Toledo Municipal Court Judge C. Allen McConnell
Toledo, Ohio’ gay Gestapo has declared war on Toledo Municipal Court Judge C. Allen McConnell who refused based on his personal convictions and religion to officiate over gay marriage ceremony of two lesbians.
Equality Toledo whose primary agenda according to its website is to “eliminate discrimination in our region on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, through education, activism and other anti-defamation efforts” along with Progressive council members and a selective array of bureaucrats throughout Ohio are pushing a petition that would force McConnell, a Democrat to “fulfill the duty of his elected position,” (perform gay marriages) or seek employment elsewhere.
Pursuant to a statement by Equality Toledo’s executive director, Nick Komives:
‘We are disappointed that Judge Allen McConnell has refused to fulfill the duty of his elected position…If he does not agree with the laws of the United States of America, he is free to work to change them — either as a citizen or as a member of a legislative body. But as judge, he has absolutely no discretion — he must apply and follow the law, including the ones with which he does not agree….
How ugly can we expect this assault on Judge McConnell’s integrity to become? Toledo council member Lindsay Webb who has signed the petition and lined up against the judge is concerned McConnell’s “ability to be impartial on all matters.”
Judge McConnell after refusing to perform the marriage issued the following statement:
“On Monday, July 6, I declined to marry a non-traditional couple during my duties assignment. The declination was based upon my personal and Christian beliefs established over many years. I apologize to the couple for the delay they experienced and wish them the best. The court has implemented a process whereby same-sex marriages will be accommodated. I will continue to perform traditional marriages during my duties assignment. I am also seeking advisory opinion from the Supreme Court of Ohio at this time as to whether or not I can opt out of the rotation. Upon receipt of the advisory opinion from Supreme Court , I will abide by its decision.”
Of course, the gay Gestapo objects to the wording used in McConnell’s statement. Nick Komives espousing typical gay mafia dribble:
‘He referred to the couple as non-traditional. and the Supreme Court just said that’s not the case…It’s also upsetting because they were asking for an apology from him and rather than actually giving a true apology, he decided to apologize for their wait time. Which just frankly is not enough… he has now proven that he’s not going to treat LGBT people fairly, and that he will use his personal bias to influence the ruling that he comes out with…’
Surprised? Don’t be. Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.
So will the gay Gestapo successfully impeach the Honorable Judge C. Allen McConnell, president of the Toledo NAACP and former prosecutor?

Judge McConnell has served on many boards during his career including President of the Toledo Legal Aid Society, President of the Toledo branch of the NAACP, Trustee of the University of Toledo Foundation, United Way Trustee, Mid-American Bank (Westgate Branch Board member), Toledo Greater Urban League, Pro-Medica Board of Toledo and Flower Hospital Children’s Foundation, Frederick Douglas Community Center and the Toledo Symphony Board. Over the years Judge McConnell has received many awards and commendations for his community service.
Better yet, will the NAACP stand by McConnell or throw the judge under the bus? No pun intended.

I give the Judge my respect for his courage in his Faith
I’m surprised may I add that the gays went after a black man they have put their attacks on white Christians and may have bargained for a whole lot of trouble after all the Black Pastors are against gay unions
