California judge, William H. Orrick (Obama nominee) today issued an order temporarily blocking President Trump from withholding funding to sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with immigration officials.

According to Justice Department attorney Chad Readler, the decision applied to a limited set of grants. He said less than $1 million was at stake nationally, and possibly no San Francisco funding….

AG, Jeff Sessions, issued the following statement following a meeting earlier today with representatives from the U. S. Conference of Mayors.

Department of Justice, Office of Public Affairs

Statement by Attorney General Jeff Sessions Following Meeting with Representatives from the U.S. Conference of Mayors

Today, Attorney General Sessions issued the following statement following his meeting with representatives from the U.S. Conference of Mayors:

“The Department of Justice will fulfill our responsibility to uphold and enforce our nation’s immigration laws, including 8 U.S.C. 1373. Under the Obama administration, the Department of Justice required certain grantees to certify compliance with federal law, including 8 U.S.C. 1373, as a condition for receiving grant funding. Last year, the Department of Justice’s Inspector General reported that 10 jurisdictions were potentially in violation of 8 U.S.C. 1373, including because they had policies that restricted local law enforcement from sharing information about criminal aliens in their custody.

“My letter has required those jurisdictions to submit a response by June 30 certifying they are in compliance. To date, only one has replied and we await the responses of the others. We will evaluate those responses to ensure the requirements of these grants are met. I once again urge these cities and jurisdictions to reevaluate their policies, protect their citizens and comply with the law.

“We are pleased that the mayors who met with us today assured us they want to be in compliance with the law. The vast majority of state and local jurisdictions are in compliance and want to work with federal law enforcement to keep their communities safe. Of course, compliance with 8 U.S.C. 1373 is the minimum the American people should expect. We want all jurisdictions to enthusiastically support the laws of the United States that require the removal of criminal aliens, as many jurisdictions already do.”

You can view the order in its entirety in the cloud here or in pdf format here.

Does President not have a right to execute federal law? This is pure made up law. Judaical activism needs to end#sanctuarycities #Trump

There is no excuse for not making sanctuary cities the issue in the budget. Let dems shut down gov’t over sanctuary cities.

— Daniel Horowitz (@RMConservative) April 25, 2017

Call it by its name. This is yet another case of judicial tyranny from the bench.

The Kentucky judge who last week ordered the imprisonment of Kentucky County Clerk, Kim Davis, for refusing to issue gay marriage licenses has just ordered that Davis be released.

Pursuant to Kentucky U. S. District Judge David Bunning order, Davis must not interfere in any shape form or fashion, “directly or indirectly” with the issuance by her clerks of marriage licenses for all “legally eligible couples.”

TheBlaze by Bill Hallowell

‘Defendent Davis shall be released from the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith,’ read an order from U.S. District Judge David Bunning, according to BuzzFeed. ‘Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples….’

Continue

Bunning has also banned Davis from doing television interviews. (What is this with the left and banning interviews with the media?)

As for the marriage licenses, as noted in Bunning’s order, they have been altered “so that ‘Rowan County’ rather than ‘Kim Davis; appears on the line reserved for the name of the county clerk, Plaintiffs have not alleged that the alterations affect the validity of the licenses. Nor do the alterations impact the Court’s finding that the deputy clerks have complied with the Court’s Order.”

The events continue to unfold surrounding Davis’ release. Republican Party 2016 presidential primary candidates, Senator Ted Cruz and former Governor Mike Huckabee are with Davis.

Im with Kim Rally in front of Kentuck Courthouse 09082015 002

Attendees of this afternoon’s #ImWithKim rally are patiently awaiting Davis’ release outside the courthouse.  (You can view the judge’s order at the bottom of this post and the rally it live stream here).

Progressives, especially the LGBT Gestapo is livid. Claiming that Davis escaped her punishment and accusing Bunning of folding, they are about to blow a gasket on Twitter.

Election 2016: Republican primary candidate Mike Huckabee

This past Sunday Mike Huckabee appeared on ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos.  Stephanopoulos through the entire interview grilled Huckabee over the former governor’s stance on the incarceration of Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis.

