Of the 55% of Swiss who voted in today’s elections, 76.3% rejected a referendum proposal as proposed by trade unions for a $25 per hour national minimum wage.
… The country’s biggest trade union umbrella group had pushed the initiative to a vote, arguing a nationwide limit would entitle everyone to a ‘decent rate of pay’. In the grander scheme of things, they said the change would help reduce poverty and fight wage dumping, where firms bring in workers from abroad but pay them less….
Nine out of ten workers in Switzerland earn more than what was proposed in the now rejected referendum.
… The Swiss Business Federation, economiesuisse, described the rejection of the initiative as a clear signal that the electorate wouldn’t tolerate government intervention in a free market economy.
Its president, Heinz Karrer, said: ‘In recent weeks we were able to show that the initiative hurts low-paid workers in particular….’
If the referendum had passed the $25 per hour minimum wage would have been highest in the world.

… to guarantee a so-called “decent life” for low-wage workers, the Swiss are going to the polls Sunday to vote on a union-pushed referendum setting the minimum wage at 22 Swiss francs – or $25 per hour – which would be the highest minimum wage in the world.
If approved, about 330,000 Swiss – nearly 10 percent of the workforce – would see their paychecks rise, with the majority of these working in retail and other low-level services jobs and agriculture. About 70 percent of those affected would be women like Melanie Garcia, a sales assistant making $22 an hour in Basel….

In her opening statement on ‘Justice’, FNC’s Judge Jeanine Pirro exposes and defines Barack Obama’s continued and unchallenged abuse of executive power.
The dip wads in Congress fear the Communist establishment and being called racist more than they do Constitution loving Americans who elected them.
Message to Congress: Get over it and do your jobs. This is not about race but it is about right, wrong, justice, liberty and the rule of law.
Right the wrongs NOW!
Impeach, indict and incarcerate Obama, Holder, Pelosi and Reid…..just for starters. Oh yes and take that wench Jarrett too. Enough of the tyranny, i.e., the imperial presidency.
