GRUMPY OPINIONS

Anyone who’s taken a close look at the 2012 results from Ohio, Pennsylvania in Florida knows many of the elections outcomes are tainted, at best…

…Which brings us to Florida and the contest between Congressman Allen West and Democrat Patrick Murphy

Florida’s St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker should be named America’s Poster Child for ‘How Not to Run Elections’. She has a long history of  not  deleting dead voters, felons, and non-citizens from the voter records. I also understand she’s very lax in enforcing voter ID Laws. In short St. Lucie County is a perfect target for any one who wants to engage in voter fraud.

So much weird stuff happened in St Lucie on election day, and ever since  it’s almost impossible to keep track of it all.  John Fund over at the National Review Online does an excellent job of explaining most of it in  West Fights On amid Vote-Recount Mayhem  Here’s an excerpt:

‘Then there is Gertrude Walker, the 32-year-veteran election supervisor of St. Lucie County, who has spent much of the last two weeks explaining why her office completely botched the count…

You can go to the homepage for the US House of Representatives  click find your Representative, and e-mail your congress-person  from there.  His.Her contact page will also have phone numbers, so call ‘em.  If we do it now. Congress will put pressure on Florida to conduct appropriate recount and a thorough investigation….

The results of the 2012 Elections stinks so bad that it is enough to choke the breath of every American.

My answer to why the GOP refuses to fight the incredible amounts of fraud that has taken place is that the Republican establishment is complicit in their desperation to rid themselves of tea party candidates.

We cannot allow the fraud to pass.

Allen West is a patriot and a hero.  He deserves better.  We, as Americans, deserve better.  The country deserves better.

Please contact your elected officials, House of Representatives Twitter & Phone Contact List and demand that they not seat Patrick Murphy in the House of Congress “unless and until an investigation and recount is completed by the state of Florida.”

Shell-shocked: Allen West’s Seat Stolen

MARK AMERICA

I can’t even begin to characterize how thoroughly disgusting this fiasco has been.  Retired Lieutenant Colonel Allen West lost his bid for re-election after what can only be termed an incompetent and dishonest count by officials of St. Lucie County.  They did not recount everything, but only three days of early voting.  Military ballots were never counted.  I want to say this one more time. According to sources on the ground, all of the military ballots languished in a warehouse, uncounted, and they never will be counted.  This is a shocking development, and West’s legal team is pressing their case, but at this point, he’s been screwed.  There were problems with bad memory in at least one voting machine, and any number of other clear irregularities.  The GOP establishment got their wish and rid themselves of Allen West.  To be honest, while I had been hopeful, I have been expecting this sort of result.  West tangled with the machine, and they redistricted his butt to the curb in answer.  The most dynamic, forthright, and clear-minded speaker for conservatism in the House of Representatives was sent home, not only to punish him, but I believe to dispirit and punish us.

Some will choose to focus on the irregularities, the vote fraud, and all of the things that have occurred in that district, and we should certainly fight against those transgressions, but ladies and gentlemen, that ought not to have been Allen West’s district at all.  The Florida legislature, particularly those in tight with the GOP establishment, redrew West’s district knowing he would face these issues with corrupt St. Lucie County.  They knew it.  That’s why they made this area part of his district.  It was sabotage, and after all we have been through together here on this blog, if you don’t recognize it, you’re wearing blinders.  In January, I brought readers this story….

The Progressive establishment on both the left and the right colluded against Tea Party candidates and in this case, Congressman Allen West.  We, as Americans, cannot afford to lose Congressman West.  He is a valuable asset to our country.

We must rid the party once and for all of the elitist Republican establishment.  Their time is up. Their days are over and simply put, they have to go.  Their interest has not been that of the people for a long time now.

GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum fires up a crowd in Coral Springs, FL as he begins his Florida campaign leading up to the state’s primaries. Santorum draws a stark contrast between himself and the other GOP competitors in the race as he lambasts Obama for his domestic and foreign policies.

Congressman West Reaction to Congressional Black Caucus Statements

The following email was received earlier this afternoon from Congressman and CBC member, Allen West.  This is definitely worth sharing.

“(WASHINGTON) —- Congressman Allen West (FL-22)  sent this letter today to Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver, regarding recent comments about the Tea Party made by members of the CBC.

