LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School Board in Las Vegas is ignoring parents’ concerns and pushing forward with the possibility of including lessons on gender identity, sexual orientation in the district’s sex ed curriculum.
The board voted Thursday to explore expanding the district’s sex education curriculum for middle and high school students to include several controversial topics Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union thinks are important, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
“I understand there are sensitivities for different groups of my constituents, but no student should feel as though they are not valid,” trustee Chris Garvy told the large public meeting at Las Vegas Academy….

I get so sick of hearing about a group of traditional Americans saying they object to being subjected to something, or their kids being subjected to something, and them some wiseass like this trustee making a comment like this: “but no student should feel as though they are not valid,” twisting the issue into accusing the parents of slandering or slurring someone. It’s BS. And the people who do it need to be called out for THAT just as much as trying to ram something down people’s throats.
But if you want to play that game, here’s one; “My kid thinks he’s the Incredible Hulk, Mr. Trustee. Don’t you dare invalidate him. You want ‘No rules, no definitions, anything goes’? Your precious schoolbuilding will become a sea of anarchy and chaos.”
See, even the ones who don’t really believe in that crap are scared to death of being sued. So the parents need to up the ante and use the same tactics.
