Obama Guts Welfare Reform

…Today the Obama Administration issued a new directive stating that the traditional TANF work requirements can be waived or overridden by a legal device called the section 1115 waiver authority under the Social Security law (42 U.S.C. 1315).

Section 1115 states that “the Secretary may waive compliance with any of the requirements” of specified parts of various laws. But this is not an open-ended authority: Any provision of law that can be waived under section 1115 must be listed in section 1115 itself. The work provisions of the TANF program are contained in section 407 (entitled, appropriately, “mandatory work requirements”). Critically, this section, as well as most other TANF requirements, are deliberately not listed in section 1115; they are not waiveable.

In establishing TANF, Congress deliberately exempted or shielded nearly all of the TANF program from the section 1115 waiver authority. They did not want the law to be rewritten at the whim of Health and Human Services (HHS) bureaucrats. Of the roughly 35 sections of the TANF law, only one is listed as waiveable under section 1115. This is section 402.

Section 402 describes state plans—reports that state governments must file to HHS describing the actions they will undertake to comply with the many requirements established in the other sections of the TANF law. The authority to waive section 402 provides the option to waive state reporting requirements only, not to overturn the core requirements of the TANF program contained in the other sections of the TANF law…

While clearly there are the lazy, freeloading useful idiots who will celebrate this reversal in welfare reform much like the idiots who jumped for joy four years ago at the very thought of receiving government checks, said reversal is nothing to celebrate.

What we have here is Barack Obama fast tracking his clueless warp-minded supporters and the nation down the road to serfdom while currying their favor and their votes.

On the one hand, Obama has failed to realize that those he is playing up to are lazy, mindless and clueless. They will take the money and run yes, but the last thing that they will do is rise from their slumber to deliver a vote to Barack Obama on Election Day.

On the other hand, if the nation is so cursed with another four years of this dictator, Obama will turn on his slaves thereby forcing them to reap that which they have sewn.  After all, free money and freedom is just an illusion but shhhhhh.  Obama supporters have not figured that out yet.

ELECTION 2012: Romney Schools Useful Idiot Looking for Free Birth Control

Great response but Romney could have and should have taken advantage of the opening bestowed upon by him by the useful idiot troll by further elaborating

• that there is no such thing as a free ride;

• the significance of being self-reliant and answerable to one’s own choices; and

• the debauchery of coveting someone else’s money; namely, taxpayer dollars.

He had an open field to hit the ball out of the park on this one.  Come on man, do it!

Romney must assure Americans that should he end up with the Republican nomination that he has the hubris to clean Obama’s clock on and off the debate floor.  I am still not getting that from him but overall, he handled himself pretty well here.   H/t Washington Examiner.

Okay, she is unemployed. So what?  Yeah I see she has young children.  Hire a babysitter and take a course that would set her up to become gainfully employed.  She now has the money to take such a  course without depending on entitlements and a system built to keep one poor and a slave. 

There is no excuse for this woman to continue receiving taxpayer dollars.  This is abuse of the worst kind. Cut her off and BEFORE she spends all of her winnings on parties, crap, games, Xbox, casino gambling or whatever her vices may be.  

One additional note, while Progressives argue that people receiving food stamps and government benefits are not spending their entitlements gambling, what the heck do they think this woman used to buy lottery tickets?  

STOP THE MADNESS.

IN DEFENSE OF RUSH LIMBAUGH.

Maybe the correct title of this post should be, “As if Limbaugh’s the only one.”

As most of you already know, I tend to at times view the world through another lens which I chose to do this past weekend.  I ran my own little test, the results of which are provided below.

I showed the above video clip of the statements made by Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student, who has indicated that spending $3,000 a year for contraceptives out of her pocket for her have sex is not financially viable for her and should thus be funded by the federal government, er correction taxpayers.

I asked for reactions to Fluke’s statements and must say that the responses were far more harsh than that of Rush Limbaugh.

