Being a ‘nationalist’ is neither racist or wrong

Calling oneself a nationalist does not make one a racist or a white supremacist.

The Communist media complex and comrades are attacking President Donald J. Trump for acknowledging that he is proud and unapologetically American.

President Trump called out globalists, spat in the face of political correctness triggering the easily trolled by referring to himself as a “Nationalist.”

“You know what a globalist is? A globalist is a person who wants the globe to do well, frankly, not caring about our country so much, and you know what, we can’t have that.

You know they have a word, it sort of became old-fashioned..It’s called a “nationalist” and I said really…we’re not supposed to use that word. You know what I am? I’m a nationalist, okay? I’m a nationalist.”

A “nationalist” is one who puts the interests of his or her country first. A “nationalist” believes in the sovereignty of his or her nation.

It is no surprise that easily triggered anti-Trump, anti-America propagandists financially invested in the global world order flipped out….

beginning with that schmuck, Jim Acosta who decided that he would challenge the President on what Progressives perceive as a dog whistle.

How on earth is accepting one’s nationalism racist? The President made short work of Acosta, discussion of which continued at 04:53 of the following video.

So much for that.

As if eight years of Barack Obama’s apology/appeasement/anti-American tour wasn’t enough, the Communist plantation dispatched its Soros-funded house slaves to attack the President.  These house slaves using the race card lied and declared the term “nationalist” (“nationalism”) the new “n” word.

Queen Don Lemon, is the typical useful idiot who advocates for an ideology that has historically oppressed, tortured and murdered not just gays and people of various ethnicities but all voices of opposition.

Nationalism IS NOT a Bad Word.

Let us not forget the president of the NAACP, North Carolina chapter, Rev. William J. Barber II who is vehemently anti-Trump, anti-American, a Progressive and gatekeeper of the Communist plantation and his globalist masters.

Of course, funding from Soros’ Open Society helps. Soros funds the NAACP nationally.

Barber, a Black theologian, according to Huffington Post stated that “Nationalism suggests a commitment to one country to a fault…Patriotism is a love for country that is willing to call it to question and challenge its flaws.”

Pushing white privilege, anti-Trump propaganda which at times didn’t go so well, the NAACP has rejected Nationalism for a higher pay day.

NAACP Embraces Globalist World Order Masters

We should be mindful that the NAACP decades was absent from Black communities across the United States for decades only to surface in time for Barack Obama’s 2008 victory.

Two words come to mind, i.e., CASHING IN.

A look at their website puts their priorities on display and it is not the concern of Black Americans.  It is social justice and the global world order. Their puppet master or man hiding behind the curtain, if you prefer in spite of their anti-white rhetoric is a globalist which brings three other words to mind, i.e., BOUGHT AND PAID FOR.

That is NOT patriotism.  Patriotism cannot be bought.  George Soris is not a patriot.  Furthermore, Soros is a globalist.  He has wet dreams of becoming king of the New World Order. Convinced that he is just that close, he can taste it which explains Soro’s case of TDS.

As most of you know, I live in New York City, a sanctuary city with somewhere around 10 million illegal aliens, maybe more (emphasis on “more.”).

It is business as usual to see people waving their national flags and/or wearing emblems, head wraps with the colors of their national flags.

Absent far too often from the scene is the Star Spangled Banner, i.e., the red, white and blue.

Having made my views known, I am not challenged as I imagine others may be but yes, “American” nationalism deserves to be front and center; and anyone who opposes, challenged.

Below is an op-ed in USA Today written by James Robinson.  I do not agree with everything he says but the opinion columnist gets it.

…Appeals to the inherent goodness and manifest greatness of America used to be a staple of political oratory. It was so commonplace that it was entirely noncontroversial. Love of country was taken for granted.

But when President Donald Trump described himself as a “nationalist” at a rally in Texas, it set off a firestorm of criticism. Nationalism is now the new “n-word.” CNN’s Jim Acosta pathetically insinuated the president was making a secret appeal to racism. MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace invoked her History Channel-based education to tie in Nazi appeals to German nationalism, while perhaps being unaware that the Nazis also were ardent socialists. Maybe she missed that program.

