~ “I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.” Ronald Reagan.
Tomorrow (April 23rd), parents in cities across the United States, including Charlotte, North Carolina, Austin, Texas, in Canada, Australia and London, England are engaging in a Sex Ed Sit Out.
Protesting the Perversion & Mis-Education of Our Children
Parents will keep their children out of school Monday in protest of Planned Parenthood’s involvement and its unsavory pro-sex agenda pushed in public schools across the nation. Homosexuality, anal and oral sex, how to “masturbate one another, and question their gender,” none of which has any place in the educational system, plays a major role in the push for social justice and all of which now takes precedence in public schools over the Three R’s and history.
[SIDEBAR: About the Three R’s, social justice have replaced teaching our children reading writing and arithmetic which has been moved to the back burner. Cursive writing is non-existent and the history that is being taught in our schools presents a skewed view of America, our Founding Fathers, and the rule of law. Lessons teaching the Bill of Rights is practically non-existent and when taught, what is being pushed as the Bill of Rights is historically incorrect. END OF SIDEBAR]
…Some government schools, supported by the U.S. taxpayer, allow Planned Parenthood into schools through a “sex-ed” program called “Get Real,” for example.
Why more Christian parents aren’t outraged about this is a mystery, but it’s encouraging to know some parents are taking action[…]
What kind of a sick world do we live in that school officials in the UK or anywhere for that matter would ban a seven year old blind girl named Lily Grace (above) from using her cane out of fear that she might trip one of her classmates? It seems to me that the sighted can see Lily Grace and the cane, so what is the problem besides inept bureaucrats and control freaks discriminating against Lily Grace and trying to control her every movement.
BRISTOL, UK – Calling it a “health and safety” issue, a school in Britain has banned a blind girl’s white cane over fear that she might trip one of her classmates.
Lily-Grace Hooper, a 7-year-old who attends Hambrook Primary School in Bristol, United Kingdom, was notified that her cane posed a “high risk” to other students and she was no longer allowed to use it.
A risk assessment was conducted by Sensory Support Service and it was determined the girl would be better off with full adult support “100 percent” at all times, the Bristol Post reports.
Lily-Grace’s mother, Kristy, is angry as she was raising her daughter to be as independent […]
In the first video, Lily Grace proves that she is capable of managing herself and her cane quite well. In the second, her mother discusses regulation nation.
LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School Board in Las Vegas is ignoring parents’ concerns and pushing forward with the possibility of including lessons on gender identity, sexual orientation in the district’s sex ed curriculum.
The board voted Thursday to explore expanding the district’s sex education curriculum for middle and high school students to include several controversial topics Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union thinks are important, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
“I understand there are sensitivities for different groups of my constituents, but no student should feel as though they are not valid,” trustee Chris Garvy told the large public meeting at Las Vegas Academy….
Russell Winn follows up on his article about the Huntsville School District signing a contract for a program to track conversations between parents and children in their homes. He provides (via youtube) a previous Board meeting with LENA presentation and a recording of the conversation between the Board and representatives from Lena Research Foundation as they briefly discuss the recordings between families.
Watch the video presentation (screenshot above from the presentation) which shows the representative’s claim that actual words are not counted, ‘just the sound’ (12:00 mark). As Winn points out, this is a contradiction to what is posted on LENA’s website. Winn writes:
What We Currently Know About the LENA Program of Recording Children
The board is planning to, as Dr. Cooper stated during her introduction of Mr. Davison, “reach down and start touching students when they are infants and toddlers” to help close the word gap beginning in May 2015.
Recruitment for this program will start immediately in March and April with their community partners. They will recruit children from “birth to thirty months.“
The first round of classes will begin in May. This will be an 8-week session, and then the district will follow up with a monthly meeting for 10 months to make sure “that parents are still on track.”
The community partners include: Huntsville Hospital, “the other hospital” (presumably Crestwood Medical Center), United Way and “various groups.”
The meetings will be held at Ridgecrest Elementary School and Second Mile Development.
