On Thursday, Barack Obama made his faux “if you like your canceled healthcare insurance plan, you re-apply for it, if you can afford it and keep it until one day after the November 2014 election” speech.
Washington DC Insurance Commissioner, William P. White shortly thereafter expressed his concerns publicly about the bogus Obamacare fix only to find himself 24 hours later terminated for doing his job and telling the truth.
Pursuant to the Washington Times, White stated that:
…The action today undercuts the purpose of the exchanges, including the District’s DC Health Link, by creating exceptions that make it more difficult for them to operate…threatens to undermine the new market, and may lead to higher premiums and market disruptions in 2014 and beyond….
Not even 24 hours later, White called into the office by one of DC Mayor Gray’s top deputies who informed the now former commissioner that the mayor wants to go in a different direction.
While not informed straight out that his statement expressing dissatisfaction with the faux Obamacare fix was the reason behind the termination, the timing remains suspect.
…White’s statement was removed from the department’s Web site sometime before Friday morning. Asked about the removal Friday, spokesman Michael Flagg said the department’s statement had changed….
