About 500 Army majors, some of them now serving in Afghanistan, will begin receiving notices next week that they must leave the service as the Army cuts troop strength to meet budget cuts, the outgoing Army vice chief of staff said Friday.

Many of the majors being pink slipped are serving in Afghanistan.

Just two weeks ago, 1100 captains were pink slipped, 87 of whom were deployed worldwide, 48 were in Afghanistan when given notice.

With all of the chaos going across the globe, the United States needs its military to remain intact. We can, however, do without that load of horse manure stinking up the White House.

This is an outrage. The men and women who serve deserve better. The United States of America deserves better.
