MASSACHUSETTS SENATE RACE UPDATE 4: COAKLEY CONCEDES – IT IS OVER!!!!!!!
Pay attention. This is NOT a vote FOR Republicans – this NOT a vote FOR anybody. This is a vote AGAINST “one party rule”. FULL STOP.
Most Americans want some sort of health care reform – they just don’t want – won’t accept THIS bill.
The Republicans have a very limited window of opportunity here – get off the defence and on the offence. Push for positive changes to health care – DEMAND effective tort reform – DEMAND allowing insurance companies to offer insurance coverage nationwide – support tax changes to encourage young people to take out health insurance (1% loss of tax deductability for insurance for each year not covered after age 18 – allow tax deductaility as a tax credit say 30% across the board [this will subsidize the lower income earners, and transfer that to the wealthier -fair, and I AM a capitalist)
If you continue to play defence and just whinge (even though it is justified), 2010 will be dissappointing. Conservatives have removed the votes from the idiotic Progresives. Now they have to win them over to the conservative side.
Lady BD
