President Donald J Trump breaks the Overton Window. See credits below**

See credits below**

I know I’ve been at this too damn long when little anklebiters like Cernovich get on my nerves on a Sunday morning. “I threw the largest Inauguration event of 2017. So if you’re new here, kindly shut the f-ck up and read a book before lecturing me about “the base” or 2020. I actively made stuff happen, and I don’t care about 2020, and that should concern people.”

So this guy who was nobody who jumped the Make America Great Again movement at the right time in history isn’t concerned with 2020. Curious has Mr. Cernovich ever walked a precinct? ever made calls for a candidate in his Democrat wasteland of California? Can Cernovich show he was a Precinct Committeeman? this is the hard in the trenches work of the movement of Republicans. Its not a twirl around the merry go round of movements. I said to Cernovich on that illustrious piece of crap known as twitter, what have you done for me lately? I come late to the GOP as my family were union members in Baltimore City, it was Democrats from birth to death well I beat that grim reaper (I’m sure I’ll be voting Democrat after I’m dead again). What I’ve learned in my now 17 years of being a Republican is that the work is hard, its slow and its both glorious and defeating. This country didn’t get this way overnight and one man and be clear Trump is an island is going to change it all back. It is the JOB of Republicans and curious citizens to the Republican Party to make that change.

2016 was a dream, it was the dream of change of putting a stop to the left. It did just that, it jerked them to a full stop within the government. You’ve watched them thrash about as they try to keep the Overton Window shifted left but Trump broke that window, millions more now know what so many of us already learned and you cannot go back to sleep[…]

DARWIN AGREES WITH GOD ABOUT MAN’S THIRST FOR LIBERTY

(Note: I’m trying to reformat a book about the Constitution and the Common Man, so I began rereading a lot of scientific literature about evolution, natural selection, territory and instincts, provocative things I’d read in the 70s, then laid aside as they had no immediate impact on me, since I was still in my 20s and predictably stupid back then.

(I now plan to “prove” that the thirst for Liberty is innate in Man and can be proved scientifically as well as through Morality, Reason and Logic, themes we dwell on all the time. I decided to make this the book’s hook, that Man’s desire and right to be free is agreed upon by both God and (some) Darwinists. And  since God is much older, He still gets top billing.

(This article is only a synopsis of the lynchpin theme in my book, introducing this thesis, the chapter itself rather long. I think you’ll find this entertaining, and just a little intellectually challenging, especially for those of you who thought all evolutionists moved in lock step with all those creepy anti-religion, anti-liberty scientists who seem to do the Left’s bidding these days. They don’t.)

In the 13th Century there was an interesting Franciscan friar named Ramon Llull (pronounced “yoohl”), who, like another philosopher 400 years later, was also a noted mathematician. So Llull understood both the immutable laws of logic and God’s laws.  He was also something of a charismatic, which even in the days of the Crusades was rare, and rarer still, any day, for a mathematician.

Llull was born on Majorca, an island off the coast of Spain, so wanted to convert his people under the dominion of the Muslims in Spain. Now in those days the Arabs of Spain and North Africa were hardly the grimy camel drivers we see killing people in Syria, Iraq and Libya.  This period was probably the height of Muslim arts, architecture and scholarship. Their philosophers matched the best in the West and Byzantium; great minds such as Averroes, Avicenna, and Ibn Khaldun. (I studied these men in college, so know how to spell their names.) Llull knew he could not simply march up to people like that and begin pointing to Christian scripture (called “Bible-thumping” today) knowing that these people had their own holy books. Instead, he engaged in a process called “disputation”, which for those of you who’ve followed Plato, Socrates and Aristotle, was a form of argument, involving step-by-step logic, thrust and parry, and which carried the argument to a certain conclusion. If you’ve followed the arguments of Richard Dawkins, the anti-Christian animal behaviorist and William Lane Craig, the defender of Creationism, or the more entertaining Dinesh D’Souza-Christopher Hitchens debates on the subject of atheism versus religion (you can find these on YouTube, and are well worth the 45-minutes of your time), you’ll get some idea how the “disputation” style of argument works. No matter which side you’re on, it’s very edifying for it leads up to a point, if the cards are played well, where one side simply cannot answer one final logical question. Thus is was with Richard Dawkins, who has refused to debate Craig any longer, since Craig posed just that sort of question.

Sadly, this happened to Llull as well, in Tunisia, where he’d forgotten all about the home field advantage, and the Muslims stoned him to death[…]

20 Year Olds in Iran keep a Freedom Torch Alive Thought Extinguished 40 Years Ago

Unified Patriots by Vassar Bushmills

20 year-old Iranians are taking to the streets demanding a return of freedoms that were taken away almost 40 years ago, long before they were born.

How did they know? Who told them?

Meanwhile, many of America’s best and brightest, and most affluent 21-year-olds have been taking to the streets to demand those same freedoms be suppressed for all but the most elite of Americans.

Who told them? And why are they getting away with it?

Alexandr Solzhenitsyn reported in The Gulag Archipelago that not only was it a crime to speak against Stalin’s state, but a crime to overhear it and not report it. The punishments were equal in severity. It was the same under the Nazis in Germany, both patrolled by a secret police apparatus that seemed to be everywhere.

