Clinton Talks Drug Abuse at Fundraiser Hosted by Convicted Coke Dealer

Hillary Clinton attended a fundraiser last week hosted by John A. Zaccaro, a drug felon convicted in 1988 of selling cocaine to an undercover police officer.

Formerly known “the pharmacist,” Zaccaro is also son of the late Geraldine Ferraro.

Hillary Clinton spoke on the urgency of addressing drug abuse problems in the United States and also the need to reform the criminal justice system.

‘I have to tell you, I didn’t expect to be talking about [substance abuse] in my presidential campaign,’ Clinton said in private remarks at a fundraiser in New York last week. ‘In 2013, we had more deaths by overdoses than we did with car accidents….’

Clinton’s attendance at the fundraiser of a convicted drug felon puts on display two things:

First, Progressives have no moral compass.

Second, the hypocrisy and double standard of Progressives who call for fair treatment, equality and leveling the playing field for the poor across the board.

The son of a former vice presidential candidate with friends in high places walked away with a four-month sentence that he served from a luxury apartment, 300 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine.

Due to the uproar that followed the sentence aka a walk in the park, Zaccaro, who was not a small time drug dealer, did not serve the “full four months of house arrest due to good behavior.”

Then 22 year old undercover police officer, Laura Manning, testified at the trial that when she went to make the drug purchase, Zaccaro pulled out “from under his couch a tray that contained about 15 packets of cocaine marked in¼-,½-and one-gram designations….”

Several electronic scales and other equipment often used by drug dealers were also found on the premises.

If Zaccaro who clearly received special treatment were a Black, Hispanic or poor white male arrested for the same offense, the system would have thrown the book at him.

Earlier this year when speaking on the death at a Columbia University forum on the criminal justice system, Clinton stated,

We have allowed our criminal justice system to get out of balance…. We need to restore balance to our criminal justice system….

Clinton not referring in her speech to “the pharmacist” was talking about the incarceration of Black males.

There is something profoundly wrong when African American men are still far more likely to be stopped and searched by police, charged with crimes, and sentenced to longer prison terms than are meted out to their white counterparts….

…They do have to be in some way registered in the criminal justice system, but we don’t want that to be a fast track to long-term criminal activity, we don’t want to create another ‘incarceration generation….’

Clinton is OUT OF TOUCH. Her remark will be seen by Black America as one of the problems since Black males starting at around the age of 13 (maybe younger these days because of gangs) suddenly find themselves in the site lines of the police state.

Don’t get nervous, I am not embarking on a Progressive rant.

What Clinton is advocating has been in place for as far back as most Blacks remember. It is called CARDING. My grandmother warned her sons, my mother warned my brother and I spoke to my son about his activities, rights, wrongs and CARDING made obtainable through commission of the most minor infraction by an individual.

While Progressives decry the incarceration of Black males, none will discuss CARDING but that’s another post.

….I’ve been encouraged to see changes that I supported as Senator to reduce the unjust federal sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine crimes finally become law.

And last year, the Sentencing Commission reduced recommended prison terms for some drug crimes….

Clinton who mentioned her awareness of the issue as a young attorney declared, “we don’t want to create another ‘incarceration generation;” however, CARDING and mass incarceration of the Black male for whatever reason was put into overdrive by hubby, BILL CLINTON, i.e., POTUS42.

It is Bill Clinton and Democrats who passed the “Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994” thereby bringing about the mass incarceration of “a generation of black men” referred to by Hillary as the “incarceration generation,” and the subject of which I will revisit at a later date should Clinton become the candidate of choice for the left.

Federal court rules that non-criminal behavior can justify a “border stop”

A combination of non-suspicious driving characteristics can give rise to the suspicion of criminal activity in the opinion of the full Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals. In a Christmas Eve ruling, the judges weighed whether Border Patrol agents were right to conduct a “border stop” of a red Ford F-150 pickup truck on Interstate 15 while 70 miles north of the border with Mexico.

Border Patrol Agent Luis Lopez spotted the Ford weaving through traffic without signaling, driving about 10 MPH faster than other traffic that day. Agent Jeffery Hays, in a marked Border Patrol vehicle, pulled next to the red truck, but its driver, Rufino Ignacio Valdes-Vega, kept his eyes watching the road ahead. Hays deemed that suspicious. In addition, Hays noted there were no other people in the Ford, which was clean and had Baja California license plates. Agent Hays pulled Valdes-Vega over, but not for traffic violations. He wanted to perform a search of the truck. When he did, he found drugs….

