Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) policy director, Dan Riffle, tweeted support on Tuesday for Sen. Kamala Harris’ (D-CA) proposals to eliminate the private health insurance industry in America, which would cost 1.5 million American workers their jobs.

“Yes, we’re going to get rid of the entire health insurance industry. That’s a feature, not a bug,” Riffle tweeted, linking to a video of Harris saying just that during a CNN town hall on Monday.

In 2017, 1.5 million Americans were employed by the healthcare industry.

Cortez, or AOC as she likes to call herself, has already made it clear that she wants to natonalize the energy industry.

The hardcore leftist also wants the government to confiscate other peoples’ money, especially if they make over an amount she deems to be too much. Apparently, she has never considered the fact that these successful people will be less productive rather than give it to the AOC government of the United States of Venezuela.

Kamala Harris Says that Christine Blasey Ford Should Not Be Bullied’ into Testifying

Marxist loon, Senator Kamala Harris is trying to eliminate Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s right to due process.

Harris, in an attempt to derail Judge Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation vote says that Christine Blasey Ford who has accused Judge Kavanaugh of attempted sexual assault in spite of the fact that she can’t remember the date, year, location, etc. surrounding the alleged assault should not be forced, correction bullied into testifying.

In other words, Judge Kavanaugh who is by law, innocent until proven guilty, because he is a (white) male.  Therefore, he has no right to due process since allegations of a sexual assault purported to have occurred thirty-six years ago, details of which continues to evolve are levied by a woman who is a Democratic operative must be taken as face value.

Ford is refusing to testify until after an FBI investigation.

Ford’s lawyers sent a Tuesday evening letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) indicating that Ford will not testify before an FBI investigation into her allegations. In the letter, Ford’s attorneys wrote that “a full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner, and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions….”

The Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee must not allow Communists to further delay the Kavanaugh confirmation vote.  The only voices that we here are coming from women on the left, an intended strategy to strike fear into the the men on the Committee.

Finally, since Progressives are always playing the long game, we must be mindful that if this former attorney genera/prosecutor and comrades plotting to eliminate the U. S. Constitution by 2020 are successful,  what are the odds of a precedent being set that would eliminate the accused all rights to due process going forward nationwide? (Thinking out loud.)

Secretive Liberal Donor Summit Increases Security, Changes Itinerary Following WFB’s Report

The Washington Free Beacon on Friday wrote an article on this weekend’s Democracy Alliance Fall Investment Conference Agenda in which Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, George Soros, California’s Secretary of State, Alex Padilla and Marina Ubina of Indivisible are just a few of those allegedly attending this Marxist conference entitled, “Beyond #Resistance: Reclaiming our Progressive Future.”

The Beacon also released the itinerary upon which the Democratic Alliance rushed to increase security, move around its itinerary and asked attendees not to talk to press or disclose information on the conference itself.

The agenda in the nutshell is about Communists coming together to destroy President Donald J. Trump, his agenda, the 2018 mid-term elections and 2020.

The likes of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon along with Elizbeth Warren, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, etc. all have the blood of House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise, former Congressional staffer and now lobbyist for Tyson’s Foods, Matt Mika both of whom are in critical condition and three others on their hands.

Try as they might to wash it away, the blood will forever remain on their hands.

Yesterday’s events left many of us shaken to the core, but I’m not going to say we’re surprised. There is no surprise to be found in what transpired in the shooting of Republican Congressmen playing baseball.

I’ll be writing future articles about the Democrats, society and the human condition. But tonight, via Weasel Zippers, I caught a statement by Chris Matthews of MSNBC. It was so egregious it should be addressed immediately. Matthews said on his “Hardball” show tonight:

“We don’t know what sadness was in Alexandria shooter’s life.

Mr. Matthews, we don’t care. We all have sadness and loss. We’ve all suffered in life. Millions suffered and have been suffering under Democrat RULE for decades in this country. Barack Obama worked diligently to kill the spirit of America, and almost succeeded. He did succeed in destroying decent health care at affordable prices for the majority of us.

