Earlier today while Floridians are being pounded by Hurricane Irma, a bunch of thugs thought it was the perfect time to loot a sneaker store. The crime was caught by television news cameras. The looters did not get far.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police arrested 9 people caught by Local 10 cameras looting Fort Lauderdale business despite the dangerous winds and heavy rain from Hurricane Irma Local 10 cameras caught a group breaking into the Simon’s Sportswear on Sunrise Blvd. and Powerline Road. The group of about 8-9 people broke through the front window and were seen walking in and then walking out with stolen items. Orlando, Florida got hit too.
And then there’s St. Martin. Hurricane Irma hit very hard this island very hard just short of total destruction yet there are those who wasted no time to take advantage of a good crisis.
St. Martin appears to have transformed into South Africa overnight.
The island has evolved into chaos with businesses have been gutted, thugs up to no good are carrying revolvers and machetes.

I grew up in the hood where there was rioting and looting in the 60’s, early 70’s and during the blackouts in New York City. The poor and working middle class and businesses in those communities pay the price.
Can’t imagine what tonight will be like in Florida, Georgia and wherever else Irma touches down.
