During Operation Protective Edge, the dogs of the IDF’s Oketz unit battled terrorists in Gaza. Many of them were wounded in combat, but that didn’t stop them from continuing the fight.

Only ten days after suffering a severe injury in Gaza, Whiskey – a dog in the IDF’s Oketz unit – returned to the battlefield. He wasn’t alone. During Operation Protective Edge, several of the IDF’s canines were wounded in clashes with Hamas terrorists. Like Whiskey, many of them continued fighting despite their wounds.

 

Oketz (Hebrew: ‘Sting’) is the IDF’s elite canine unit and the best of its kind in the world. The unit’s soldiers undergo intense training to lead infantry forces and special units into battle. They prepare year round to join IDF troops in all sorts of situations, from basic missions to the most complex operations.

“Our dogs are filled with motivation, and they rarely reveal that something is wrong with them,” explained Major A, one of the unit’s senior veterinarians. On the first day of the operation’s ground phase, a bullet entered Whiskey’s leg near a major artery. Despite his injury, he continued to carry out his mission alongside IDF soldiers….

Anti-Israeli Protesters Hang Palestinian Flag on Manhattan Bridge

Two weeks after pranksters artists displayed two German flags high atop the Brooklyn Bridge, anti-Israeli activists protesting the Israeli/Hamas conflict hung a Palestinian flag on the lower south side of the Manhattan Bridge.

The flag remained in place for about 30 minutes before it was removed read, “boycott, divest, sanction.”

The march started at Brooklyn’s Cadman Plaza. Protesters shouting, “Free Palestine” and “Long Live the Intifada” made their way across the Brooklyn Bridge toward New York City Police Plaza.

In addition to the Israeli/Hamas conflict, protesters wanted to shed light on “attention to the unequivocal support of Israel by NYC’s political elite, despite overwhelming condemnation from the international community… connecting Palestinian resistance to Israeli aggression to recent struggles in the U.S. against highly militarized police departments….”

In other words, every one of these hypocrites has an agenda of their own. Therefore, all are taking advantage of the crisis in Ferguson. They all want to be Mike Brown. Balderdash.

What the protest has done is highlighted another difference between Michael Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio.

Although the man is a putz, under Bloomberg, the two German flags would never have made it atop the Brooklyn Bridge in the first place. Furthermore, we would not reading today about anti-Israeli supporters unfurling the Palestinian flag on the Manhattan Bridge either.

No one can say that the Obama wannabe, Bill de Blasio, is slipping because he never had it. De Blasio is out to lunch all of the time.

Finally, NYPD had better put an end to this. Otherwise, we’ll have every group hanging their nation or ideological flags on our bridges. This must be stopped now.

Israeli Vessel Blocked from Docking at Oakland Port

Since Saturday, thousands of anti-Israeli protesters have blocked an Israeli cargo ship from docking and unloading at the port of Oakland.

Protesting the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, the goal of the pro-Palestinian activists is to block Israeli from docking at American seaports throughout the western U.S. and Canada.

The target of their ire is Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd., Israel’s largest shipping company headquartered in Norfolk.

Saturday’s protest drew several thousand people, Al Jazeera reported, one of a slew of “Block the Boat“ events planned for the West Coast, with similar actions slated for Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, on Wednesday and, later, Vancouver.

As posted on Block the Boat’s Facebook page, the longshoremen’s union is standing with pro-Palestinian activists. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union refused to cross the picket lines, which makes it impossible for cargo vessels, Zim Lines and others to dock and unload.

ZIM ship turned away from SSA!

For four days straight the San Francisco Bay Area community blocked the Israeli ZIM ship from unloading at the Port of Oakland. And today, we salute the rank and file of ILWU for standing with us against Israeli Apartheid by honoring our pickets and letting the ship go from the SSA terminal this afternoon!

Saturday we mobilized thousands of our community to show the world that Oakland does not welcome racism, apartheid or Zionism, from Ferguson to Palestine. We flooded the streets and marched towards the Port only to discover that the ZIM ship decided to stay at Bay rather than dock and be confronted by the power of our numbers. The ship attempted to dock and unload on Sunday, but within a half hour’s time hundreds of us organized community pickets requesting that ILWU to stand with us on the side of justice and not unload the Apartheid ship. And as ILWU always has, and as they did during South African Apartheid, they demonstrated their solidarity with the global fight against oppression and honored our picket. Once again on Monday, and then on Tuesday morning, community pickets coupled with worker solidarity stopped the ZIM ship from unloading….

According to JOC.com, the protesters were long gone Tuesday but the marine terminal remained closed because longshoremen refused to show up for work due to the situation evolving from supporting protesters to a problem between the union and management.

According to Communist newspaper, Workers World, protesters tied the blockade of the Israeli cargo vessel to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson.

When they reached the berth at SSA where the Zim would have been tied up, the protesters were met with a large and menacing police line across the entire driveway where the longshore workers enter to work the ships. Spontaneously, the crowd marched square up to the police, raising their hands in the air and chanting “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” to indicate support for the African-American community in Ferguson….

IDF destroys homes of murderers who kidnapped three Jewish teens

Early this morning, the IDF’s Engineering Corps (Special Forces) destroyed the home of Husam al-Kawasme.

Al-Kawasme is the mastermind behind the kidnapping and murder of three teens, i.e., Gil-Ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrah and Naftali Fraenkel abducted and killed in June by Hamas affiliates.

In addition to al-Kawasme’s home, the IDF destroyed the home of suspected murderer Amir Abu Aisha and it sealed and put out of use the home of the suspect Marwan al-Kawasme.

Abu Aisha and Marwan al-Kawasme who are affiliated with Hamas have been at large since the June 12 kidnapping. …

Hamas Executed Tunnel Diggers to Keep Tunnel Locations Secret

In order to ensure that the locations of their tunnels remain a secret, Hamas has executed dozens of tunnel diggers.

As reported by Mako’ Army Blog, during the excavation of the Gaza tunnels, tunnel workers were blindfolded when traveling to and from tunnel locations. They were also stripped searched to ensure that the diggers were not carrying a camera or recording device.

After the tunnels were completed, dozens were reportedly executed to prevent intelligence leaks to Israel.

‘Anyone they suspected might transfer information to Israel on the tunnels was killed by the military wing,’ a different source said. ‘They were very cruel.’

In 2012, a Journal of Palestine Studies article claimed 160 Palestinian children were killed while working on Hamas’s tunnel system….

Iron Dome Commander: ‘Hand of God sent missile into sea’

A few weeks ago, The Jewish Telegraph posted an article, “Their God changes the path of our rockets, said a terrorist.” The witness was a member of Hamas engaged in warfare against the state of Israel in spite of which, attacks by Hamas against Israel continue with very little signs of letting up.

Fast forward to three weeks later, accountings of God thwarting the path of Israel’s enemies continue, according to Israel Today as reported by WND, the latest testimony comes from an Iron Dome Commander.

…The commander recalled: ‘A missile was fired from Gaza. Iron Dome precisely calculated [its trajectory]. We know where these missiles are going to land down to a radius of 200 meters. This particular missile was going to hit either the Azrieli Towers, the Kirya (Israel’s equivalent of the Pentagon) or [a central Tel Aviv railway station]. Hundreds could have died.

‘We fired the first [interceptor]. It missed. Second [interceptor]. It missed. This is very rare. I was in shock. At this point we had just four seconds until the missile lands. We had already notified emergency services to converge on the target location and had warned of a mass-casualty incident…..