Huckabee went head to head Stephanopoulos on judicial tyranny and the importance of checks and balances at the federal level and as far as Obergefell v. Hodges becoming the law of the land, Huckabee stated, “When the courts have a ruling then it is incumbent upon Congress to codify that into law.”

Typical of Progressives, stupidity reigns as Stephanopoulos asked Huckabee if he would have supported a county clerk standing up in opposition to the landmark Supreme Court case, Loving v. Virginia (1967):

“The Court rejected the state’s argument that the statute was legitimate because it applied equally to both blacks and whites and found that racial classifications were not subject to a “rational purpose” test under the Fourteenth Amendment. The Court also held that the Virginia law violated the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. “Under our Constitution,” wrote Chief Justice Earl Warren, “the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the State.”

SIDEBAR

This is yet another example of Progressives co-opting the past to shove their agenda down the throats of Americans.  Gay marriage has absolutely no relative connection to inter-racial marriage, i.e., Loving v. Virginia (1967) or any other stepping-stone in the Civil Rights era.

END OF SIDEBAR.  RANT OVER.

Stephanopoulos could not cite a statute to back up his argument, the schmuck. Probably got his talking points from the Clintons and Media Matters.

Former Governor Huckabee has established the following petition on his website.

I’m holding an “#ImWithKim Liberty Rally” on Tuesday, September 8th at the Carter County Detention Center in Grayson, Kentucky at 3:00 PM ET (local time).

Dear President Obama, Attorney General Lynch, & Judge Bunning:

Immediately release Kim Davis from federal custody. Exercising Religious Liberty should never be a crime in America. This is a direct attack on our God-given, constitutional rights.

If interested, you can sign the petition calling for the release of Kim Davis here.

Tues., Sept. 8, 2015
EVENT: #ImWithKim Liberty Rally with Gov. Mike Huckabee and Mat Staver
TIME: 3 p.m. ET
LOCATION: Carter County Detention Center
ADDRESS: 13 Crossbar Rd, Grayson, KY
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Immediately following rally

Christopher Ciccone, famously known as Madonna’s “Gay” brother posted a statement on his Facebook page Friday night chiding the LGBT Gestapo’s [my emphasis] handling and response to Kentucky County clerk, Kim Davis’ refusal to issue gay marriage licenses.

Ciccone began his commentary by pointing out, the double standard that would have obviously applied if Davis, a Christian was instead a Muslim woman wearing a burqa and had refused to issue gay marriage licenses.

In addition, Ciccone not mincing any words addressed judicial tyranny and the “selective shaming and bullying” of the LGBT Gestapo and Marxists thus sparking outrage amongst his peers.

“The county clerk in Kentucy deserves about as much support as you would give her if she were a muslim women who insisted on covering her face and refused not only gay marriages licenses, but divorce, accusations of rape and driving a car without ur mans approval…..perspective is everything…..this woman is a civil servant, she is required to follow federal law…..but why should she….when DOJ and other civil authories don’t follow federal law when they choose not to…..i.e. Washington State and Colorado (POT) come to mind…or the abstract notion of “sanctuary cities”…..i always thought that sanctuary was the province of churches…….these things aside….this is why we have elections…..if the folks of this county in Kentucy don’t want her as the county clerk….then don’t have to vote for her…..that is how a democracy works….not to mention the courts….in the mean time…..since when are we the arbiter of other peoples faith?…….can you honestly say that you know how much a person is allowed to have??..if i’m not mistaken, it’s in the constitution…..something about religious freedom or something……selective shaming and bullying corrupts a democracy….freedom of press, speech and religion give it strength. Not to mention reason and the god given compassion we as humans have a right and responsibility to practice. Once again, the gay community feels the need to be sore winners. Is it so difficult to allow this women her religion?…or must we destroy her in order for here to betray her faith. No matter how we judge its truth. The rights we have all fought for, mean nothing, if we deny her hers.”

You can view the above post and the comments below first hand on Ciccone’s Facebook page here.
