…On his trip to Asia this week, President Obama struggled to pronounce the name of Aung San Suu Kyi, the most prominent human rights activist in the world. As The Associated Press reports (hat tip: Drudge Report):

Ever gracious, Suu Kyi did not correct her American guest for calling her Aung YAN Suu Kyi multiple times during his statement to reporters after their meeting.

Proper pronunciation for the Nobel laureate’s name is Ahng Sahn Soo Chee…

… Obama used the word ‘Myanmar,’ the preferred terminology of the former military government and currently nominally civilian government, in a spray following the bilat, rather than use ‘Burma,’ the former name of the country, and the one preferred by Aung San Suu Kyi as well as the name the U.S. uses….

I find it hard to believe that Obama could not find one person on U. S. soil to teach him the proper pronunciation of two names, one of which happens to be the most famous human rights activist on the planet but then again, the condescending one was probably too busy golfing.

Since it is public knowledge that Obama missed nearly 60% of this daily national security briefings during the past year, not to mention his countless foreign policy gaffes these past four years, is it too much for any American to expect this boob to show some improvement.

Why is it that when it comes to this condescending elitist Commie, all we get is more of the same?

“President Obama has been criticised by Turkish lawmakers over a White House photograph showing him speaking on the phone with the prime minister of Turkey while wielding a baseball bat.

The odd image shows the president seated at his desk holding a bat autographed by baseball great Hank Aaron while talking with Prime Minister Recip Tayyip Erdogan about the crisis in Syria.

Political figures in Turkey have interpreted the picture as vaguely menacing and branded it ‘insulting’.

‘The photo reveals from whom our prime minister receives orders to rule the country,’ Metin Lutfi Baydar, a lawmaker with Turkey’s main opposition party, said.

Some newspapers took a more light-hearted approach to the diplomatic snafu, with columnist Ahmet Hakan of Hurriyet writing: ‘We need to do something – retaliation seems to be the most reasonable method.’

‘Our prime minister needs to hold something in his hand as he’s calling Obama,’ he added, suggesting as possible candidates a slipper, a belt or a rolling pin…”

Now, I could suggest something for Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan to hold in his hands while speaking with Obama the inept on the phone but I am not that kind of girl.

While that maybe the case, let that be a lesson to Obama who has never encountered a photo op (and prop) he did not like.  That being said, you really can’t make this shit up.  We have a jackass in the White House.