Let me tell you about the source of the man’s angst, Chris Matthews. It’s you and your cohorts in the malignant media fomenting hate 24/7/365 days a year against conservatives, people of faith, Republicans, supporters of Donald Trump, and anyone else not in lockstep with your rabid ideology. (This behavior has been demonstrated against other GOP presidents, so it’s not just about Donald Trump, though you’ll all rush to blame him. He is just the current flavor of the month. Remember the 8 years of Bush bashing.)

The malignant media has been the vehicle and enforcer for all things Democrat for years. It also makes Chris Matthews and the rest of the alphabet #FAKENEWS suppliers complicit in the events that unfolded yesterday[…]

How the politics of the next nomination will play out

This post substantially revises and supersedes my earlier one on how the political parties will likely approach the Scalia vacancy, in which I had concluded that Ninth Circuit Judge Paul Watford was the most likely nominee.  On reflection, I think that Attorney General Loretta Lynch is more likely.  I also think that the Republicans will eventually permit the nomination to proceed on the merits and reject it on party lines.

In thinking about how to respond to the vacancy on the Supreme Court, the administration has two priorities.  First, fill the Scalia seat by getting a nominee confirmed.  The stakes could not be higher:  the appointment could flip the Supreme Court’s ideological balance for decades.  Second, gain as much political benefit as possible and exact as heavy a political toll as possible on Republicans, particularly in the presidential election.  Precisely because of the seat’s importance, this is the rare time that a material number of voters may seriously think about the Court in deciding whether to vote at all and who to vote for.

Those priorities reinforce each other.  The Republican Senate leadership has staked out the position that no nomination by President Obama will move forward.  Because Republicans hold the Senate majority, they have the power to refuse to hold confirmation hearings before the Judiciary Committee and/or a floor vote on the nominee.  So, any effort to replace Scalia is dead on arrival unless the political dynamic in the country forces Republicans to change their minds and allow the nomination to proceed.

Not surprisingly, Republican priorities are the exact opposite.  Fundamental conservative legal victories over the past two decades hang directly in the balance.  To take just one example, Ted Cruz is exactly right to say that a more liberal replacement for Justice Scalia is very likely to overturn the Supreme Court’s recent recognition of a Second Amendment right to possess firearms or at least render it a nullity as a practical matter.  There are dozens of other examples.  Conversely, a Republican appointee would not only preserve those victories but continue the Court’s steady move to the right.

In addition, blocking President Obama’s nominee is good politics for important subsets of Republicans.  Most directly, the Supreme Court is a signal issue for the conservative Republican base in a way that it is not for core Democratic constituencies.  Since at least Richard Nixon, conservatives have effectively rallied against the Supreme Court as a liberal institution that is out of control.  We see that dynamic today in Republican candidates’ remarkable attempt to frame even Chief Justice Roberts as a failure, based on his votes to uphold the Affordable Care Act and the administration’s implementation of the Act.

Those competing priorities put the political parties in a deadly embrace from which neither will easily budge.  The administration feels a constitutional responsibility to press for the confirmation of a nominee and every political advantage in doing so.  Republicans cannot accede to that effort because their base will not permit it.

In all of this, it is impossible to overstate the importance of Ted Cruz, who will make the appointment a central issue in the campaign and who will drive enormous pressure against proceeding with any nomination.  That pressure is likely to be too great for the Republican Senate leadership to overcome, even if it concludes that it would be better politics to do so….

Attorney General Kamala Harris is investigating the wrong organization.

The recent undercover videos of top Planned Parenthood executives discussing how to position and kill unborn babies in order to preserve the marketability of their body parts offer the sort of shocking revelations that typically spur California government officials to action. One might have expected state authorities to examine the substance of the issues raised by the Center for Medical Progress, the group of citizen-journalists who made the videos. Instead, California officials have rallied to Planned Parenthood’s defense.

Democratic legislators blocked a Republican proposal to audit Planned Parenthood’s California operations, which receive more than $200 million a year in reimbursements from Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid program…..
