The purge of the Founding Fathers from history beginning  with George Washington.

As warned two months ago by President Donald J. Trump (video at bottom), those who are demolishing and/or taking down Confederate monuments across the United States are now targeting one of America’s founding fathers, our first President, George Washington.

Less than a week ago, leaders of the Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia announced that they will take down a plaque honoring George Washington, who by the way attended that church. Washington even purchased a pew in Christ Church on which the plaque with the founding father’s signature is on display.

But wait, the Episcopalian church will also remove Robert E. Lee’s plaque all for the sake of inclusivity aka political correctness. According to the church, people do not feel safe with the plaques on display. At least be honest (not likely), this is cultural Marxism and historical revisionism at play.

Breitbart by Warner Todd Huston

The vestry of Christ Church in Alexandria’s unanimous decision was announced in an October 26 letter to members first reported by the Republican Standard website. The letter informs churchgoers that the plaques are to be removed to prevent people feeling “unsafe” in the sanctuary.

Hebrews 13:2 says, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Christ Church lives into this call, feeding the hungry with our Lazarus ministry, welcoming the stranger in our refugee ministry, and inviting all to worship with us. The plaques in our sanctuary make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome. Some visitors and guests who worship with us choose not to return because they receive an unintended message from the prominent presence of the plaques.

The letter, signed by 13 members of the governing council of the church, goes on to insist that the eras in which the two famed men lived are “much different than our own”[…]

According to the letter, the plaques will not leave the church “campus” but moved to a location on church property, so as not to offend the congregations and visitors. The move is anticipated to be complete by the summer of 2018. Yet it seems to me that the language in the letter exposes the true agenda at play here meaning a 400 year-old church has resolved that it is “not a museum” or can it be that Church Christ leaders want to be selective and when and to what the church is “historic.” Just saying….

…Many in our congregation feel a strong need for the church to stand clearly on the side of “All are welcome—no exceptions.”

Because the sanctuary is a worship space, not a museum, there is no appropriate way to inform visitors about the history of the plaques or to provide additional context except for the in-person tours provided by our docents….

In other words, the church no doubt a tourist attraction intends to have its cake and eat it too and should that fail, then history must take a back seat.

…The Vestry has unanimously decided that the plaques create a distraction in our worship space and may create an obstacle to our identity as a welcoming church, and an impediment to our growth and to full community with our neighbors. Accordingly, the plaques will be relocated no later than the summer of 2018….

As further pointed out in Breitbart’s article, the church is removing both George Washington and Robert E. Lee’s plaques “because the two occupy opposite areas of the sanctuary and would “unbalance” the aesthetic look of the church if only the Robert E. Lee plaque were to be removed….”

I smell b.s. You can view the church’s three-page letter to its members here in pdf format.

When does revisionist history and hypocrisy cross the line?

According to Wikipedia:

George Washington, Henry Lee, Robert E. Lee, Charles Simms, Philip Marstellar, and Henry Fowler are a few of the church’s notable parishioners (members). Until the twenty-first century, it was tradition for sitting presidents to attend a service. Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Eleanor Roosevelt visited the church on January 1, 1942 to commemorate World Day of Prayer for Peace. The church was known as Fairfax Church until given the name Christ Church in 1816. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970.[3][4]

Does the Christ Church in Alexandria proud of its history until recently plan to scrub the church’s role in shaping American history from its website?

Noting that are Confederate soldiers are buried on the property of Christ Church, will its leaders further cower to social justice by removing those buried there along with the memorial stone and mass grave in the church yard of “thirty-four Confederate prisoners of war who died in local hospitals during the Civil War”, photo above. That is provided the removal and desecration of hollowed ground has not yet taken place.

Will Christ Church of Alexandria, Virginia, Episcopalian, remove every trace of American history, i.e., Civil War and pre-Civil war from their campus by the summer of 2018?

Since Christ of Church states more than once in its letter to congregants that this is the beginning of a discussion that needs to be had how does this play out in the church’s plan for inclusivity and appeasement of those whose sole agenda is to remove American history pre-Abraham Lincoln from our history books?

Asterisk on far left depicts location of Washington’s pew.

From out of the light into the dark.

How does the church’s recent decision play with its bottom line? $$$$$$ Agenda.

What are the odds that the church is looking to further itself among those in the refugee resettlement industry. Let’s see here, refugee resettlement, American history or tourism? (See: Episcopal Chuch.org.)

Clearly, social justice is a priority. This book is all over their twitter page yet there is no room for George Washington, Robert E. Lee, our American history.

The Communist media complex mocked President Trump for equating George Washington, a Founding Father (as if they really care) with Generals Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee.

Even Saturday Night Live got in on the act.

Vindicated yet again,President called it. The purging has nothing to do with any comparisons of our Founders to the Confederacy and to imply as such is a distraction from what is really going on…cultural Marxism and historical revisionism.