So in Iran, “totalitarian” is the better description than Nazism, Communism or Theocracy[…]

Cliven Bundy’s trial is set to begin on June 5, 2017. Mr. Bundy needs our support in addition to the fact that our government needs to be reined in.

Oath Keepers by Paula Hart

Here is why every American citizen should care about the Federal case against Cliven Bundy, et al.  Whether you believe it or not, this case DOES affect you.

The government wants you to believe that this whole case is about Cliven refusing to pay his grazing fees. It wants you to believe that the Bundy’s are anti-government . It wants you to believe that they are a bunch of crazies that keep picking fights with the Government for no reason. It now wants you to believe that they are domestic terrorists simply because they had the courage to stand up to the Government.

What the Government does NOT want you to know is that EVERYTHING the Bundy’s have done is protected by the Constitution. They broke NO Constitutional Laws.

The Bundy’s believe that the Constitution always has been the Supreme Law of the Land, which it is, no matter what the Government tries to tell us now. The Bundy’s do believe in the need of a Federal Government, but the kind that our Founding Father’s established; a LIMITED government of the People, by the People, and for the People. Not the government we have today, where the People have no rights and no say[….]

War-Gaming Part V, How Citizens Can Fight Back When the Left Goes Rogue

EDITOR’S NOTE:
Continuing where he left off, below is Part V of Vassar Bushmills’ War Gaming essay series. See bottom of post for links to Parts I – IV.

Unified Patriots by Vassarbushmills

I had intended to do a section on the Left’s War-Gaming of the Academy, but have incorporated it here as that marries up well with what people can do to combat them when (not if) they cross the line from legal peaceful protest to criminal behavior.

This is already occurring.

In June, 2015, after SCOTUS’ decision legalizing same sex-marriage, I wrote here “It’s Not that Revolution May be Coming, but That it Has to Come.” (You may want to read it for historical context.)

Well, 15 months later, the Revolution came, and we won.

And it was peaceful, at least so far.

With violence in mind, you can’t fully appreciate what this victory means in terms of removing a whole battery of authoritarian options from the Left, as part of a worldwide arrangement they believed they would seal in November.

For one, as we continue to pinch ourselves just to be reminded, we’re now up on the horses and they’re down there, afoot. Therefore their police and para-military will not be able to ride us down and shuttle us into corrals as originally mapped out. They still may be able to snoop on us, but no longer under the color of law. Nor will there be any midnight Elian Gonzalez-style raids with SWAT teams.

This isn’t a done deal, though. We could still lose. But by the numbers, we should win going away.

So I really like our chances, if we continue to play our cards right.

You see, the role of the stay-at-home citizen isn’t done. Not by a damned sight. In fact, it’s only beginning, for while we can begin to use government to bottle up the more criminal aspects of the Left’s resistance, there is much we can do at the grass roots to blight their path, hastening the day they will give up their criminal ways and go back to sucking their thumbs.

First, keep the faith, by letting the President know you haven’t abandoned him. And let your elected representatives know you demand no less loyalty from them. Trust me, most Republicans still think this is just a political game, even as it ratchets up in violence. Most of them still don’t get it[…]

To be American: American Exceptionalism and Assimilation

American Exceptionalism, assimilation, Free Market, Liberty, rule of law

1930’s STEEL WORKERS

Unified Patriots by VassarBushmills

I think there is a general misconception of just what assimilation means to the ideal of “to be American”.

To understand American exceptionalism you must first realize that it was created by the American  people, not scholars, nor political theoreticians. It is a product of common sense as applied by the American people, any of them, all of them, individually and collectively, as to what people naturally do when they see “opportunity” and a map has been laid out that will lead them there.

Americans, once shown, took to the opportunity like ducks to water. Actually anyone would given the chance. And America has proven this too….that no matter how poor, backward, or the skin color, people can achieve anything if they’ll just sign onto the basic rules. The process is easy to understand, but the work is hard. It usually takes three generations to learn the basics from the time one’s ancestors first get off the boat, but can be accomplished in as few as one-and-a-half for the quick learner.

From the earliest times in America, it was understood that if people behaved in certain ways, the vast majority of the people could reach a measure of success in being able to pursue any opportunity that lay before them. That map had been drawn and proved for many years before it was finally engraved into law as the Constitution of the United States. To succeed the people had only to learn to play by certain rules, to be polite with their neighbors, and keep Old World hatreds indoors.

By definition, this formula had to be fairly simple, as the trail was blazed by ordinary men and women for the use of other ordinary men and women. The three cornerstones of this new social arrangement were 1) sets of laws which applied to everyone equally, the Rule of Law, and another 2) was  a marketplace in which people could engage freely, the Free Market, principally in buying and selling (trade) but later in the production of goods, and even later the selling of services. The final leg, being largely a religious people, 3) was the belief that the rights we enjoyed were Natural Rights endowed by a Higher Authority, so that no man-made laws could come between the people and those rights. If you’ll recall the founding Federalists (Madison and Hamilton) thought these rights were so universally accepted they didn’t need to be written down, while others, the founding anti-Federalists (Patrick Henry, Sam Adams, George Mason) thought they should write it down. So the Bill of Rights were tacked onto the Constitution to seal the deal, the most important 1436 words of fine print ever tacked onto a contract ever written by Man[…]
