~ “I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.” Ronald Reagan.
News alert to Bernie Sanders’ supporters: Venezuela’s Communist utopia is doing so well that its soldiers have resorted to stealing goats to feed themselves.
The situation in Venezuela has become so bad that even soldiers are struggling to support themselves.
Over the weekend, six members of the Venezuelan military were detained by local authorities for stealing goats, the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional reported Sunday. It said the soldiers confessed to stealing the goats and said they did it to feed themselves, since they had no food left in their barracks.
“It’s not a good sign when your military doesn’t have enough food, and when the military has been relegated to guarding and protecting food lines,” said Jason Marczak, director of the Latin America Economic Growth Initiative at the Atlantic Council. “This is endemic of the problems going on across the country.”
Venezuela has been hard hit by food shortages, a dizzying inflation rate of about 181 percent and a collapse in the price of oil — its most critical export[…]
Sounds like a grand idea to me. While Obama lies, lays blame and points the finger at everyone but Obama for the increasing price of gas, let us do our duty as Americans and set the record straight.
In so doing, we will be enlightening millions of Americans who are suffering at the gas pump. While they are re-filling their gas tanks, let us remind them that the disastrous price increases of gas were all apart of Barack Obama’s agenda.
Please read the following post and then print out one or two dozen copies of the notice at the bottom of the post. Spread the wealth truth. Expose the liar. Even the walking dead is bound to wake up by the time the price of gas is $7 or $8 a gallon.
Do you have to take these gas prices in silence? I don’t think so. All you have to do is download this pdf, print out a few copies and put them, along with a roll of Scotch tape, into your car. The next time you fill up, instead of watching in horror as the dollar amount on the pump races by as the gallons trickle into your tank, afix one of these to the pump. Take care to not cover vital information regarding safety, etc. and don’t cover any adv … Read More
Regardless of how one feels about Glenn Beck, there is no denying that he has hit the nail on the head more times than not.
Obama and administration are trampling upon our liberties, enforcing a police state, collapsing our economy, eliminating jobs, engaging in fuzzy math (still), raiding small farms and destroying small businesses. Their goal is to control every part of our lives regulating everything we do, eat, how we live down to what to think. See Obama’s executive order to mandate the behavior of Americans.
Socialism is a proven failure and as such under a socialist regime, the people suffer. As we fight to maintain our liberties and way of life, it makes perfect sense to prepare for the worst.
“We’ve been warning for quite some time about the possibility of civil unrest resulting from a number of scenarios, including food riots and economic meltdown.
As our astute readers already know, the government has been training and planning for the implementation of martial law[1] for years, in addition to planning for emergency scenarios that include not just natural disasters, but economic collapse[2]. Americans who are ‘in the know’ about these developments have begun taking action in droves to prepare for the possibility of things like a hyperinflationary collapse of the US dollar and events like political and social breakdown of the world as we have come to know it. Can one argue that if the government is preparing and regionalizing supplies[3] that each individual and family shouldn’t be doing the same?
Glenn Beck recently summarized our many reports on these developments, warning that food riots and civil unrest are a distinct possibility as the economy continues to breakdown during what many are calling the ‘greatest depression.’ A strong police and military response – perhaps even martial law – should be expected if events play out in the U.S. the way they have in Europe thus far.
Translation: Our Progressive over-reaching government is the problem not the solution. Wake up sheeple!
The Senate just voted to invoke cloture on S. 510 aka the Food Safety Modernization Act. The vote 74-25 sets the road for the debate to begin.
Here we are facing yet another monstrous piece of legislation that Americans will have to demand be repealed.
The American government is determined to put small farmers out of business while enabling large corporations, which will, of course, send food prices skyrocketing while diminishing our choices. Such a move includes backyard gardens.
The purpose of S. 510 aka the Food Safety Modernization Act is to regulate, control and enforce through license revocations, licensing requirements, control over the process and harvesting of produce and vegetables, fines and penalties included, i.e., red tape and legislation galore.
Its passage makes it illegal for individuals to grow fruits, vegetables, and other foods on their own property. The government has already stepped up its agenda by fining, harassment of small farmers even arresting some.
Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss of Georgia are among the co-sponsors of S. 510 introduced March 3, 2009 even though Chambliss this morning voted against cloture.
In short, S. 510 is a direct assault on the liberty and freedom of Americans to do that which we have done for centuries, grow fruit, herbs and vegetables on our own property, in our own backyards, terraces and apartment window sills.
Like everything else in the Obama administration, S. 510 is about power, control and the new world order.
We will, of course, have to lean hard on politicians both Democratic and Republican since both parties are in the pockets of those who stand to benefit from the passage of S. 510.
