Throwing his own words back at him, D.C. rapper Wale slammed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Friday on Twitterfor his efforts to force the Washington Redskins to change its team name.
In a series of tweets, Wale recalled remarks Reid made in 2008 about President Obama being a ”light-skinned” African American with no “negro dialect,” and said the Nevada Democrat uses racism to “make a bigger name” for himself.
Olubowale Victor Akintimehin aka Wale has 3.66M followers and while some may be willing to give Reid a pass, the odds are that the majority of this man’s followers are Obama supporters and they will not.
In any event, regardless of how they feel, Wale is educating his fan base, many of whom never heard of Harry Reid, let alone his antics. Reid will now be on their radars. See Wale’s tweets below:
