~ “I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.” Ronald Reagan.
Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Kevin Murphy = The Young Guns who lost their mojo. Actually, they never really had it. They’re credibility is in the swamp, ah hem cesspool.
In a candid interview with Eric Cantor in The Washingtonian, Cantor admits Obamacare could not be repealed and replaced, even if Republicans held both chambers. It’s obvious he knows it won’t be repealed now, even with Trump in the White House.
Cantor led the charge over several years and helped create the false impression that Obamacare would be repealed and replaced.
His lie, and he admits he “never believed it”, cost the former minority whip his seat in the House. It has also put Republicans in their current, untenable position. They are expected to repeal and replace the Obama healthcare bill, but many of the establishment Republicans have never and still don’t have any intention of doing it.
Cantor told The Washingtonian that he feels “100 percent responsible” for creating the perception that it would be repealed and replaced.
He admits he knew it was “dead on arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate…”
The day before Jeb Bush attempted to rebut Donald Trump’s claims that Bush was a “low-energy candidate” before the congregation at the West Hampton Beach synagogue, three of Jeb’s top fundraisers bolted for the door taking their checkbooks with them.
There are different versions of what transpired. The Florida-based fundraising consultants — Kris Money, Trey McCarley, and Debbie Aleksander — have said that they voluntarily quit the campaign and were still working with Bush’s super PAC, Right to Rise Super PAC. Others said the three, who worked under the same contract, were let go because they were no longer needed for the current phase of the campaign….
The departures came at a time of uncertainty for Bush. While he has had massive success raising money for his Super PAC, he is overseeing an official campaign that has many more staffers but far less money….
Bush recited a long list of cities he’s visited in the past six days, boasted of a “physical therapy workout” Friday with former Navy SEALs and said he would be jetting to North Carolina after his speech.
“The low-energy candidate this week has only been six days, 16 hours a day, campaigning with joy in my heart,” the former Florida governor said….
Oh Jeb, who cares. Moving on.
Jeb Bush is busy racking up endorsements from the GOP establishment, i.e., the latest former majority leader, Eric Cantor. Yes, Eric Cantor the loser aka “boring” loser.
In Virginia, Cantor is co-chairing the Bush campaign along with Kay Coles James, a former state health secretary, and John Hager, a former lieutenant governor and chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia. Hager’s son Henry is married to Bush’s niece Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of George W. Bush….
While Cantor is as boring as the Florida noon sun is hot, he will play a major role in keeping Donald Trump off the Virginia ballot if Trump does not play ball with the GOP leadership.
In a blow to the Progressive Republican establishment, House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor went down in flames tonight after being defeated by Tea Party challenger, Dave Brat whom Cantor outspent 22 to 1.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor fell to a Tea Party challenger on Tuesday in a stunning primary upset likely to send shockwaves through Congress and the Republican Party.
The Associated Press called the race for Dave Brat shortly after 8 p.m. Eastern time.
‘Obviously, we came up short,’ Cantor conceded shortly after the result was called.
‘It’s disappointing, sure,’ Cantor added. ‘But I believe in this country. I believe there’s opportunity around the next corner for all of us….’
An internal poll by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s (R-VA) re-election campaign had him with a 34-point lead over primary opponent economics professor David Brat.
The poll, conducted by John McLaughlin of McLaughlin & Associates between May 27 and May 28 found Cantor with 62 percent to Brat with 28 percent, according to The Washington Post on Friday. …
As reported last week by Breitbart, Maxine “Banshee” Waters in a disgusting presentation before her crowd of Progressive misfits called John Boehner and Eric Cantor “demons.”
Yet when approached by The Washington Times and questioned about her lack of civility, this contemptible and corrupt wench remained silent with a silly grin on her mug as he hastily headed for the nearest escape.
Apparently, she did not get the same memo that Debbie Wack-a-man Schultz received earlier this week from Obama advisers.
Why they still send me emails escapes me. I have unsubscribed from these sites so many times that I have lost count.
I received this email just moments ago from “Diana (Habibah) Brown (Abdul-Shaheed)” <dccc@dccc.org>
Check out what the Democrats are up to this afternoon.
“RAPID RESPONSE: Sign our petition telling Republicans to end their partisan witch-hunt against NPR
Friend —
BREAKING: Speaker Boehner and House Republicans just announced a vote to cut all federal funding for National Public Radio.
If the Republicans had their way, wed only be left with the likes of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin to dominate the airwaves.
We cant let this outrage go unchallenged. Republicans and their right-wing media backers are gearing up for this fight, and theyre hoping grassroots Democrats like you will stay on the sidelines.
Sign our petition right now telling Republicans to stop their partisan witch-hunt against NPR.
SIGN THE PETITION: http://dccc.org/npr”
ARE THEY FOR REAL? DEFUND NPR AND DEFUND THEM NOW.
P.S. Eric Cantor is speaking on the subject of defunding NPR at this moment.
Tomorrow, March 14th, the House of Representatives is going to take up the continuing resolution that will keep the government running for three weeks. Michele Bachmann and Steve King have been leading the fight to strip $105 billion from the bill. This is the stealth funding of Obamacare that was inserted into a previous budget.
John Boehner and the House leadership have not stripped this out of the bill.
If this spending is allowed to stand it will mean that Obamacare will become a reality. If the spending is stripped out, it will be a major step towards killing Obamacare permanently.
We have to act and we have to do it today and tomorrow.
First, we need to contact our Republican congressmen and tell them to vote no on the continuing resolution unless a provision is placed in that bill that strips the $105 BILLION that was inserted to fund Obamacare.
Since today is Sunday, their offices will be closed. You can still email and fax your congressman and tell them to vote no on the continuing resolution. Call them first thing in the morning. Remember, your congressman has at least two offices. They have their office in DC and they have their local office. Many times you can get through to the local office when you can’t get through to the DC office and if the local office starts getting a lot of calls, they will let the DC office know about it.
Then we need to contact the Republican leadership in the House to tell them to insert legislation into the continuing resolution that strips the $105 billion to fund Obamacare. We can email them and fax them today and call their offices tomorrow.
If you use twitter, you can send a tweet to @ericcantor
We must remind the GOP why we put them in power. We sent them there to cut spending and one of the biggest spending targets is Obamacare. If Speaker Boehner will not work to eliminate the Obamacare spending, then we must work to get a new Speaker in 2012 and a new Representative from Ohio’s eighth district.
Hopefully the GOP leadership in the House will do the right thing, follow the lead of Michele Bachmann and Steve King and eliminate the $105 billion in funding for Obamacare. Then we can send them emails thanking them and showing our appreciation, as opposed to starting to look for primary opponents.
