PETA MLK JR DAY AD ELEPHANT 002

Progressive group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) crossed the red line this week when they attempted to co-opt the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. in pursuit of furthering their agenda via Twitter.

Originally, I thought that PETA might not have been prepared for the outrage that followed but as I understand it, this is not the first time that PETA has been accused of being racially insensitive.

Per USA Today, in 2012, PETA displayed a photograph of “lynched men next to a photo of a hanging cow….In 2009, members dressed in Ku Klux Klan garb to protest the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, arguing that the American Kennel Club was trying to create a “master race” when it comes to purebred dogs.”

Below are a handful of the responses elicited by PETA’s actions. Warning: One or two tweets might contain raw language.

Ahhhhhh Progressives, give them enough rope and they will expose themselves and their disdain for Black Americans.

Various Progressive groups have co-opted the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. to push their agenda. In the process, propagandists, Marxist elites in collusion with so-called Black leaders and the mainstream media have either remained silent and are complicit re-writing King’s legacy and that of the Civil Rights movement.

Not much better, Black America has for the most part remained silent while Progressive organizations abuse King’s legacy, that of the Civil Rights movement and those who do speak out are often ignored.

As with most Progressives, PETA’s ideology, outweighs the fact that their ads are offensive.
