Iowa healthcare exchange

Because of an Obamacare computer glitch, 62 year old Iowan Bill Douglas will be forced to wait weeks, maybe even months for much needed eye surgery. H/t Bad Blue.

Douglas who filed his application in November 2013 and suffers from glaucoma was one of approximately 16,000 Iowans who received notice last week of the “glitch/delay” due to a “last-minute foul-up between the state and federal governments.”

Those whose applications were caught up in one of Obamacare’s latest snafus must re-apply for coverage on Iowa’s Medicaid site thereby resetting the clock.

According to Iowan state officials, the fault lies with their “federal counterparts” who failed to push things through timely on their end.
