By demanding that government be held accountable, that government stop treating Americans as their personal ATM machines and that the voices of the American people are heard and adhered to, the government has officially labeled us a threat, i.e., right wing terrorists. Seriously, it is the truth.
Stay frosty, my fellow Americans, apparently we are on the right track because they are worried. However, Obama in all his arrogance, rather than stop the games and rectify the problems that have outraged us so, Obama and his minions have chosen to embark on a campaign of censorship, harassment, oppression and suppression by any means necessary.
The Obama administration in an effort to silence those of us who will never comply with his agenda, had the Department of Homeland Security prepare an assessment dated April 7, 2009 entitled, “RightWing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”
Said report is an assessment of just how dangerous those of us who will attend tomorrow’s tea parties are (joke, sort of). The findings are scary and a clear warning of what will be coming down the pike from the Obama administration.
In fact, we are such a threat that these reports were forwarded to state and local officials wherein DHS has warned local law enforcement agencies that “recent news is helping ‘right-wing extremist groups’ recruit new members and could lead to violence, and warns about the possible recruitment and radicalization of returning veterans.”
Pardon my language, but how fucked up is that? Tea parties have been peaceful and it is our goal that they remain so. The exact wording on page 7 of the report is as follows:
“(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists-including lone wolves or small terrorist cells-to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.
– (U) After Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991, some returning military veterans-including Timothy McVeigh-joined or associated with rightwing extremist groups.
– (U) A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that ‘large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces.’
– (U//LES) The FBI noted in a 2008 report on the white supremacist movement that some returning military veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have joined extremist groups.”
How dare Barack Obama launch an attack against our veterans. This is shameful and disgusting. I do not recall any other president turning on our military as Obama has done. Shame on him and DHS.
If our veterans return to these shores angry, it will be because their lives have been turned upside down, inside out over the past several years being stationed in Iraq, the dark reality of Obama’s programs and the fact that they have returned home to no homes, jobs not to mention the breakdown of their families in their absence.
Let us also not forget that with all due respect to our military whom I love and adore, that it is no secret that the military knowingly recruited gang members, an order that came from somewhere up the chain. In fairness to the gang members who joined the military, I believe that they joined the military to do better for themselves, but one would expect that upon their return home, many will resume their gang membership.
A veteran that is a skinhead or neo-Nazi was a skinhead or neo-Nazi before going to Iraq and/or Afghanistan and the same can be said for a Blood, Crip, Mara Salvatrucha (MS-2 and MS-13), etc. You cannot blame them on conservatives and libertarians. Just for the record, Bloods, Crips, Mara Salvatrucha gangs would be on the left rather than the right. So what the hell is DHS talking about?
True to form, as they did last year, the Obama administration has once again thrown the race card into the fold to further cast shadows over the truth.
Excerpt from p. 2 of the report states:
“Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
Well, I am African American, a Christian and I love everybody. I am not anti-government, but I am against big government, government manipulation, government intrusion and government abusing my taxpayer dollars, lobbyists, higher taxes, pork spending, and the fact that politicians do not respect the word of the people.
Page 3 excerpt:
“(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
(U) Exploiting Economic Downturn
(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish ‘financial elites.’ These ‘accusatory’ tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen. “
“… antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issue…” Yeah, you could say that because Obama is a clueless toad. It does piss me off that so many voted for the dimwit solely based on the color of his skin and look where he is taking us.
The last two paragraphs of the excerpt above clearly indicate just how out of touch the Obama administration really is, or can it be that they just do not give a damn? While many voted Democrat this past election, the votes were anti-Bush, not pro-Obama.
The problems with immigration, citizenship, the economy, unemployment and home foreclosures is not a “right wing” problem, it is a national problem that we all share. Democrats are, therefore, opposed to the Obama agenda on these issues as well.
Said report is meant to as usual muddy the waters, make excuses, and to avoid accountability while the Obama administration proceeds with its agenda. This report insults the intelligence of every American no matter what side of the fence we are on. It is bullshit PURE AND SIMPLE.
In other words, those of us who disagree with Obama and his un-American agenda are a threat to Obama and his agenda. Therefore, we must be watched and just how far the spying will go remains to be told.
Being that this document was dispatched to law enforcement on state and local levels throughout the United States, does this now mean that anyone who brandishes an American flag, sports a tattoo or a Caesar haircut will now be profiled?
In reference to the timing of this report coming out – is this supposed to scare attendees of tomorrow’s tea parties – or is it meant to incite Obama supporters into action, better yet, what kind of action? Coincidental? I think not. Everything Barack Obama does is with purpose and relevant to his agenda.
Why all the concern about our vets and gun sales? Another coincidence, I think not. I suspect that Barack Obama will use this as an excuse to fight gun lobbyists and tighten the laws pertaining the sale of guns even if it is in violation of the United States Constitution. He does not have the balls to take it on straight forward and so he will do it by going through the back door.
Barack Obama knows that many of his decisions will turn the nation against him and that in time his ratings will dive far lower than any of the polls done on GWB.
Bearing in mind that our military pledges an oath to the Constitution not the president, will Obama also now try to use this assessment as an excuse to create a civilian army that will pledge itself to serving the messiah? And will he ask his national civilian service to forsake their God for Obama?

In case you have not noticed it, America is dealing with it, not just right wingers, but the nation as a whole. But then how could you notice it when left wing media does not report it. As for eight years, that’s about as tired as your argument. Yes it was pathetic, but nothing compared to what your messiah is putting on the left, right and whomever else he can oppress, but not to worry, WE WILL HANDLE IT OUR WAY.

As a disabled Vet from the Iraq War(disabled since 2004) I have a few observtions after reading the DHS document.
First, before anyone says anything about being bitter about the election, I voted for Obama. So this is not about being bitter over any elections.
I can go on about the things Obama promised to do, but has completely done the opposite like bringing troops home, ending the Iraq war-but none the less here are my observations about this.
The only person named in this document who was “rdicalized” was Tim McViegh. So they have one out of millions whom serve their country honourably.
One other incident in Pittsburgh where one white man shot three police officers because of losing his job and blaming Obama had no associatins with the Military, never served.
Though, he was not the only one on the warpath because of losing a job. Let’s not forget the Vietnamese Gentleman who went on the rampage for losing his job with IBM.
Perhaps what should be studied is not Veterans in an economic downturn, but violance overall in an economic downturn.
It seems like the administration is more about stripping veterans of entitlements-often in my case-paid for by our blood, less concerned of foeigners exporting violance to our borders, and looking for an excuse to actually radicalize the laws of our country with the “possabilities” of something happening.
This brings me to a point, what is the differance between the reasoning of this paper and President Bush getting us into an ill-gotten war with Iraq based on possabilities? Not much.

Dave, there is no difference whatsoever. I agree with your comment full heartedly.
In reference to the administration’s being more interested in the stripping veterans entitlements, this administration should be ashamed to even consider going that way. A few weeks ago, Obama “appeared” to back off. I do not believe that he will back off from his efforts. I expect him to look for a back door and to use it.
He has shown time and time again his lack of respect and love for our military, our American heroes, and with his stance on the military, he should not be in the Oval Office.
Daring to sound a little far fetched, it could be that this petty, spiteful man we have for a president, decided to strike back against our veterans for taking a stance a few weeks ago when he tried to cut healthcare services for our veterans and had to back off.
After typing and reading the last paragraph, I thought it might be far fetched, but this administration has shown us that nothing is as far fetched as it appears.
And you are right, bitterness has nothing to do with what we are feeling as a people.
