It would be hard to find someone who is not familiar with the 2012 report by The Boston Globe regarding Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s failure to furnish any tribal documentation or genealogical evidence of her Native American heritage.
The Globe reported that Warren identified herself as Native American to Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, when she taught at both schools, in order to use her “minority status” as a way to further her career[…]

I have been involved with The Indigeneous American Community for awhile because of documented relationships to the Pennsylvania Lenape Peoples (a.k.a., “Delawares” — courtesty of the “Shewanakwa” (Caucasian Europeans) and even though I am mostly — deceptively — “White” I understand a few things.
One of the things that I understand is that there are thousands of American Citizens who …. for whatever their reasons …. have a deep and burning desire to be recognized for some measure of “Indian Blood” and so they do all the things — They make themselves deerskin clothing … pipes …. dance fires ….”Pow Wows” … and they get together and do their thing and trade their stories with one another.
The Indigenous Communities (Also known collectively as “The Real People” or “The People” have a name for such as these and the name is “Wannabe” — also called sometimes, “Wanna-Bee.”
Whatever they may be their most distinguishing characteristic among real Indigenous Peoples is something a lot of people would label …… “Phony.”