…

We need a national narrative we can believe in

President Trump’s patriotic appeals are controversial only  because hating America has become so deeply embedded in progressive thinking. But if our nation is to survive, it must have a national narrative that seeks not to blame but to inspire, not to divide but unite, not to demean but uplift.

Speaking for myself…

I am an American, a wife, mother, grandmother and proud yes, a Nationalist, brown skin and all. Why? Because I love this nation which has been blessed by God, warts and all.  All Americans are privileged as we are all blessed by God.  We are blessed to live in America.

There is nothing fascist or racist about rejecting the New World Order. Oh yes, it does exist better known as the globalist world order aka globalism which entails the confiscation of America’s wealth while usurping American sovereignty.

Not on my watch and thankfully, not on President Trump’s watch either.

Forum: Are China And The US Headed For War?

Every Monday, the WoW! community and our invited guests weigh in at the Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week’s question
: Are China And The US Headed For War?

Jeffrey Avalon Friedberg: War?

No.

One thing China is not: is stupid.

China can do much better on its Long March by simply stripping Earth away from the Americans, one sliver at a time, piece by piece, bit by bit.

They can do this in terms of physically taking things, such as our technology, American real estate, or by extending influence, as in Latin America, and actually being welcomed in.

Then, one day, poof! They are the majority—at a pinnacle of the majors—and are in control.

In this non-nuclear manner they can preserve a lot of real estate and personnel. I mean—none of the Chinese leaders want to live underground or in a nuclear cook-oven, am I right?

Right.

In the interim—there’s no rush. And it’s just a game. When the time comes, they can win. And nobody—like maybe the Rooskies—will be able to step in and take over the hand they are playing.

In a nuclear war with the USA they will be degraded militarily, financially, and morally, to a point where they will probably be overthrown by a sea of people who just want to eat….

…And who want to have some fun in life and living.

Rob Miller: To answer this question properly, it’s helpful to know something about Chinese history and culture.

China has always been more concerned with keeping the quong fai (foreign devils) out then in expanding it’s own territory. That’s what the Great Wall was all about. Like Japan, China essentially was a closed society for centuries.

In the 1400s, China had the greatest seagoing fleet in the world, up to 3,500 ships at its peak.  Some of them were five times the size of the ships being built in Europe at the time. But by 1525, all of China’s “Treasure Fleet” ships had been destroyed — burned in their docks or left to rot by the government as the Ming Dynasty entered a 200-year-long period of isolationist slumber.

That ended with the Opium wars of the mid-nineteenth century, referred to quite accurately by the Chinese as ‘the years of humiliation. Essentially, the Chinese wanted the very lucrative opium trade the British enjoyed stopped. The British actually went to war in 1839 to force the Chinese to keep importing this poison, and ended up with China ceding the Hong Kong island to Britain as well as ‘treaty ports’ at Shanghai, Canton, Ningpo (Ningbo), Foochow (Fuzhou), and Amoy. France secured concessions on the same terms as the British, in treaties of 1843 and 1844.

The second Opium War, fought from 1856–1860 actually increased the concessions to Britain and other European countries as well as the amount of the trade in opium. Russia also seized Chinese territory. And the hideous invasion of China by Japan was a major disaster. Aside from the loss of territory, the Japanese committed major atrocities. An untold number of Chinese civilians were literally murdered, whole cities were destroyed, thousands of Chinese young women (as well as Koreans and Filipinas) were kidnapped and forced into prostitution as ‘comfort girls’ for the Japanese military, and bizarre ‘experiments’ on human beings were conducted, especially in Manchuria (Manchuko).

My point here is that all this emphasized something to the Chinese…that foreigners were not to be trusted, and neither were China’s corrupt governments. Most Americans underestimate the enormous achievement of Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger in overcoming all this history and opening up China again.

I’ve been fascinated with Chinese culture for quite some time. In fact, I almost married a delightful Chinese girl who lived in Queens, the only woman I ever seriously considered marrying until I met my beloved. Among other things I learned from my Chinese girlfriend was how to play the Chinese game of Go. Understanding Go is a key to understanding how the Chinese think.

