As you may have heard by now, Eric Erickson of Redstate disinvited 2016 Republican candidate from this weeked’s Redstate gathering over a statement Trump made during an interview with CNN’s, Don Lemon.
You know, I listened to the interview and I never thought that Trump was referring to anything hormonal. I thought eyes. I thought ears….PERIOD (no pun intended, seriously).
Late last night, referring to Trump as a blunt talker which he is and a non professional politician (right again), Erickson stating that Trump crossing the line posted the following:
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, ‘You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.’
It was not the ‘blood coming out of her eyes’ part that was the problem.
I think there is no way to otherwise interpret Mr. Trump’s comment. In an attempted clarification, Mr. Trump’s team tells me he meant ‘whatever’, not ‘where ever…..’
Say what????
Days before the Fox New GOP Debate began, we learned of orders coming down from the GOP leadership and their big money donors to primary candidates (and as I suspected Fox News and other media outlets) to take out Donald Trump by any means necessary (enter the gender card. Alienate Trump, “blunt talker” from his base, one label at a time).
SIDEBAR
Giving Trump more debate time than the other candidates was a strategic move orchestrated by Fox News, no doubt at the request of the Republican Party leadership in the hopes that Trump would shoot himself in the foot.
As hard as they tried, Rand Paul, Megyn Kelly (see video at bottom of post), Chris Wallace, all actions backfired but that won’t stop the drumbeat to take Trump down.
The mainstream media is all over it.
END OF SIDEBAR
I could be over thinking this but here is where things get strange. Erickson also mentioned in his post that when they dispatched the final agenda for the Redstate gathering, they realized that Trump’s name had somehow been omitted which is when Erickson realized that the agenda was not final????? Excuse me?????
The other day, we sent out the agenda for the RedState Gathering. The file had been saved with the “final” tag and the Washington sent it out. But it still had Governor Deal on the agenda and it did not have Donald Trump on it. Obviously, it wasn’t the final.
I called Mr. Trump’s campaign manager and apologized and told him I felt bad for Mr. Trump because he has gotten so much sh*t from so many people and the party itself wasn’t treating the guy at the front of the pack as legitimate….

So then, Trump was not invited. Or he was invited and Redstate just waited in anticipating moment and opportunity to disinvite?
Immediately after the FoxNewsGOPDebate Thursday night, Erickson posted the following:
Tonight, Fox News was kind enough to probe the candidates on issues that matter to the Republican voters. The candidates showed humor and feistiness. The candidates were wise to let the moderators mostly handle Donald Trump. Trump was hilarious, but it seems even the crowd at the RedState Gathering who like Trump thought he lacked some depth where he should have had some….
Apparently, even Redstate has forgotten that this is about our country, our children and grandchild not the Republican Party and for the record, no one is buying this storyline as can be witnessed by the comments on social media and in the comment section beneath the above article, which Redstate has now closed.
See screenshot of moderator comment below:

Out of all the comments, these two comment says it all (screenshots).

Redstate ignoring the views of their base, by closing its comments went one-step further by exposing itself in a response beneath the following comment.

“We need Donald Trump to disappear.” Telling, indeed.
By the way, Redstate invited Megyn Kelly to speak in Trump’s place.
My take on all of this is that the Republican establishment is daring Donald Trump to go third party along with the rest of us because they don’t believe that voters will leave the Republican Party just as they banked last November that as disgruntled as we are with the Republican Party that on Election Day we would have our noses and vote Republican anyway.
Desperate to rid the party of Donald Trump, the Republican Party leadership is calling in favors and to their peril, websites such as Redstate are exposing themselves as pretenders and sock puppets to the elites but maybe I am over thinking this.
Message to Republican primary candidates: When the GOP leadership orders you to provoke and take out Trump don’t because when they are done, you’re next.

P.S. Eric Erickson is sure sounding defensive. Why is that?
