In allegiance with fellow bloggers/patriots, I will not be posting today in protest to the illegal assaults against Conservatives, i.e., swatting.

The following email received early this morning from The Liberty News Report will shed light upon our motive for the shutdown(s).

Today we shut down LibertyNews.com to bring awareness to a story that is sending shock waves across the internet and beyond. You can view our temporary message here. You absolutely must view the entire story here.

Most of you have probably never heard of Brett Kimberlin. That’s quite understandable because most of our team had never heard of him either… until this week. You see, Brett Kimberlin, also known as the ‘speedway bomber,’ recently began organizing coordinated attacks on conservative writers. Kimberlin is using the legal system to shut down free speech and he’s doing so effectively.

There is another sinister angle to what Kimberlin and his eThugs are doing. They’re now organizing SWATtings against bloggers. In essence, someone calls the police to report a shooting in a conservative blogger’s home, then a SWAT team shows up and arrests the blogger at gun point.

This harassment is illegal and is aimed at completely shutting down opposing opinions. And unfortunately, there are judges willing to go along with it.

ACTION LIST (PLEASE DO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, IF POSSIBLE)

  3. SIGN OUR PETITION demanding that Eric Holder and the rest of OUR government launch an investigation and put an end to this.
  4. Contact media and demand they cover this story. There is a black out and it needs to stop.
  5. Forward this message to every one you know.

It’s critical we make noise on this. Do not let these radicals get an upper hand here and shut down our right to speak freely.

CLARIFICATION: We passed around an email this morning that displays our opinion the SWATtings and litigation efforts may all be connected. It is simply our opinion that it may all be connected and we do not mean to directly imply any named individual is responsible for the SWATtings. In fact, this is exactly why we need an investigation… to find out who exactly is responsible for the SWATtings.

Brett Kimberlin is a convicted domestic terrorist. Here’s a detailed account of his terrorist activities.

The Sixth Circuit Court wrote:

Kimberlin was convicted as the so-called ‘Speedway Bomber,’ who terrorized the city of Speedway, Indiana, by detonating a series of explosives in early September 1978. In the worst incident, Kimberlin placed one of his bombs in a gym bag, and left it in a parking lot outside Speedway High School. Carl DeLong was leaving the high school football game with his wife when he attempted to pick up the bag and it exploded. The blast tore off his lower right leg and two fingers, and embedded bomb fragments in his wife’s leg. He was hospitalized for six weeks, during which he was forced to undergo nine operations to complete the amputation of his leg, reattach two fingers, repair damage to his inner ear, and remove bomb fragments from his stomach, chest, and arm. In February 1983, he committed suicide.

He’s also a ‘perjurer, attempted murderer, and all-around vicious jackass.’

Recently he went after blogger Aaron Worthing, who dared to blog about him. Kimberlin ‘attempted to make authorities in Maryland believe that on January 9, 2012, as we were both exiting a courtroom, [Walker] essentially beat him up.‘

Walker published a monster 28,000 word post on the entire affair here.

Patterico noted, ‘This is not an isolated instance, by the way. Kimberlin and his supporters have used frivolous accusations of criminal activity, frivolous lawsuits, and harassment and intimidation to attack every blogger who dared reveal anything about his past — including me. That story is coming.’

After Walker’s post went viral, Kimberlin filed another peace order against him. But it was too late. Bloggers had taken notice, including Stacy McCain. He’s the reason I know about it.

Stacy posted ‘Convicted Terrorist Brett Kimberlin Received $70,000 From Tides Foundation, $10,000 From Streisand, $20,000 from John Kerry’s Wife‘ on May 17th, linking to an article on Capital Research showing how leftists with money had no reservations in giving thousands to a convicted terrorist.

Next he reminded us all who first warned us about Brett Kimberlin…”