Western tactics are based on chess, which involves ‘killing off’ your opponent’s power pieces, occupying territory on the board and surrounding the king to the point that any move the King makes results in the king’s ‘death.’

In Go, the idea is to not to occupy territory but to control access to territory, to make your opponent’s ‘soldiers’ useless. There are no power pieces per se.

That’s what the Chinese have been doing for some time, with trade agreements and lately, using a strategy of loans to both developing and developed countries like South Africa. It works like this…the Chinese loan money to these countries in exchange for trade concessions, with economically or strategically  beneficial resources as collateral. When the loans (which deliberately have terms very difficult for these countries to meet) are defaulted on, China gets control, sometimes with an additional loan as a sweetener. These are Go tactics.

Are the U.S. and China headed for war? Possible, but I doubt it.

For a quarter of a century, China enjoyed dealing with three of the worst U.S. presidents in history. The corrupt Bill Clinton, who the Chinese bought via a one million dollar loan after he lost the New Hampshire primary via his China connection, his  old friends and campaign donors the Riyadis. And then there was the Clueless George W. Bush, and the openly anti-American Barack Hussein Obama.

All of them allowed the Chinese as well as politically friendly American companies to export jobs wholesale to China while allowing cheap Chinese goods to flood the market. Both Clinton and Obama also cut back hugely on America’s military. Clinton even  used heavy Democratic party donor and defense contractor Loral to funnel advanced military technology to the Chinese as fast as he could sign the paperwork. Most military analysts estimate that the Chinese made a Great Leap Forward of at least two decades in military technology during the eight years of Clinton’s two terms.

A big part of the recent tension has to do with the fact that  the Chinese, having grown used to pushovers like this are now faces with an entirely different president in Donald J. Trump. The concept of intellectual piracy, copyrights and patents are foreign to the Chinese. They now have a president to deal with who insists on their honoring these precepts, and who is willing to use tariffs and even sanctions to change the unequal trade deals China has enjoyed for years.

What the Chinese are doing now, I think, is circling the wagons. Many of the armaments, like shore to ship missiles are designed to be defensive in nature, and it’s worth remembering that China has only engaged in wars on their borders, in places like northern India, Tibet and North Korea. Even their new island fortresses in the China Sea could reasonably be seen as defensive in nature.

I see Xi’s new role as emperor ( and I wouldn’t call it anything else) and its more recent totalitarian conduct on the home front to be troubling signs, even something of a throwback to the bad old days of the Cultural Revolution, but not necessarily signs of upcoming hostilities. China needs the American market badly, a war would gain them nothing and might even result in domestic turbulence as jobs disappear and domestic supplies of staples increase in price.

Another sign is that Chinese with money have heavily invested here in America, especially in real estate. They understand that if their money’s here, the Chinese government can’t confiscate it. Remember what I wrote earlier about the basic Chinese skeptical attitude towards their government.

Don Surber:Red China and the USA are in a trade war and have been for 20 years. The Bushes and Clinton allowed Red China to steal technology, manipulate currency, and otherwise wreak havoc with trade.

The weasels who call this free trade are traitors. Let’s look at the facts. For every $1 we sell in goods to China, we buy $4 worth of their goods. We are a thoroughbred running against a plow horse and losing because we are hobbled by environmental, labor, and other regulations.

Consider coal mining. The nation’s coal mines recorded 15 deaths last year, including eight in West Virginia.

According to Xinhua, the number of deaths in 2017 in China’s coal sector was 375.

We finally have a president who is a master of negotiating and an astute student of Sun Tzu. Scot Adams of Dilbert fame calls President Donald John Trump a wizard. Everything you know about President Trump through the media is a lie because he throws them off scent every step of the way.

The Chinese cannot fathom him. They are communists, a sheeplike people with great credentials but no intellectual curiosity. Their ideology requires a conformity that would be amusing if not for the deaths of tens of milions in the name of their religion. Muslims are nowhere near as bloody.

President Trump is an entrepreneur who thinks outside of the box. He lives to negotiate. He already has plucked the Korean Peninsula from Red China. Korea has been a protectorate of China going back 1,400 years although the Japanese held it from 1910 to 1945. (You could say World War II began before World War I.)