The community partners will provide incentives for attending and allowing the children to be recorded. According to Dr. Wardynski, “when mom and dad come, they can leave with a box of diapers, and baby formula, stuff like that.”
Presumably the community partners will identify low-income parents to participate in the program. These parents will be recruited to participate in a curriculum called “Smarter Happier Baby” (SHB). Mr. Davison claims, “it’s not, a lot of times we’ve found that it’s not that the parents don’t want to, they don’t know how to” talk to their children.
Every “stakeholder” will have access to the data that is compiled by the program. As an example, Mr. Davison claimed that if it were 1:00am, and he wanted to check up on how “our students” (children birth to 30 months are students now) are doing, he can pull up that data on his smartphone wherever he is. Thus, the “stakeholders” who can access the data they are compiling include:
Parental conversations with children, with the permission of the parents, will be recorded and analyzed by a private company under a contract with the Huntsville City School District. From Geek Palaver:
During the Huntsville City Schools Board of Education meeting last night, the board, without asking a single question, approved Dr. Wardynski’s recommendation for a 24 month contract with the LENA Foundation for $93,500.
In order to collect this information, the district will be seeking parents of young children to give the district and the LENA Foundation the right to record every incident of conversation between the parent and the child.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Russell Winn provides some history on the company:
According to Dr. Wardynski, this is the first time that the LENA Foundation has worked with a school district….
I wonder if Dr. Wardynski is correct in his statement as it shows from the LENA website that it is working with several school districts from around the country….
Under the pretext that we are from the government and we are here to help, Scotland is implementing its Children and Young People (Scotland) Act of 2014 aka Named Person scheme.
The named person assigned to children under the age of five will be a health worker after which and through age 19, a schoolteacher would inherit the role.
Guidance on the implementation of the legislation, which was published last week, states that the named person could be involved with families and setting up ‘planning and support’ during the last trimester of pregnancy. The legislation, which is due to come into effect in 2016, covers children from the day they are born up until the age of 18….
Teachers are concerned that they will be overworked and ill prepared for this task as well as the repercussions of failure to meet mandated expectations BUT what about the PARENTS.
According to the Scottish government, “a ‘named person; for every child across Scotland will “make a real difference” to the lives of youngsters.” Translation: Screw the parents.
“every child will have a named person – usually a social worker of teacher – who they can go to for advice, support and help….” Support, assistance, doling out advice. Isn’t that the role of parents? “…The named person would also report suspected abuse in line with the current duty of care that teachers already have….”
The objective is to replace parents with government authorities. Proceed with the indoctrination and fundamental transformation of Scotland’s youth into snitches; namely to spy on family members (parents) and report all finding to the government. (Are you listening, America?)
The organization, No to Named Person (NO2NP), is attempting to block the further unfurling of this system, already implemented in Highland, Edinburgh, Fife Angus and South Ayrshire, Scotland (with a national target date of 2016) in court.
Campaigners fighting the controversial named person proposals have won their request for a fast track appeal after a judge threw out their initial bid to have the named person scheme declared illegal.
At a hearing in Edinburgh on 17 February, Lady Clark granted a motion which means the case could be heard as early as June.
Although the Scottish Government has stated the scheme will not be implemented until next year, ministers have refused to give undertakings not to proceed with the legislation, meaning there is nothing to prevent them bringing it into force at any time.
Clearly, politicians cannot be trusted regardless of what nation they represent.
What about PC and the threat to religious liberty?
Elizabeth Kendal in her blog, points out that the law ripe for abuse can be wielded as a weapon against Christians by ideologues and those with an agenda. H/t Christian Today.
Is a child’s ‘well-being’ threatened by home-schooling; or by parents who are seeking less invasive medical treatment; or by devout parents who teach that Jesus is the only Saviour or that God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman? Are children’s ‘well-being’ at stake if they are set curfews, denied their ‘sexual rights’, and taken to church when they’d rather play football?
