On Monday, Speaker of the House, John Boehner, officially declared war on tea party Conservatives by booting Tim Huelskamp (Kansas) and Justin Amash (Michigan) from the Budget Committee and David Schweikert (Arizona) and Walter Jones (North Carolina) from the Financial Services Committee.

‘It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating. Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return,’ Huelskamp says. ‘The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP establishment cannot handle disagreement.’
Leadership has not formally explained why the members have been shuffled around.
‘Changes are made for a variety of reasons, most often at the request of committee chairs,’ a leadership aide told U.S. News. Another aide told NBC News the men were being replaced because they were ‘not being team players…

Translation: Huelskamp, Amash, Schweikert and Jones are being punished for choosing country and the electorate over the bidding of John Boehner, Barack Obama and the Progressive establishment.
Boehner interpreted the 2012 election results as a mandate and opportunity to purge the Republican Party of tea party Conservatives whom he and fellow Progressives on both the left and right view as a hindrance to the Progressive agenda.
Having come out of the closet, the love affair between the Progressive Republican establishment and the Progressive left wing is now official. They are one and all are bought and paid for.
Time to purge the Republican Party of Progressive Republicans, starting with John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell.

On a final note, I received this afternoon an email from Freedom Works that reads as follows:
House Speaker John Boehner and the failed political establishment are purging House Committees of fiscal conservatives.
So far, Reps. Amash, Huelskamp, and Schweikert have been removed from their respective committees for refusing to vote in lock step with the Republicans on endless spending. These members have been some of the most reliable votes for economic freedom and the Constitution, and they are now being punished for their loyalty to their Oath of Office.
Click here to call Boehner right now and tell him to restore these Members to their Committees.
These statesmen have been fighting tirelessly for us, and now we must fight for them.
Rep. Tim Huelskamp (KS) – Removed from the House Budget Committee (96% FreedomWorks Lifetime Rating).
Rep. Justin Amash (MI) – Removed from the House Budget Committee (100% FreedomWorks Lifetime Rating).
Rep. David Schweikert (AZ) – Removed from the House Financial Services (96% FreedomWorks Lifetime Rating).
It’s bad enough we have to fight the big-spending liberal Democrats. But with friends like Boehner, who needs liberals?
Call Boehner Now!
The Republican leadership is tired of principled fiscal conservatives fighting against their big-government agenda, and this is just the first shot. We need to send a message to Boehner that we will not allow our most valued Congressmen to be purged for upholding their commitment to economic freedom and the Constitution.