When the dealer reached inside his car to get something, she was worried about what he might be getting so she wrapped him with a baseball bat.  That’s not the entire story.  The guy that Ms. Gavin hit was responsible for son for her son becoming a heroin addict.  Ms Gavin it put a lot of time and effort love and money into getting her Sun clean and drug-free again…”

Have you ever wondered how many mothers across the USA are in the fight of their life and the struggle to save their children from the vermin that Ms. Gavin is fighting to keep away from her child and out of his life?

We never hear of them except for when they face persecution for doing that which the system cannot or refuses to do.  

The system is flawed, it has failed and Prosecutor Wegge is persecuting the wrong person.

Finally to answer our friend, Grumpy Elder’s question; in spite of what the system and our government seeking to supersede the rights of  parent would attempt to legislate, YES, it is a mother’s right!

OCCUPY DENTON: Death of 23 Year Old Man at Occupy Denton Possibly Drug Related (UPDATED)

UPDATE:  Occupy Denton has now been dismantled after a young man was found dead this weekend, possibly due to a drug overdose.

According to an Occupy Denton, press release, his name is Darwin Cox and he was only 23 years old. Officials say that Cox died around 4:30 pm Saturday afternoon, the cause of death is possibly drug-related.

“Police on Sunday identified a man found dead in a tent at the “Occupy Denton” protest campsite on the grounds of the University of North Texas (UNT).

Darwin Cox, 23, died at around 4:30 p.m. local time Saturday, according to a police press release.

University and city police found his body at the eight-tent encampment after someone contacted authorities between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, UNT spokesman Buddy Price told KNTU Radio.

His cause of death has not yet been determined, pending toxicology results….

…An ‘Occupy Denton’ press release described him as ‘a fellow occupier, a kind and idealistic young man and a friend” whose ‘lifelong struggle with drug addiction…” 

“A fellow occupier” with a “lifelong struggle with drug addiction…”??????

Am I the only one who has a problem with such a statement, especially coming from Marxists who don’t give a damn about anything but their own oppressing agenda?

How could a 23 year old have  a lifelong struggle with drug addiction unless he was born hooked on drugs and spent his whole life on drugs.

Has the death of this young man now become an OWS smear campaign in an effort to distance itself from the turn of events that took place this weekend at Occupy Denton?

If so, it is far too late to clean up the reputation justifiably earned by these occupiers invaders squatters.

When will enough be enough?  The news coming out of the Marxist encampments keep getting worse.

 

For the second time, in less than a week, a young person has died at one of these communes under questionable circumstances.

On Saturday, a young woman who has yet to experience life was found, not breathing at the commune known as Occupy Vancouver, i.e., dead from a suspected overdose.

 

 

 

 

“…The woman, whom Occupy participants were calling ‘Ashley’ was found unresponsive by Occupy’s medical team around 4:30 p.m. and was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The death, following an overdose at the site Thursday, prompted Mayor Gregor Robertson to say there is an urgent need to shut down the site due to ‘life safety’ issues.

 

‘Obviously really really tragic circumstances – this loss of life and the overdose just a few days ago clearly demonstrate though that the situation here in camp has deteriorated. Life safety is paramount,’ Robertson said at an 8 p.m. media scrum on the west side of the art gallery. ‘I have directed the city manager to expedite the appropriate steps to end the encampment as soon as possible, with a safe resolution being absolutely critical to that…”

Occupy Victoria protesters given notice to vacate Monday

“VANCOUVER — Officials at the cities of Vancouver and Victoria have reached the end of their patience with Occupy protesters, but each city is trying a dramatically different tact to clear the Occupy sites.

Victoria issued official notice to protesters Sunday telling them they had until noon Monday to clear out, and that the occupation conflicts with other planned events….

…In Vancouver, city officials are hoping to negotiate an end to the occupation….”

The ugly reality is that the tragic deaths of young Louis Rodriquez, a street poet at OKC and “Ashley” and their families in the eyes of the Progressives running the show are considered collateral damage, a distraction and said distractions will not be tolerated.

Stalin apologist, Walter Duranty, wrote:

Progressives pulling the strings behind this Marxofascist occupation invasion movement are of the same mind set.  They will not waste a second mulling over the deaths of useful idiots whom they are aggressively manipulating into bequeathing their liberties and their soul.

The time is now to send these young misguided and manipulated fools home to their families while they are still breathing by Progressives attempting to achieve their end game.