Excerpts from the letter:

‘It is unconscionable when a fellow CBC Member, Congressman Andre Carson, comes to South Florida and claims that some in the Tea Party would love to see black Americans ‘hanging on a tree.’ It is appalling to hear another CBC colleague, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, say ‘The Tea Party can go straight to hell.’

‘As Chairman of the CBC, I believe it is incumbent on you to both condemn these types of hate-filled comments, and to disassociate the Congressional Black Caucus from these types of remarks. Otherwise, I will have to seriously reconsider my membership within the organization.’

‘Congressman Carson’s desire to generally criticize a large grassroots group as racist is baseless and desperate. When individuals believe they are defeated in a political disagreement, they normally resort to race-baiting, which in my opinion is in itself racist.’

‘As a member of the CBC, I look forward to working with you to help end this practice.  All of us, especially Congressman Carson, Congresswoman Waters and others who have engaged in racially-motivated rhetoric, should follow the example of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., not the example of Reverend Jeremiah Wright.’

The entire letter to Chairman Cleaver is attached.” (below)

Brace yourself America, there is bound to be fireworks.  As we all know, the Congressional Black Caucus is intentionally declaring war on the Tea Party to divert attention away from the fact that they are nothing more than a bunch of Communist thugs who have failed their constituency.

By declaring war on the Tea Party, the CBC has declared war on Congressman West.

I stand by Congressman Allen West.

Letter from Allen West to Congressional Black Caucus 08312011 (pdf)

Well done, Congressman West, well done.

SB1620/HB7197: Digital Learning Bill Passes

11 Wednesday May 2011

Education, Florida, Florida Department of Education, socialism, Unions, Virtual education

I have a problem with virtual learning or digital learning as some may call it.  Call me old school but I believe in smaller classrooms and children receiving the special attention they need.

Moreover, whenever I hear the phrase virtual education, I think of the following commercial:

I have had the discussion of virtual education and the need for fewer teachers with a neighbor and several of her co-workers, all of whom are unionized public school teachers and they do not see this happening.  In fact, they are beyond confident that their unions will protect them from the threat of job loss that can and will come about from virtual education.

In essence, they see virtual education going nowhere.  Try as I might to convince them otherwise, I have failed so I guess that they will just have to wait for the pink slip that will eventually smack them into reality.

It is my opinion that virtual education, national standards and testing, the federal government overseeing the education of our students will diminish the power of states and localities over their schools.

As such, our children will become the losers in this political exercise.  The only winners under virtual learning are mega corporations such as that of Bill Gates and greedy politicians.

Why the media is not reporting this is anyone’s guess.  Their failure to report on the ploys of the federal government and the passage of such legislation undermines the future of schools and the children who attend them.

ORIGINALLY POSTED AT GRUMPY EDUCATORS:

“Late Monday, I noticed that the House ditched its version of so-called digital learning and voted on a new bill that matched the Senate version. Last week I read the 50 plus page Senate bill and called my legislator to voice my concerns. The entire Brevard delegation supported the bill. As written, the bill opens the door for outsourcing virtual charters. The requirements for teachers include a type of certification for individuals who may live outside the United States, but no Florida teacher certification requirements are needed.

These virtual charters do not require a physical presence in Florida; however, all who offer services must be approved by the Florida Department of Education. This bill is also an unfunded mandate requiring school districts to provide access for those who do not have the proper equipment and internet access. The bill was introduced by Florida Senator Anitere Flores, who is listed as a member of the digital learning committee on the education foundation established by former Governor Jeb Bush….”

So how do you like the idea of virtual education, the elimination of teachers in our public schools (most of them anyway) and outsourcing the rest to teachers  across the ocean?

What better way to usher in Communism and further indoctrinate young America.

As for the nation’s unionized teachers who simply do not believe that this is possible, as I informed my neighbor and her fellow teachers, they are being betrayed. There is absolutely no way that the teacher’s union is in the dark about this.

No doubt if this travesty is allowed to come to pass, reality is going to hurt more than just our children.

I pray that SandraInBrevard gets her much needed rest and returns to us soon.  Her voice is one that the country needs to hear.
