Foot soldiers of Barack Hussein Obama the vengeful declared war on Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) aggressively and immediately after Schumer’s announcement that he will oppose Obama’s legacy/Iran deal.
Former senior adviser Obama, current @CNN contributor Dan Pfeiffer (so much for mainstream media being fair and balanced) tweeted out last night:
and
The threat is imminent as some Progressives are comparing Schumer who is up for re-election in 2016 to Joe Lieberman, accusing Schumer of trying to start a war and have declared the senator unfit to lead the Senate in 2017 after Harry Reid retires.
Moveon.org launched a petition last night demanding that Schumer withdraw his support for the Corker and Menendez legislation.
Calling out Schumer, Ilya Sheyman, Executive Director of MoveOn.org Political Action released a statement (excerpt below):
…it is outrageous and unacceptable that the Democrat who wants to be the party’s leader in the Senate is siding with the Republican partisans and neoconservative ideologues who are trying to scrap this agreement and put us on the path to war.
Risking American lives in wars of choice isn’t leadership, it’s small and backward.
Our country doesn’t need another Joe Lieberman in the Senate, and it certainly doesn’t need him as Democratic leader. The vast majority of Democratic voters — the people who elected President Obama in part because of our shared belief that war must always be a last….
Obama talking points, no doubt.
Sheyman has also called on MoveOn.org’s membership of 8 million to immediately withholding donations to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign and any other Progressive who opposes the Iran deal.
According to news reports, Schumer informed the White House yesterday that he would make his announcement today (Friday).
The White House without delay leaked the announcement to the Huffington Post who took the ball and ran with it, forcing Schumer to move his announcement up.
…Schumer’s support of a war footing over diplomacy puts him at odds with the Democratic caucus he intends to lead next term, though it is consistent with the position he has long taken.
As the soon-to-be leader of his party in the Senate, Schumer’s decision to directly fight President Barack Obama on the biggest foreign policy achievement of his presidency is a bold, but not surprising, move. Schumer has long been more hawkish on foreign policy than some of his fellow Democrats….
Credo Action on twitter last night dispatched the following tweets:
The intent is to reign in or destroy Schumer and any other Progressive who opposes Obama’s legacy/the Iran deal who dissents. So un-American.
So what does social media have to say about Schumer’s announcement to oppose the Iran deal and will Schumer and others walk back their intent to oppose the Iran deal.
While many on Twitter (see tweets below) appear to go along with Moveon.org’s call for action against Schumer and other Progressives, there are those voicing their concerns on Moveon.org’s Facebook page who feel otherwise.

@iSheyman @MoveOn @chuckschumer who is talking about war without a deal? Where did this become deal or war?

@iSheyman @KatrinaNation @chuckschumer @MoveOn I think he's figured out that it now has enough votes to pass — so he can oppose.

The base won't support a leader who thought Obamacare was a mistake and wants War with Iran https://t.co/w812OOGd8x

.@SenSchumer came out against Iran Deal during the Republican debate so it wouldn't get big coverage. @SenBennetCO were do you stand?

@southerntalker @RhiannonKWY @SenSchumer @SteveIsraelNY I hope so but so many weaker dems fear confrontation and go for electability

@SenSchumer sorry my senator but this is something we will have to remember when you are up for re-election. https://t.co/nMhYNagOvx

@SenSchumer @Medium I remember when CS was a Democrat. You can't reject ACA and Iran deal and still claim leadership.

Schumer would also vote to override Obama's veto of a resolution of disapproval of Iran deal, a spokesman says. Veto override is key vote.

So who will blink first?
Clearly, Schumer’s decision to oppose Obama’s legacy/Iran deal is a bigger threat than Progressives would have us believe.
