and likely to die….
According to Aaron McNaughton, Gabay’s younger brother, “It was just totally random. Some guy walked up and was spraying bullets everywhere. I can’t believe it. He was a good guy, he just didn’t deserve this.’’
The shooter fired 8 to 10 shots into the crowd. Insane.
Gabay whose wife is pregnant is on life support while doctors make arrangements to donate his organs.
Unfortunately, the streets of New York, let alone Brooklyn, let alone this community will have had more than its share of bloodshed by Tuesday morning.
Not far from the shootings, a young man in his 20’s was stabbed. Video clip below (Warning: GRAPHIC).
On Sunday afternoon NYPD announced that it was dispatching 1500 officers to monitor the pre-dawn parties in Brooklyn. Little good that did to anyone victimized, raped, maimed or killed while out reveling.
The NYPD is dispatching an additional 1,500 cops to keep an eye on pre-dawn parties before the West Indian Day Parade.
The J’Ouvert march through Flatbush is an annual tradition that kicks off around 4 a.m. Monday in Brooklyn.
The party is full of dancers, costumes, bands and baby powder — but has also featured outbursts of violence in years past.
A high-ranking police source told the Daily News he’s expecting a long night.
‘We don’t have stop and frisk anymore. So, obviously, all the stuff we had stopped them from doing will start over again. The pop-up parties are them drinking all night. They’ll see you driving around and stop what they’re doing,’ the source said….
J’Ouvert “unofficially” begins around midnight and yes, it is an all night party of dancers, people dressed up in costumes, some in masks, steel bands on trucks and baby powder.
Combine that with alcohol, hot weather (last night was in the mid-70’s and humid), marijuana, the ingestion of other toxic chemicals non-stop for the next 24 hours and you have spontaneous combustion — VIOLENCE. (My perspective on J’Ouvert at bottom of post.)
Rather than deal with the problem that plagues the Black community, Black homicide, Black on Black violence, both Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio staged separate press conferences espousing the usual propaganda calling for gun control in the very community where Blacks are shot and killed by other Blacks every day of the week.
Hubris! B.S.!
At about the same time that Cuomo’s aide was shot, less than a half-mile away, Venita Haskins was grieving the loss of her 42-year-old son, Damon mortally wounded with a gunshot to the chest, the day before (Saturday evening).
Ms. Haskins lost her 32-year-old daughter, Tamecca Haskins one year earlier, July 6, 2014 not far from where Damon was killed.
Both were victims of Black on Black crime, the circumstances of which are eerily similar as both were shot in the chest
‘That’s my two oldest,’ Haskins, the devastated mother of five, told the Daily News on Sunday. ‘I’m very distraught right now … I’m at a loss for words right now….’
Reminiscent of the parades prior to and during the Dinkins era, liquor and marijuana was in abundance and enjoyed out in the open.
As it was during the Dinkins era, if you had respiratory problems, Eastern Parkway (the parade route) is the last place you needed to be on Labor Day.
Parade goers rewarding NYPD for turning a blind eye.
The New York Post is this morning reporting that NYPD turned a blind eye to “blatant law breaking” at the parade. (Considering the attacks on law enforcement nationwide, can’t say I blame them.)
Bratton stated early Monday that there was no need to ban parties ahead of the parade in spite of the bloodshed, which the police commissioner called “unfortunate” but “no reason to not go forward with the events.” (Translation: If they want to kill each other, oh well…)
An older woman covered her nose as several young men shared a joint, dancing and blowing smoke into the air.
‘A lot is happening that isn’t supposed to be happening,’ she said, a look of disgust plain on her face.
One young man was also seen pouring Hennessy cognac into an iced-tea bottle, then doling it out into plastic cups. Three pals who were spotted drinking brown liquid from clear plastic cups as they cavorted along the parade route admitted that their beverage of choice was the same type of booze….
NYPD sources said supervisors have traditionally urged restraint when dealing with parade goers, with one cop saying the brass ‘forbid us from making arrests, no matter what we saw, because they didn’t want riots….’
The exception to the rule being if someone was shot on a float or off a float which harkens us back to Bill de Blasio’s quality of life problem in the City.
Reports of Sunday to Monday Labor Day weekend violence:
[No one who attends the yearly parade or the West Indian American Day Carnival Association itself gives a damn about crime unless they’re directly affected. The event is a cash cow with a massive sponsorship, a primary reason for denying that the parade and surrounding festivities provide motive and opportunity for thuggish elements.]
In addition to nearly a month of endless reveling and festivities pre-Labor Day, there is always the sudden uptick of crime and violence Labor Day weekend.
Opportunity strikes as thousands of people from all parts of the world converge upon the community.
More than 2 million people attend the parade annually, preparations of which begin every year for the following year the morning after Labor Day.
On the weekend before the parade, there are pageants, costume balls, and parties throughout the area (city).
The clubs open about 7 pm Sunday evening and the parties start. Many leaving the clubs rather than go home pace the streets near the floats, steel bands and huge speakers are embedded flatbed trucks throughout the largest Caribbean community in the United States.
