Pingback: Taxpayers spent $1.6 BILLION on free cellphones for poor | American Freedom
Another example of:
1-Why we’re broke
2-The entitlement mentality
This outrages me. Cell Service is NOT a right. I would not have a problem if the wireless providers gave free phones and service to the poor and deducted it offf their tax bill as charity. Why? Because THEN the IRS would be looking for abuse. And the companies would make sure the recipients of the charity were indeed “poor”. Right now, no one is watching because it’s just the taxpayers money.
I am constantly adjusting my cell plan, changing minutes, etc. to control costs. I cannot afford “unlimited data” so I don’t surf the web or do email over my phone. It infuriates me that I am paying for people to have cell phone service!!!!

Good morning Freedom. My point exactly. I am no millionaire, not even close to what Marxists have termed the one percent yet I don’t go in search of freebies.
I consider this an outrage and now free internet service as well. What ever happened to learning to do without? Some of us still live by those rules.
