In a candid interview with Eric Cantor in The Washingtonian, Cantor admits Obamacare could not be repealed and replaced, even if Republicans held both chambers. It’s obvious he knows it won’t be repealed now, even with Trump in the White House.

Cantor led the charge over several years and helped create the false impression that Obamacare would be repealed and replaced.

His lie, and he admits he “never believed it”, cost the former minority whip his seat in the House. It has also put Republicans in their current, untenable position. They are expected to repeal and replace the Obama healthcare bill, but many of the establishment Republicans have never and still don’t have any intention of doing it.

Cantor told The Washingtonian that he feels “100 percent responsible” for creating the perception that it would be repealed and replaced.

He admits he knew it was “dead on arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate…”
