In a candid interview with Eric Cantor in The Washingtonian, Cantor admits Obamacare could not be repealed and replaced, even if Republicans held both chambers. It’s obvious he knows it won’t be repealed now, even with Trump in the White House.
Cantor led the charge over several years and helped create the false impression that Obamacare would be repealed and replaced.
His lie, and he admits he “never believed it”, cost the former minority whip his seat in the House. It has also put Republicans in their current, untenable position. They are expected to repeal and replace the Obama healthcare bill, but many of the establishment Republicans have never and still don’t have any intention of doing it.
Cantor told The Washingtonian that he feels “100 percent responsible” for creating the perception that it would be repealed and replaced.
He admits he knew it was “dead on arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate…”

Read this post, and one thing will come across right away. Eric Cantor lied to us, and he would have continued lying to us if his lie had not blown up in his face.
There is, however, a second detail that makes reading The Washingtonian article upon which this post is based a must-read. Cantor is not a Conservative. He is a pretender, and he always was a pretender.
When we consider elitists like Cantor, people who apparently consider themselves so much wiser than the unwashed masses, we must stop for a moment and contemplate why they think what they think of us.
Was Cantor selling his vote? Well, if he was, the people in Cantor’s district have sent him packing. Why? How do politicians like Cantor get elected? Don’t promise to bring home the bacon? Don’t the promise to buy our votes with “other people’s money”?
The folks in Cantor’s district refused to let him buy their votes with “other people’s money”, but other such politicians remain in Congress. Is your congressman — are your senators — buying your vote with other people’s money?
Have you contemplated the Declaration of Independence? Do you want a government that lives up to the expectations incorporated in that document? Think about it. Consider what kind of country we are leaving our children. Is what you think your government is giving you today worth what it will cost our children and grandchildren?