There is no doubt that Kim Jong Un is on our side. He is dismantling his nuke program. Compare how healthy and alert the last three hostages Kim gave us compared to the condition of Otto Warmbier. Something happened between June 2017 and May 2018 that turned Kim around. Just what, we can only guess at. Why, we know. President Trump flipped Kim, likely on a personal level as he did with Kanye West.

The answer to your question is yes, we are in a war — a trade war – and we have turned the tide. Chairman Xi should surrender now while his economy is damaged but still alive.

Iran is on deck, and Russia needs to clean up its act.

Meanwhile, the European Union wants to cut a deal. Mexico is cutting a deal. Japan and South Korea have made their deals.

While he is doing all this, President Trump also has to deal with a witch hunt, work on immigration, and get his judges and justices confirmed.

He still finds time to golf on weekends.

Doug Hagin:Very doubtful. Not anytime soon anyway. And our currently having a strong president is a large deterrent to China. Another reason 2020 is so important.

David Schuler: here’s more than one answer to that question. The first answer is that we’ve been at war with China for at least the last 20 years and maybe as long as the last 70 years. For the last several decades American companies, looking at a market of a billion prospective customers with dollars signs in their eyes, have convinced the politicians of both political parties that we’re not. You need only look at the precipitous drop in U. S. manufacturing employment after the admission of China to the WTO, pictured below:

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/fredgraph.png?g=kRPz

to recognize that as nothing short of economic warfare. Additionally, if you take the various pronouncements of Chinese officials on trade and foreign policy it is quite clear that they view them as zero-sum games, transactions with one winner and one loser.

The other answer is that we need not be headed for war with China. It would be a choice not an inevitability. If the Chinese leadership realized just how deadly war with the U. S. could be for them and everything and everybody they know, there would be no chance of war. But there are so many saber-rattlers on both sides of the relationship I think there is a genuine danger of war with China.

Laura Rambeau Lee: Yes, it appears China’s goal is to draw us into a war and we better be prepared. We are late in realizing just how great a threat China is to the west and the free world. We must secure our alliances and assure them we will be there to fight with them to oppose this existential threat. It’s not a matter of if, but when.

Well, there it is!

Global Governance — ID 2020 — Universal Digital Identity

Communism, globalism, ID 2020, Illegal Immigration, legal immigrants, National Ids, New World Order, open borders, REAL ID Act, social-justice, UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Goal 16.9, United Nations, United Nations Sustainable Development

According to the ID2020 Alliance, digital identity (cards) is a human right, “Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law” and necessary to access basic services such as “healthcare and education, vote, and access other social assistance programs.”

While in the United States, Americans have the right to vote, Progressives along with the United Nations Human Rights Council who has no legal jurisdiction over our country or its laws alleges that voter id laws are oppressive and violate the human rights of African Americans.

Hypocritical? A double standard? You betcha but wait there is more…

Even though, “if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan” and “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” are among the greatest lies ever told (my emphasis), the greatest lie ever told goes to Barack Obama mentor (one of them anyway), Karl Marx, “Proletariat of the world, unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains.”

Marx was speaking about Communism which can only be achieved by the elimination of private property, national, religious, even ethnic identities and capitalism which would eliminate inequality and suffering. The people pushing the latter often do so from their Apple devices while sipping on a cinnamon dolce macchiato from Starbucks and eating fast food, all of which are devices of capitalism.

As for the eradication of inequality and suffering through the elimination of capitalism and private property and businesses, history has proven just well Communism worked under Stalin, Mao and just to name a few, today in Cuba, South Africa and Venezuela. Another aspect of Communism is urban housing to be addressed at a later date.

Eliminating the “Bill of Rights,” ownership of private property, capitalism, national, religious and ethnic identities and replacing it with “class identity,” “collectivism” and “open borders” would open the door wider toward the Communist ruling class and elites having dominion over every aspect of our lives from to the food we eat, to our health and wallets.

Imagine utopia such a nightmare on a global scale. It must be denied; such would explain why the Communist media complex, its pundits and bureaucrats, all Marxist elites are throwing the label “nationalism” around as if one’s love of country is such a horrific act, the revelations of which have been realized by those fighting to exit the European Union.

