Our Mission Statement at VeteransTales.com, a Fundraiser

Veterans’ Tales by Vassar Bushmills

A word from the Garritrooper, just so you’ll know where we intend to go with VeteransTales.org. and the Veterans 15:13 Foundation

A Little Background

In the mid-80s, when I was in industry, a second-shift floor mechanic came up to me and said, “If you’ll put me on first shift and give me a little raise, I’ll work harder.”

No, really. He said that.

Yet here we are begging for a raise, without a proven product, or for that matter, any indication we can actually deliver the goods.

The wise donor has to first agree that what we want to accomplish at VeteranTales is worthwhile, but also uniquely so; that it is not something you can pick off the shelfnice at Walmart. We prove that here.

Then second the donor to assume that no one else out there with greater bona fides isn’t attempting the same thing. Arguably this can be proved anecdotally by simply stating this Veterans USA 15:13 effort is swimming in waters no one in the veterans’ world is exploring. What we offer is different, the opportunity to trade on”being American”, which almost no one pays attention to anymore, yet is so important to our future.

It would also be nice if someone more notable than us could vouch for us. What if someone like John Kerry had agreed to serve as our Honorary Chairman? He’s a veteran, you know, and I think he still holds the combined service record for most Purple Hearts received without ever drawing blood. Would that help?

Third, you have to believe that we have the skills to cause this project to take shape according to our Mission Statement, below.

We have resumes, found in our writings and stories, at UnifiedPatriots.com and VassarBushmills.com, on subjects far afield from veterans’ affairs, but very near and dear to the heartbeat of ordinary Americans[…]

Editor’s Note: Allen Ness and Vassar Bushmills are working hard toward the full achievement of Veterans’ Tales, whose entire endeavor is centered around our veterans.

Looking for sponsors,  Veterans’ Tales, a dedicated forum to and for our veterans,is holding a fundraiser.  As stated in Vassar’s missive below, “…Veterans’ Tales is not political, nor can it be, for protecting the essence of American culture has to be a bottom-up endeavor…Our 501c3 non-profit, Veterans USA 15:13 Foundation, will be fully operational by year’s end.”

[Disclosure: PUMABydesign001 is a Founding Sponsor of Veterans’ Tales.] Please visit Veterans’ Tales, where you can read the mission statement in its entirety. Join us and please pass the word.  Hope to see you there.

Hillary Clinton is not happy. A new ad from a pro-Donald Trump PAC is creating a lot of buzz and unmasking the treachery and corruption behind the Clinton team. The ad is working so well that the Clinton campaign is now trying to force the ad off the airwaves altogether.

From the NY Post:

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is pressuring TV stations across the country to stop airing an anti-Clinton political ad sponsored by the pro-Trump super-PAC Rebuilding America Now.

Watch below and see the ad that terrifies the Clinton team before they get it banned from the airwaves.

New York Post

A Minnesota couple shocked the local chapter of the Salvation Army over the weekend when they slipped a $500,000 check into one of the charity’s famous red kettles.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that the couple, who wishes to remain anonymous, made the donation Saturday at a Cub Foods outlet in the Twin Cities suburb of Rosemount. The paper reported that local firefighters handling bell-ringing duties that day were oblivious to the size of the check […]

Below is the press release regarding the donation issued by the Twin Cities Salvation Army:

Record donation to a kettle: $500K from an anonymous donor

…To put it in perspective, the largest single gift in the Twin Cities prior to this one was $25,000, making this gift 20 times larger.

“We are simply stunned and honored to have received such a generous gift,” said Major Jeff Strickler, Twin Cities commander. “This is a true blessing and it could not come at a better time for The Salvation Army and the people we serve.”

The anonymous donors say they made the gift in hopes of encouraging others to give as generously as they can, too.

Also, they wanted to honor one of their fathers, who served in the trenches in World War I, and was always grateful to the Salvation Army Donut Lassies who brought soldiers free coffee and donuts. That simple act of kindness and comfort made a lasting impression and created a family legacy of supporting The Salvation Army.

Plus, when they were a young couple, the donors say money was so tight, they would often rely discarded food from the local grocery store. Today, they can afford to help others in need.

“You get to a point in life where it’s time to take care of others, the way you were taken care of,” the donors said.

The $500,000 donation comes at the perfect time for The Twin Cities Salvation Army. They have set an ambitious, but achievable $11.6 million goal for their Christmas campaign….

AFSCME Blacklists United Negro College Fund for accepting donation from Koch Brothers

AFSCME, one of the nation’s most powerful unions has severed all ties with the United Negro College Fund after the UNCF accepted a $25 million donation from the Koch Brothers based on politics in spite of the fact that the Koch Brothers has been donating to the UNCF since 2005.

Buzzfeedcharles koch

In a letter sent Tuesday, AFSCME President Lee Saunders wrote that the UNCF has taken actions “deeply hostile” to public employees, which he considers a “profound betrayal of the ideals of the civil rights movement,” and that the union will end its relationship with UNCF.

Saunders cited the UNCF’s decision to accept a $25 million grant from Koch Industries, Inc. and the Charles Koch Foundation as a reason for the split, as well as the decision by UNCF President Michael Lomax to speak at a summit hosted by the Kochs in California.

For Progressives, ideology trumps education

AFSCME’s message to the UNCF: How dare Black people step off the plantation. How dare the UNCF accept donations from one who shares different politics and views of what America should be. (cynicism)

This donation by the Koch Brothers has nothing to do with politics or one’s ideology unless of course one happens to be an evil Communist as is the case with AFSCME (see letter below) who has decided to punish the UNCF (and the future of Black Americans) for stepping off the Progressive plantation, if only for a moment, by terminating its Union Scholars Program with the UNCF.

View this document on Scribd

The crux of it is that Progressives do not approve of non-progressives donating to causes that would further the education or improve the lot of Blacks out of fear that Blacks will walk away from the Progressive plantation.

Progressivism ballandchain

The massive outcry demanding that the UNCF return the donation to the Koch Brothers gives credence to the fact that Progressives want to keep Blacks on the plantation.

It is only acceptable for Blacks to move up only so long as it one does so under terms laid out by Progressives.

Overlooked amongst the massive outcry is the reality that Black students in receipt of these scholarships acquired due to Koch donations would not be that much less in debt over their heads to the federal government after graduation, something that Progressives find highly objectionable.

Kudos to UNCF president, Lomax for standing his ground and not letting ideology get in the way of what is best.

Just last month, Brooklyn College turned down a $10 million donation from the Koch Brothers and in March, SEIU Local 1199 went bonkers, protesting a $100 million donation from Koch to New York Presbyterian Hospital. The lunacy is due to a difference in politics.

In other words, Progressive elites prefer to see Blacks uneducated, workers unemployed and all government dependent solely because they cannot risk the enslaved walking away from the plantation.

One more thing, have you noticed that the Progressive will only say, “It’s for the children” when something is beneficial to Progressive elites. In this instance, as far as Progressives are concerned, the children can go to hell especially Black children.
