The following video is footage of a 2014 exchange between Lateline-Australia’s Emma Alberici and Wassim Doureihi, a radical Muslim who while he did not mind being a guest on Alberici’s program was quite dismissive refusing to answer any of the questions asked.
It was not long before the discussion grew heated between the Lateline host and Doureihi, spokesman for the Islamic terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Doureihi delivers one message through the whole exchange without saying it outright, Islam is a threat to Western civilization.
According to Jihadwatch.org ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international Islamic organization that openly calls for restoration of the caliphate — that is, the political union of Muslims worldwide in a single Sharia state ruled by the caliph. This means that the group is dedicated to subverting and destroying all governments not ruled by Islamic law, and as such it is banned in many countries. But not in the U.S., which has never shown any awareness on an official level of non-violent efforts to impose Sharia.’

I am shocked that our government does not see Hizb ut-Tahrir as a terrorist organization. How can that be? These bastards should not be on American soil.

“There is no need to overstate the potential threat a group like HTA poses in the United States by shrieking ‘al-Qaeda.’ It does not need to be al-Qaeda to be dangerous.
HTA aspires to the same end goal as al-Qaeda; to establish an Islamic state with a military that will ultimately ‘carry’ the Islamic system of government to the world. According to HTA’s literature ‘Khilafah is the absolute leadership of Muslims everywhere.’ The major difference between al-Qaeda and HT is that HT’s method is political, and does not include violence to achieve its immediate goals. However, HT radicalizes people, and causes them to hate America, democratic systems, and laws that protect public safety and civil freedom. It wishes to drive a rift between Muslims and everyone else; to realize ‘the strategy of Islam: enhance the physical might of Muslims, weaken that of non-Muslims, strengthen morale for sacrifice among Muslims, and develop the zeal to change reality not to yield to it.’
In response to the recent stories in the U.S. media about HTA’s Khilfah conference, HT issued a press release, titled, ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir Refutes Extremism Charges In An Interview With CBS News Before Its Upcoming Conference.’ Historically, HT attempts to modify its position and its tactics in order to portray itself as benign. However, all branches of HT worldwide adhere to the same ideology, as presented by the group’s founder Taqiudin al-Nabhani in 1952. The press release issued by HT on July 18th quotes the conference spokesperson as saying that the group does not think capitalism will fall. Rather, he believes that this conference will cause Americans to embrace the Islamic economic system as an alternative to a system that is crumbling, as shown by the recent financial crisis. In fact, HT is not exclusively concerned with the implementation of an Islamic economic system. It is using the current economic crisis as an entree into a public dialogue to promote its ideology. Its system includes recruitment in the military, and the final stage includes the installation of an Islamic government that includes an Amir of Jihad.
HT’s press release also claims that HT is not a ‘card-carrying organization.’ Rather, it is ‘an intellectual organization, so anybody who carries the ideas is a member.’ Again, the truth has been distorted. In fact, the process to become a member of HT is described clearly in its literature, and it involves years of study, which culminates in a pledge of unwavering loyalty to the organization.”
One cannot help but wonder exactly where the United States is going with a President and administration who would shut down tea parties, censor and suppress the voice of the American people as opposed to giving terrorist groups that would dismantle and bring the United States down in a New York minute free reign to gather, meet, greet and indoctrinate.

A jihadist terrorist group devoted to establishing an international Islamic empire and allegedly linked to Al Qaeda is holding its first official conference in the United States.
The theme for this weekend’s conference is the “Fall of Capitalism and Rise of Islam” (http://www.khilafahconference2009.com) and will take place Sunday, July 19th at the Chicago Hilton.
The goal of Hizb ut-Tahrif is to recruit American Muslims into the terrorist organization, of which September 11th mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad is an alumni.
“Hizb ut-Tahrir, an international movement seeking to re-establish an international Islamic state and indoctrinate Muslims into supporting jihad, wants to step up its recruitment efforts in the U.S. On July 19, the group, whose alumni include 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, will hold a conference entitled “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam” in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel in Oak Lawn, reports Investigative Project. This YouTube circulated by the group at its website confirms the Khilafah Conference 2009 date. Oak Lawn and Bridgeview host one of the nation’s largest mosques.”
“Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global organization with branches in several countries, including the U.K. Its pronounced goals include the establishment of an Islamic state, or caliphate, governed by Islamic law. The group claims however that branches operating in Western countries do not ‘work to change the system of government, but to project a positive image of Islam to Western society.’
CBS News’ national security advisor Juan Carlos Zatare still believes the group’s activities are a cause for concern. He describes the global Hizb ut-Tahrir as ‘an extremist group that has served as a platform not just for dissemination of extremist ideology, but also as a platform for individuals to engage in terrorist activities.’
Zatare does not have information about the group’s U.S. branch, but is familiar with Hizb ut-Tahrir in the U.K. and globally. ‘There have been so many problems about its membership as well as activities in the U.K. that I would suggest that a group forming in the U.S. is extremely worrisome,’ he notes.”
While Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it does not engage in terrorism and is not recognized as a known terror group by the State Department, some terrorism experts say this group may be even more dangerous than groups on the terror list.
“Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the oldest, largest indoctrinating organizations for the ideology known as jihadism,’ Walid Phares, director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com.
Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire — or ‘khilafah’ — that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad.”