ID2020 – Government Issued Digital IDs – Communist World Order

As states continue to shove the Real ID down the throats of its citizens under the guise that it’s for their own good (a) hackers continue to spoof these cards/biometric ids in the wallets, pockets, cellphones of the holder and by accessing vulnerable government databases.

Likewise, the United Nations appears to be on schedule as they roll out ID2020 (a) the distribution by nations of government-issued digital identity cards containing the biometrics, legal identity, birth registration, financial data, etc. belonging to the individual; and (b) a database that stores the biometrics, legal identity, birth registration, financial data, etc. belonging to every person on the planet.

Pushing for a cashless society, the implementation of ID2020 in partnership with the donor classes, and entities from UNICEF, the World Bank, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Accenture, The Rockefeller Foundation to Big Pharma and those governments advocating redistribution of wealth and fundamental transformation. (Hint, hint. Sound familiar? No? See below.)

As noted on the ID2020 Alliance website, this is not about the individual but rather how to control and have dominion over the individual by the global elites:

…By coordinating funding for identity and channeling those funds towards high-impact projects, this alliance model enables diverse stakeholders – UN agencies, NGOs, governments, and enterprises – to pursue a coordinated approach and creates a pathway for efficient implementation at scale….

Another reason to defund the UN and every entity connected to ID 2020 Alliance down to the last cent.

…For digital identity to meet the needs of governments, international organizations, businesses and individuals alike, it must be:

  • Personal: unique to you and only you
  • Persistent: lives with you from life to death
  • Portable: accessible anywhere you happen to be
  • Private: only you can give permission to use or view data

To meet these criteria, an approach based on open standards and open API is critical, facilitating vendor neutrality, ensuring there’s room for continued innovation, and allowing an ecosystem to develop around a framework for technical interoperability. No government, country or organization can solve this challenge alone….

Cutting the Core of Globalists Newspeak

It’s all about control.

The intent of a “universal digital identity,” is to, and if successful will, control every aspect of our lives. It must supersede national identity and sovereignty, most importantly that of Americans in order for the New World Order to achieve its goals thus explaining eight years of Barack Obama’s endless regurgitation of “I am a citizen of the world,” “that’s not who we are” while repeatedly appeasing America’s enemies and expressing his disdain for our nation.

It is interesting to note that only Americans and Europeans are accused of “nationalism” while other nations (dog whistle for non-white) nations are not.

Left out of the discussion is that Americans of every ethnicity and legal immigrants in the USA express their patriotism and love for our country. The sames goes across the pond in Europe where many express their patriotism and love of their countries but that’s “racist” “anti-Islamic” “xenophobic” “not who we are”?

As living in a sanctuary city affords me a front row seat, I have during discussions with or simply observed people from other countries expressing love and pride of their homeland which is NEVER called into question. Yet, in this same sanctuary city, expressing one’s love of country as an American with the exception of September 11, 2001, is shocking to stupid Americans, frowned upon, mocked by many and held in disdain.

My cab driver who jokingly (or so he pretends) states from time to time, “You know you can’t say that in front of other people” is aware that I am an unapologetic and unhyphenated American. He is from Guyana, a proud legal immigrant and while he will say that he is American, I have noticed that he is always a Guyanese first. When he speaks of legal immigrants from Guyana, he says that they are Guyanese and then follows it up with they are here legally.

The short of it: It is fine for a Jamaican, Haitian, Mexican, South American, Nigerian or Arab to embrace nationalism but “racist” “anti-Islamic” “xenophobic” “not who we are” according to spin masters for Americans and Europeans (because someone has decided that they’re all white) to express the same.

Such a load of b.s. Every day, we are witnessing two sets of laws in the United States, one set of laws for illegal immigrants and another for legal immigrants and natural born Americans with natural born Americans being pushed to the rear of the bus as a punishment for being who we are and for our love of country.

The intent is to force Americans to relinquish their identity and spirituality to clear the path for Communism only across the planet.

UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Goal 16.9 – LEGAL ID – ID2020

[Newspeak: The above banner represents UN SDG’s Goal 16. It is reminiscent of AntiFa fascists stomping on the heads of their victims while shouting “Love trumps hate” and insisting that they’re fighting to defeat fascism and Nazism. The banner and those behind it are no more peaceful or seeking peace than AntiFa fascists.]