Not sugar coated in anyway, I must warn you that the language that came out of said results at times are quite raw and may be offensive to some.

Bear in mind that I reside in NYC, a socialist state almost by nature. Everyone who shared their opinions consider themselves Democrats and voted for Barack Obama.  In addition, only a handful of those I interveiwed are a part of the welfare state.

GROUP 1:  My son and his buddies.  The average age of these men are from their late 20’s to late 30’s.  Some of the immediate reactions were as follows:

“Ho!”

“Girl’s a f#### slut yo!”

“Ain’t that what Planned Parenthood is for?”

“Yo son, that b***** is a ho! Oh, excuse me Ms. S.”

“Georgetown huh? Where’s her dormroom?  I want to get in on this action!”

“So it’s like that huh?  Where she live Ma?”

GROUP 2:  Young Black American women, average age 18 to mid 30’s whose reactions were:

“What’s up with this b*****, she think she too good for Planned Parenthood?”

 “How she gonna go on tv and put her business out there like that? What’s up with  that”

“Ho!”

“Yo, she goes to Georgetown?  That ho’ is f***** her a*** off while she should be getting an education.  Let me go there!”

“Damn this b**** is a whore, omg!”

“She should be ashamed of herself.  Pay for your own contraceptives if you want to be out there like that.”

GROUP 3:  Mature adults (men and women) approximately ages 40 and over:

“I’m glad that’s not my daughter.  Her parents are paying for her to get a good education and instead she out there messing around all over the place.”

“That girl should be ashamed of herself going on down there and putting her business on the street like that.  That ain’t nothing to be proud of.”

“I don’t give a damn what she doing, I don’t want my tax dollars paying for her whoring around.  If she can afford to go to Georgetown, let her buy her own damn contraceptives.”

“These young girls out here are a bunch of whores.  I don’t know what their problem is.”

“Let her take her a** to Planned Parenthood, Walgreens, Duane Reade or Rite Aide like everyone else.  I ain’t paying of her to be out there f###### around.”

“She’s a ho, what do you expect?”

“She want to f### around, she can pay for her own shit.  I don’t pay for my own child to screw around there, why should I pay for someone else’s?”

“Thats why there’s so many diseases out there.”

Of course, when I recounted Limbaugh’s statement and the attacks being levied against him by the left, some folks responded “Rush Limbaugh, well he’s a racist anyway” while others agreed with the man even though they admitted that they were not Limbaugh fans.

One common denominator is that all were equally disgusted by Fluke’s statements.

For those who feel the need to lash out at me for my findings, forgeddaboudit!  They are what  they are.  I am not interested in engaging you, debating you, your attempts at baiting me or hearing from the Progressive side of the planet.

No amount of demonizing Rush Limbaugh will change the overwhelming viewpoints of Americans on both the left and the right in their true assessment of Fluke’s performance or the facts, which by the way happens to be that last week’s dog and pony show was exactly that thereby lacking any form of legitimacy whatsoever.

Moreover, Fluke is no victim or hero.  She is a so-called women’s rights activist close to a decade older than she stated last week before millions on C-SPAN and even worse a shameless propaganda tool for Progressives and guess whom else?  Oh yes, that never-ending campaigner-in-chief, Barack Obama, who rather than run on his accomplishments  failingss must run on distractions, misrepresentations, tainted realities and Marxist propaganda.

In other words, America, Fluke deception and participation in Pelosi’s circus last week was really about taking one for the boys.  Before Progressives reading this remark get all up in arms, note I said “taking one for the boys” not from the boys.

I refer you to The Blaze’s article referencing Sandra Fluke being a flake, fluke and propaganda tool for Marxists, primarily Barack Obama (my choice of words not theirs – excerpt below).

It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women’s right advocate. In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown’s insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services,  she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy. During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed. Magically, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify. This morning, in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old,  NOT the 23 that had been reported all along….”
