It was during his appearance at Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC 2016) that Dr. Benjamin Carson announced the suspension of his 2016 presidential bid.

While Carson announced, “I am leaving the campaign trail,” the neurosurgeon assured us that he would remain heavily involved “in saving our nation.” Carson’s speech was followed up by a Q&A session with Fox News contributor, Mercedes Schlapp.

Carson announced “that he is taking up the role of chairman of ‘My Faith Votes,’ a nonpartisan organization to ‘inspire and motivate; Christians to vote.”