Lisa Haven News Network

by Lisa Haven

“The ID2020 Alliance is a global partnership working to address the lack of recognized identity by more than a billion people around the world, in accordance with Target 16.9 of the Sustainable Development Goals.

“Reaching the goal outlined in Target 16.9 of the Sustainable Development Goals is ambitious and will require coherent and coordinated action at the national, regional and global levels. The overall objective of the ID2020 Alliance is to empower individuals, enable economic opportunity, and advance global development by increasing access to digital identity.”

…

“A unique convergence of trends provides an unprecedented opportunity to make a coordinated, concerted push towards the goal of universal digital identity.”

That is the goal of a United Nations-backed organization called ID2020.

Ultimately, the goal of this group is to implement target 16.9 of the 17 goals laid out in the UN’s Sustainable Development. Goal 16.9 reads, “by 2030, [they will] provide legal ID for all, including birth registration.” This is exactly what ID2020 intends to do!

All that and more in this bombshell report…

Additionally, all of us should be outraged by the United Nations who have adopted a global “action plan” demanding a planetary education regime that will brainwash our children into social-justice warriors and sustainability-minded world citizens.

The UN will promote “merged development” of the “whole person” including their beliefs, values, spirituality and lifestyle. Their goal included indoctrinating our youth to understand their responsibilities to “protect the planet,” and promote the UN agenda for the “common good.” Meaning throw personal individuality and freedom out the door and accept the hive mentality of “the good of the whole…”

One final point, as Muslims continue to converge upon Europe (and the United States) in overwhelming numbers, the claim is that these people have no identification to confirm or deny who they are yet the UN “High Commissioner for Refugees” courtesy of Accenture has implemented the use of “biometric technology to identify and track refugees.”

FindBiometrics.com (5/15/2015)

The UNHCR will use Accenture’s Biometric Identity Management System (BIMS) for the endeavor. BIMS can be used to collect facial, iris, and fingerprint biometric data, and will also be used to provide many refugees with their only form of official documentation. The system will work in conjunction with Accenture’s Unique Identity Service Platform (UISP) to send this information back to a central database in Geneva, allowing UNHCR offices all over the world to effectively coordinate with the central UNHCR authority in tracking refugees.

Starting with a pilot project in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, the program has blossomed over the last couple of years to provide services in refugee camps in Thailand and Chad, with over 220,000 people identified in the two countries so far. It’s an ambitious project, but Accenture has experience with large-scale biometric system initiatives, having helped the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Biometric Identity Management with a major border control project, for example. This latest endeavor will see the company’s technology used in important humanitarian efforts – and in fact it seems to have already helped hundreds of thousands.

Think what you will, but it seems to me that since the UNHCR  had the ability to track so-called “refugees” on a global scale for a few years now that they know more those than they’re shifting across the planet than they’re letting.  Thus, one can only assume that citizens of countries under invasion are intentionally being kept out of the loop by elected bureaucrats.

Another reason to despise Microsoft, as if you needed, it: Windows 10 Features Built-In Biometrics System. The talking points is that it will eliminate the need for passwords via Windows Hello. I hate Windows Hello and have disabled it. Privacy issue? Windows? Hell yes.

My Seventeen-Year Romance with George W Bush

Below is another EXCEPTIONAL essay from our friend Vassar Bushmills.

Unified Patriots by Vassar Bushmills

In 2000, I genuinely liked George W Bush. He was more than just “not Al Gore” or even “Not the continuation of the Clinton Machine.” He was Christian, a conservative (No, really) and a quiet, congenial man. He ran on a string of conservative legislative themes, which never really panned out because he was interrupted by a higher calling.

9/11

On 9/14 George W Bush became a war president, memorialized by that picture of him at ground zero with his arm around an NYC fire chief.

With the speed of American reaction to bin Laden’s hideout in Afghanistan, to most people’s minds, by 2004, had worked his way into the annals of America as one of its great presidents.

