In the cesspool known as New York City, more than 100 first responders, second responders and correction officers who either worked at Ground Zero during the recovery and cleanup process or were on the scene during the September 11, 2001 Islamic terrorist attack on the World Trade Center have been busted for faking mental and psychiatric illnesses in order to collect Social Security disability payments.

Moving up north: Unlike many of the fraudsters who retired to Florida, Rich Cosentino moved to New Hampshire, but that doesn’t put him out of the scope of the Manhattan District Attorney. Cosentino collected a total of $207639 since May 2008.

Tuesday’s arrests are expected to the first of more to come.  In a scam dating back to 2008, those accused bilked taxpayers out of hundreds of millions of dollars in disability benefits under the guise that they were so screwed up from the terror of the September 11^th attack and/or illnesses contracted due to the cleanup at Ground Zero that they could no longer hold a job.

In order to qualify for disability, responders had to retire (full-time).  It is alleged that while collecting the monthly disability payment, the accusers held a second job….

UPDATE:  Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with only fifty (50) 911 families.  Supposedly, today’s Ground Zero ceremony victory lap and photo op will be very quiet.

So much for transparency America.

Not only is Obama’s visit tomorrow a victory lap for the anointed one, it is a sham, an insult and disrespectful of New Yorkers and those who died on September 11, 2001.

According to the New York Daily News, Obama will be meeting with a small “select” group of 911 families at Ground Zero tomorrow.

One of the invited 911 family members is retired FDNY Deputy Chief Jim Riches, whose firefighter son, Jim, was killed on 9/11.

Stripping it down to the bare facts, the select group of 911 family members whom Obama will meet with tomorrow are loved ones of government union members (first responders) who perished on September 11, 2001.

In all fairness, not all family members of deceased first and second responders are invited to meet with Obama.  I suspect it depends on whom you know.

The rest will be ignored and thrown under the bus along with the remaining 97% of families who lost loved ones September 11 that were not government union employees?

Supposedly, after Obama meets with family members, he will then meet with first responders, union members with the press in tow.

As I have been saying, Obama’s visit to Ground Zero has nothing to do with helping New Yorkers to find closure but everything to do with Obama.

So what about non-first and second responders who perished September 11?

What about non-union members who perished September 11?

I ask these questions not just of Barack Obama but of every bureaucrat/politician who for the past decade busted their a$$e$ to make sure that our first and second responders, all of whom belong to government unions were taken care of while the remaining 97% of those who perished were ignored.

The remaining 97% who perished and their families are just as deserving but far too many of them were kicked to the curb.

Obama has once again shown Americans that he represents only a select few.  The rest can go to hell.

Finally, shame on the lame stream media for playing up Obama’s trip to Ground Zero as being that which it is not.
