The Natural Law Case for Violence Against AntiFa

In some instances the only thing that will work is some form of violence.

Think about it. America was born because a few Americans planted their swords, not their pens, into a set of ideas, and took up the practice of armed violence, a thing about which most of them knew very little.

Now, I don’t have that level of violence in mind. In the first place, I don’t think it’s necessary, and unless Antifa, Black Lives Matter or any other radical group can hit a watermelon from 150 yards, or can carry out small unit tactics in three different types of terrain, I can’t see it happening. Ever.

I’m not talking about that type of violence. but rather, a moral justification for violence as found in Nature.

Sometimes it is elevated to a moral necessity, when there simply is no other way to accomplish a thing. Preserving freedom is most definitely one of them.

So let’s just say that the threat of violence should always be on the table, and we cannot project that threat if we reject violence out of hand simply because some radicals have already used violence as their own calling card to achieve a political purpose.

I certainly reject riots as a legitimate form of violence, along with several other types.

One of my favorite television news commentators is Tucker Carlson of Fox News, because he showcases the IYI (Intellectual Yet Idiot- Nassim Nicolas Taleb) wing of Leftism. They are at the center of the Antifa (“anti-fascist”) movement in America.

One the one hand, they are easy to mock, but on the other, as the tail of a venomous snake, something to be very concerned about.

When a kid takes a gig with AntiFa, if only for that first weekend in Portland, at $15/hour, it’s not just for the props and make-up he gets to dress up in, which are cool. It’s also because he gets to rub elbows with other self-proclaimed “intellectuals”; i.e., Taleb’s IYI’s. It’s a kind of validation. So next week, when he meets up with students on campus, and he tells them he’s been baptized “an intellectual”, and they say, “are not”, and he replies “are too”, back and forth until he produces that pic on his cell, wearing that fine, new, bandana, they have to step back in admiration[…]

Pat Buchanan is a little more dark, and less optimistic than I am about America’s chances if an impeachment process is begun.

Pat and I and separated by 7 years. We are also divided by perspective, he spending most of his professional life looking at American life and the world from the top down, while I’ve spent my life looking at the world from the bottom up. My view of the Constitution is also from the bottom-up, “life, liberty and happiness” as being written for the common man and woman. In Pat’s rarefied air those sorts of thoughts may only rarely cross a man’s mind, but which, even for a man of his age and experience, seems to be a common disability among conservatives.

More surprisingly, for a staunch Roman Catholic, Pat never says publicly whether God has a stake in America. I’m not sure Pat thinks about this very much, either. After all, the link between God, Jesus and the common folk was how it all got started, and the case can be made, in Darwin terms even, that God caused America to happen, and as a result, chose sides in the 2016 election. Franklin Graham believes so, and Pat will have to go back to the heady days of Reagan to note the many happy Christians walking around these days, shaking hands and slapping backs with millions of people they don’t know.

Of course, I believe God has a huge stake in America and its restoration, and just as He selected the most unlikely band of English religious wingnuts to first settle America in 1607, he picked the most unlikely character to begin its Reformation in 2016.

But Pat is right, there is a coup attempt in progress. Only what do we do about it? Or even think about it?.

Again, because of the God-factor, I’m optimistic.

“After Hitler” is a 2-part video documentary series about Europe in the five years immediately following World War II, 1945-1949. Each episode is roughly 43 minutes and was produced in 2016 but has the unmistakable feel of a 1940s news reel, although theatres rarely showed newsreels in color.

This is a MUST-SEE, for every generation since it will show you things no book you could read could convey

And especially, for everyone of any age who is watching Europe unravel today, for this offers some context as to why history always seems to repeat itself there.

I have a few words of commentary, below, but watch this first.

Part 1: 1945-47

Part 2: 1947-49

Take note, this is NOT an American production, and much of the film also is not American. It was originally produced in French language and pre-sold for distribution in several languages to Germany’s N24, Italy’s Rai, Norway’s NRK, Spain’s RTVE, Discovery Networks Europe, Quebec’s TV5, Blue Ant Television in English-speaking Canada and Al Arabiya in the Middle East. I saw it the other night through the Discovery Channel, but the above presentations here are without commercial interruption.

Having seen these videos I’m guessing they show a side of the Europeans most people couldn’t imagine. But with the “erection” of the Iron Curtain it came home to many first-and-second generation immigrants in America that the folks back in the old country were being sold a bill of goods by the new communist overlords and men in communist-controlled Italian, French and Spanish union halls. The peoples of the eastern bloc, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, the Balkans, were especially susceptible to propaganda about how bad things were for working people in Amerika.

So, in 1952 a short 10-minute film was put together called “The Million Dollar Nickle” and run in America’s theaters as a short subject. It was urging people to write to the folks back home (the letter cost a nickel) and tell them about the fact that factory workers here who built cars also owned cars, to tell them how many packaged food items were available at a grocery store within walking distance. Tell them about our schools. And, as ZsaZsa Gabor asked, (in her native Hungarian) “Don’t brag.”

Sorry, I can’t find a video link to this film, but it came from the last days of the Truman Administration, was possibly government produced, but would be effective even today if shown in public schools. Strange, you may say, that it came from the Democrats and Hollywood, but Hollywood had become disillusioned with Stalin by 1948, after his power grab and  brutality in East Europe, (as shown in Part II, above) so it would take another twenty-years and a new generation in Hollywood to relight the flame of entitlement, which, if the truth be known, is native to any place where immense wealth can be created simply by fooling people. Imagine saying: There was no Holocaust and Hitler was right in the same sentence..

I get these idiot comments on Gab almost every morning, ditto Twitter before my suspension. Seriously, I sit in my cyber, senior, rocking chair, drinking my Prescott moonshine and cackle like an old coot. The irony of the whole statement is absurd to begin with. “there was no Holocaust, but-gas the kikes“. Alas, this is the sheer stupidity I have to bear with. I am 52 years old. Most of the low class Neo-Nazis are between 14-35. KIDS. Ditto SJW Liberal morons. I am old enough to be their Mother or Grandmother.

Now, to the gist:

So- There are 2 unhinged groups in USSA today: Liberals who call people Nazi’s just because they are patriotic. Nazis who call everyone a Jew who doesn’t agree with them that the Jewish “ZOG” is taking over the world. Sure, there are Nazi’s in the right-wing and also the left-wing in American politics.