By 2006, I was beginning to have second thoughts. Still a fine Christian, and a steadfast supporter of the troops, in a period when almost 5000 came home in coffins, it was clear he had still missed the mark in establishing real democracy in Iraq. And all he had to do was use the models laid out for him by Harry Truman with the occupation and redesign of Japan and Germany, planning to stay at least ten years as an occupier, and afterwards, a regional guardian of that garden of democracy that had produced modern Japan and Germany. In 2004, I wrote about this great opportunity, and how a single secure Arab democracy could serve as a beacon to the entire region if, instead of a total tribal top-down government, institutions were also instilled from the bottom-up so that, over years, the people could rearrange their priorities toward the greater good, much as Americans did in the 19th-early 20th Century. (America proved the process exists in nature.) I even published a book about it, no longer in print.

Alas, Bush chose poorly, handing the running of the Iraqi government over to a top-down council not unlike community organizers in Chicago, all within two short years, where far more advanced societies like Japan and Germany had required about seven. (We still have an occupation-era hotel in Tokyo.)

Opportunity lost.

Unlike many people who disagreed with the US invasion of Iraq, on this account I thought it was a good idea, and made my case, because it was a workable idea and a project that only America could pull off because it had done so before. If anyone in government, or the several think tanks who advised the Bush Administration, I’m not sure if any of them ever considered giving occupation a chance[…]

I, too, began to lose favor with George W. Bush in the latter years of his presidency.

Too often, I wondered, “why doesn’t he stand up to the disgusting propagandists on the left?” “Why doesn’t he set the record straight?” “Why doesn’t he defend himself? Us?”

Suddenly, a light bulb popped on that would flicker off and on through the years about POTUS43. In 2015/2016, that light bulb flicked on, became brighter and stayed on. POTUS43 was a globalist, of the swamp, for the swamp whose interest was primarily the Bush legacy.

They never saw President Donald J. Trump coming.

Unified Patriots by Vassarbushmills

PRELUDE
Make no doubt about it, in much the same way that Abraham Lincoln’s election in 1860 prompted the first Civil War, the election of Donald Trump in 2016 has prompted this second one.

While ostensibly over slavery, what the election of the Republicans in 1860 signaled was the end of an era, that era beginning in 1824-1828 with the creation of the original Democrat Party, whose cynical purpose was to hold onto political power by maintaining slavery well beyond any economic utility, around which almost all American politics would revolve so that the Union would be forever split into two camps of equal electoral size divided by an issue about which there could never be any agreement.

Sound familiar?

While the political parties were held in balance by slavery, they could then go about debating every other issue; taxation, tariffs, national banks, westward expansion in the back and forth fashion American politics has always been defined to be.

Cynical, it was still a masterful business model drafted by the Democrat’s original founders, Martin Van Buren and Andrew Jackson.

What the Democrats did not foresee was that it would only take a single generation, roughly thirty (30) years for that failing economic model to be etched into half the national fabric as a socio-cultural, religious and philosophic icon, as a way of life to be protected politically and a cause to die for.

Sound familiar?

I’d love to discuss this over a bottle of Scotland’s best, but fast forward to 2016 and consider the parallels, namely two intransigent sides fighting over the very root of what it means to be American, when only fifty years ago, two generations, “liberals”, as they were known then, largely agreed with the rest of Americans about the fundamental foundations, the institutional building blocks of the Republic, as designed by the Founders in 1776 and 1787.

I won’t wax poetic about the resume this still-imperfect union had built by the 1960s. But it is prodigious, and built entirely by men and women the rest of the world had cast off, it’s detritus. At the time of the first Civil War we were still largely an Anglo-Saxon Protestant nation, but by the early 20th Century, “the shoulders we all stand on” included cast-offs from eastern Europe, the Far East, and then Latin America and Africa, so that now every American shares that same one aspect, arising out of forbears who were low-born, all our generations, “risen”.

Why that all changed in the 1960s was not because America had fallen on hard times. In fact the generation of the 60s were themselves sired by a generation who had known hard times as no other Americans ever had, and then, just as they were bouncing out of it, had to postpone life for another five years to go fight two wars to liberate half the rest of the world, over a quarter-of-million of them postponing life for an eternity[…]