Sometime during the night, early Monday morning (pre-4 a.m.), thousands join the early revelers in the streets around the trucks blasting the music all night.
As the caravan begin to makes its way through the streets of Flatbush and parts of Crown Heights, thousands follow, many in costumes, covered by powder and just as many inebriated and/or under the influence of whatever move about until finally reaching the starting point of the parade, hours later. (Fortunately, I do not live on that side of town but for those who do, it is a sleepless night/weekend.)
Familiar with the goings on of Labor Day weekend in New York City since the West Indian Day Parades began in the late 1960’s, as a mother of a Black male, I am relieved when my son (now in his mid-30’s) touches base with me.
An even bigger relief is that for the first time in 17 years, my son was here in my house with me all night long. Trust me; it has been years since I slept so well on Labor Day.
I know that I’m sounding like a spoiler but for me, this is yet another downside of a sanctuary city.
I don’t get it but then I am American and the West Indian Day Parade is not about America or its people, another reason it is not my cup of tea.
I rest my case.
It was not until Labor Day 2012 after the September 11 Islamic terrorist attacks that the American flag was flown in this parade.
For the next four or five years after, the American flag displayed proudly sometime around 2008, those behind the West Indian Day Parade returned to their pre-September 11th anti-American habits.
The mentality is that while they make their living in the United States, feed of the American workforce, the parade is about them.
Complaints have poured in for decades about the violence around this parade, however, because it’s a means of showing off to the people at home and a cash cow for the organizers, Caribbean businesses and revenue for the City and State, no amount of dead bodies will put an end to this annual train wreck.
While Black lives matter, it is the battle for the golden goose that supersedes all.
Then there is the power struggle amongst the cliques, broken down by country.
As Americans, we mostly think of discrimination in terms of black v. white but in the Caribbean community, it’s broken down by country. (Trust me, I live in an apartment building full of tenants from different countries. From time to time, it gets dicey.)
Organizers of the West Indian Day Parade are making sure it’s run by a Trinidadian majority, say critics who are charging discrimination.
The West Indian American Day Carnival Association, which organizes the annual Labor Day event along Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway, has raked in more than $1 million in city, state and federal funds over the past five years, but the nonprofit isn’t inclusive enough to deserve taxpayer dough, according to Rickford Burke, the head of the Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy….
In the end and based on the non-stop helicopters flying overhead from Friday night through Sunday morning and then again Monday night, I would bet the ranch that much of the violence committed this past weekend has yet to be made public.
De Blasio Orders Immediate Hiring of Slews of Muslims to Serve as New York Police Officers
Isn’t favoring one religion over another unconstitutional? In the least it’s unfair and unAmerican. Apparently separation of church and state goes by the wayside when you recruit Muslims. People aren’t allowed to mention God if they’re Christians.
The Communist Mayor of New York City Bill de Blasio (photo above) is behind the fast track hiring of many, many Muslims in the New York Police Department (they can keep their beards, hi jabs et cetera). The idea behind it is if they hire Muslims, the communication with the community will improve…..
New Yorkers had better wake up before that Commie snake, Bill de Blasio tries to force feed New Yorkers Sharia Law at the hand of a gun and a badge. As for Bill Bratton, he does not have the stones to set this groundhog killing petard straight.
David Baril Hammer Attacker Facebook photo and photograph of hammer used in midtown attack of NYPD.
Earlier this week in mid-town Manhattan, David Baril, age 30 dubbed the hammer attacker went after four women in a not so random attack (woman hater) as is being reported by the media. Baril ‘s reign of terror came to an end when he was shot in the midst of attacking a female NYPD officer with a hammer by the officer’s partner . See video below:
Baril has been charged with seven counts of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the corner of 37th Street and 8th Avenue, uniformed officers Police Officers Geraldo Casaigne and Lauren O’Rourke responded to an unrelated assault. Upon completion of the job, they walked southbound on 8th Avenue toward 37th Street when they observed an individual fitting the description of a male suspect wanted in regards to four assaults that occurred on Monday, May 11, 2015.
The officers approached the suspect who then produced a hammer and swung it violently, with the claw side facing out, at Police Officer O’Rourke causing her to step back and fall to the ground. Police Officer Casaigne then discharged his weapon four times, striking the suspect twice, once in the right arm and once in the torso. Police Officer O’Rourke sustained abrasions and lacerations to the back of her head and back and was transported by EMS to Bellevue Hospital. Officer Casaigne was transported by EMS to Bellevue and treated for tinnitus.
Both officers have been treated and released. The suspect was taken into custody and transported by EMS to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition. The hammer was recovered at the location….
Finally, below are two poems posted to Baril’s Instagram page which speaks volumes. The first was posted June 2, 2014 and the second some time in 2013.
The bottom line is that the hammer attacker was on a mission of evil and had it not been for the thin blue line that is constantly under assault, Baril, if not taken down would have added murder to his resume of violence, hate and drugs.
