This is definitely one of those things you have to see to believe. At first I thought that the mall guards did not realize that the man they had down on the ground was deaf. However, as the video went on, it became abundantly clear that they just didn’t give a damn. No doubt heads need to roll on this one. This is as insensitive as one can get.

This or these “mall cops” were way over the top. It doesn’t or shouldn’t take a genius to figure out that the deaf ones, did in fact have disabilities.
The one NOT in a choke hold was frantically trying to hand sign a message, that they could not hear or speak.
Honestly, whether they shop lifted or not, this is no way to detain shop lifters, unless a retail companies love being sued, that is. In this case, this company will be.

I agree JP. They should be sued. Can you believe that? Being a New Yorker, you know nothing shocks us but this is insanity and unforgivable. This video displays mankind at its worse.
Not only should that store be sued, the mall cops should be terminated, sued and everyone working in and along that strip should be ordered into sensitivity training. They truly need it.

This is one of the most incredible videos I have seen. The deaf guy wasn’t even resisting or trying to run away. How those store security guards be so inhumane?
